Dragon God Supreme -
Chapter 1171 Mr. Guigu
Chapter 1171: Chapter 1171 Mr. Guigu
"Chi Qingshan, hear my command! Emperor Ling has decreed: dispatch men at once to hunt down Wind Shadow! You must eliminate Wind Shadow no matter the cost!"
Inside the palace of the Moon God Palace, Gu Xingfeng’s voice resounded, authoritative and commanding.
"Understood! We shall follow Emperor Ling’s orders to the letter!" Chi Qingshan and the rest of the Moon God Palace knelt respectfully.
Emperor Ling’s decree was first relayed by Gu Xingfeng to the Moon God Palace.
This time, it was not a capture but an extermination.
Having received the Emperor’s command, Chi Qingshan did not dare delay even for a moment.
"Chi Qingshan, your request has been approved by Emperor Ling. You have permission to eradicate Wind Shadow by any means necessary!" Gu Xingfeng’s voice echoed once more.
"Understood!" Chi Qingshan responded with reverence.
"Transmit the order to the Grand Commander! Return to the Moon God Palace immediately!" Chi Qingshan bellowed, his voice filled with authority and cascading through the palace.
Inside the grand hall of the Moon God Palace, Gu Xingfeng spoke respectfully, "Emperor Ling, the command has been issued; however, the Sky Shadow Pavilion’s strength is formidable. I’m afraid the Moon God Palace alone may not be able to deal with Wind Shadow."
"Wind Shadow’s identity is far from simple." An extremely aged voice suddenly echoed within the hall.
"Greetings, Master of Ghost Valley!" Emperor Ling and the numerous high-ranking individuals promptly knelt with profound respect.
For Emperor Ling, one of the Eight Great Heavenly Emperors under the Heavenly Sovereign, to kneel humbly at this moment demonstrated the terrifying authority of the so-called Master of Ghost Valley—clearly someone who outranked the Emperor Ling.
With no sound nor sign, an elderly man clad in a black robe with hair and beard entirely white appeared in the grand hall. A formless, terrifying force of oppression caused Emperor Ling and the others to tremble with fear.
The old man’s aura was overwhelmingly dreadful, his power far surpassing that of Emperor Ling.
"The Dragon God Clan and Sky Shadow Pavilion have disregarded the divine authority of the clans and should have been eradicated long ago. The Heavenly Sovereign’s inaction will inevitably lead to calamity—and the seeds of disaster have already been sowed," the Master of Ghost Valley uttered darkly.
Emperor Ling asked doubtfully, "What does the Master of Ghost Valley mean by this?"
"There’s a familiar aura about Wind Shadow—the Dragon God Clan is making a resurgence." The Master of Ghost Valley responded cryptically.
"A resurgence?" Gu Xingfeng’s expression abruptly changed.
"The Dragon God Clan and Sky Shadow Pavilion don’t yet possess such power; otherwise, why would they have hidden for so many years without revealing themselves? I believe the Master of Ghost Valley is overthinking it," Emperor Ling said.
The Master of Ghost Valley did not reply, his figure vanishing into thin air.
...
Sky Shadow Pavilion.
Feng Wuchen successfully rescued Tianming and Chasing Moon, following the battle at Xuanming Mountain and the bloody purge of the Glazed Light Sect. Assassins from the Sky Shadow Pavilion were full of admiration.
Assassins that usually remained unseen, including the elite-ranked and the Heaven-grade assassins, all made appearances today.
It was because of Feng Wuchen that they emerged.
The normally desolate Sky Shadow Pavilion was lively today.
"First, slaughtering thousands of guards from the Glazed Light Sect and the Moon God Palace, then laying waste to the Glazed Light Sect again—such incredible prowess far surpasses us gold-ranked assassins by a great margin!"
"Venturing solo into the Spirit Emperor Temple! Absolutely impressive!"
"Our Sky Shadow Pavilion has gained a remarkable talent; with Wind Shadow’s current level, his combat strength should already rival that of the late-stage Heavenly Monarch Realm!"
Faces unfamiliar to Feng Wuchen praised him endlessly.
Even Zhuilang, who had previously clashed with Feng Wuchen, applauded him repeatedly and spoke courteously, "Wind Shadow, I regret my past actions towards you—please don’t hold a grudge."
"No problem," Feng Wuchen replied with a friendly smile.
Faced with continuous praise from gold-ranked and Heaven-grade assassins, Feng Wuchen found himself at a loss for words, responding with little more than an uneasy smile.
He understood clearly that their goodwill stemmed more from Tianming’s influence.
As a Heaven-grade assassin, Tianming owed his life to Feng Wuchen; naturally, the others would give Tianming due respect.
Within the Sky Shadow Pavilion, Feng Wuchen trusted few—aside from Ying Hun, Tian Kui, Tianming, Chasing Moon, and Bright Moon, he remained wary of the others.
Under unfamiliar circumstances, it was vital for Feng Wuchen to remain vigilant.
Of course, not every assassin harbored ulterior motives—there were certainly those who genuinely recognized Feng Wuchen’s valor.
"Wind Shadow, well done. Your strength has been witnessed by all; today, you’ve become a renowned gold-ranked assassin in Spirit Capital," Qing Liu praised, his face showing a faint smile.
"It’s what I should do," Feng Wuchen responded with a calm smile.
"According to the reports we’ve received, Emperor Ling has issued orders to hunt you down. The Moon God Palace has dispatched many Heavenly Monarch-level experts. Be extra cautious on future missions," Qing Liu advised considerately.
The orders from the Spirit Emperor Temple had just been issued, and the Sky Shadow Pavilion was already informed. Their intelligence network was exceedingly resourceful.
Feng Wuchen nodded and said, "I’ll be careful."
After the gathering dissolved, Feng Wuchen returned to his quarters, and the Sky Shadow Pavilion reverted to its usual quiet.
At this moment, Feng Wuchen was training within the Seventh Layer of space.
Having recently broken through to the Heavenly Monarch Realm, Feng Wuchen had yet to consolidate his cultivation; only after solidifying his realm could he unleash the full power of the Heavenly Monarch Realm.
...
Sky Shadow Pavilion Main Hall.
Tian Kui suddenly materialized within the hall.
"Set aside the search for the Heavenly Dao Life Chart for now; monitor Emperor Ling in secret—the life chart within the crystal stone, they’ll make efforts to find it," Ying Hun remarked calmly.
Tian Kui nodded slightly and said, "Today, within the Spirit Emperor Temple, I sensed an extremely powerful aura surpassing Emperor Ling’s strength. They could’ve stopped me and captured Wind Shadow, yet Emperor Ling held back."
"Surpassing Emperor Ling?" Ying Hun’s brows furrowed.
"The aura was unfamiliar yet eerie; I couldn’t guess who it might’ve been," Tian Kui replied.
"The Heavenly Sovereign has been dormant for years. This individual is loyal solely to the Sovereign and never acts without their command. It’s unlikely they’ve come to the Ling Realm—does this mean the Sovereign has awakened?" Ying Hun pondered, appearing to have deduced the identity.
"Does the Pavilion Master know who it is?" Tian Kui asked curiously.
Ying Hun nodded gravely and said, "The former envoy of Shengxian Village, who lost disastrously to the Dragon God Clan’s young master, was later saved by the Heavenly Sovereign. Since then, he has followed the Sovereign unwaveringly. His cultivation is likely at the late-stage Heavenly Emperor Realm, just below the Heavenly Sovereign—his strength surpasses that of the Eight Great Heavenly Emperors."
"Such immense power? The former envoy of Shengxian Village?" Tian Kui exclaimed, shocked. "Could it be the Master of Ghost Valley?"
"Precisely. A man with grand ambitions and schemes. Years ago, he attempted to usurp Shengxian Village’s Saint Lord but was discovered by the young master of the Dragon God Clan. Unfortunately, the Heavenly Sovereign rescued him; otherwise, he’d have perished long ago at the young master’s hands. Now, everything within the divine clans falls under his grasp," Ying Hun confirmed, his expression growing even graver.
"The Master of Ghost Valley is stronger than the Pavilion Master?" Tian Kui asked in astonishment.
"Likely so," Ying Hun nodded slightly, then muttered suspiciously, "Still, I cannot fathom why he has appeared in the Ling Realm. Could he have discovered Wind Shadow’s identity? It’s unlikely—apart from us, no one in the Heavenly Realm knows Wind Shadow’s identity."
"Perhaps it was merely happenstance," Tian Kui speculated.
"Let’s hope so," Ying Hun’s expression remained heavy, the unease lingering in his heart.
"Ying Hun, how have you been lately?" A venerable voice suddenly echoed through the hall.
"Master of Ghost Valley!" Ying Hun’s expression changed drastically.
