Dragon God Supreme -
Chapter 1172: Guigu’s Conjecture
Chapter 1172: Chapter 1172: Guigu’s Conjecture
"Mr. Guigu?"
The Tian Kui assassin’s heart quivered—it was as if speaking of the devil, and the devil appears.
Inside the grand hall, a white-haired elder in a black robe appeared silently and without warning.
The visitor was none other than Mr. Guigu.
Mr. Guigu had once been an envoy of Shengxian Village, holding an extraordinary status akin to the elders of Shengxian Village, a top-strength force that had shaken the Heavenly Realm.
Shengxian Village was a preeminent power in the Heavenly Realm, far surpassing the might of Tianying Pavilion.
Mr. Guigu’s cultivation was profoundly enigmatic, and despite seldom taking action in the Heavenly Realm, his last defeat came at the hands of the Dragon God Clan’s young master, after which he disappeared from sight.
The appearance of this person went unnoticed by everyone in Tianying Pavilion, save for Ying Hun and the Tian Kui assassin.
"So this is Mr. Guigu, the ultimate powerhouse who once rocked the Heavenly Realm in his day," the Tian Kui assassin thought silently to himself, "No wonder he once sought to usurp the position of Saint Lord, as the strongest Alchemist of Shengxian Village back then."
The instant Mr. Guigu appeared, the grand hall was promptly sealed within a powerful barrier. Immediately afterward, he dashed toward Ying Hun like a lightning bolt, delivering a thundering palm strike with immense momentum.
Ying Hun’s aged face turned grim, but he did not retreat, meeting the strike head-on with his own palm.
"Boom!"
"Buzz buzz!"
In a split second, the two exchanged ferocious blows. A deafening explosion reverberated through the hall, unleashing horrifying energy that caused violent tremors across the grand hall.
Fortunately, the strong barrier held firm; otherwise, the grand hall would certainly have been reduced to ash in the blink of an eye.
"The sheer physical force alone is terrifying!" The Tian Kui assassin’s heart trembled, overwhelmed by shock. Despite being a Tiandi Realm powerhouse, he was still forced back several meters.
The two had not even summoned their cultivated powers, merely clashing with raw physical strength—yet this was enough to repel a Tian Kui-level assassin, illustrating the sheer terror of their abilities.
"Mr. Guigu’s cultivation indeed seems to have reached the late stage of the Tiandi Realm!" The Tian Kui assassin thought in alarm, sweat pouring down his back.
Facing someone so formidable, even as a Tian Kui-level assassin, he was undoubtedly outmatched.
The ferocious strike ended in a deadlock between the two.
However, this exchange was merely a single clash; the fight concluded, seemingly as a simple probing attack.
"Mr. Guigu—or rather, you ought to be addressed as the Elder Grand of Shengxian Divine Hall. It’s been many years since we last met. I didn’t expect you to still remember me, nor did I expect your power to advance to such heights. Truly shocking," Ying Hun said with a calm smile, his old eyes briefly sweeping over Mr. Guigu.
As he spoke, Ying Hun gestured for Mr. Guigu to take a seat. With a flick of his hand, tea was poured across the air, and a cup of tea elegantly drifted toward Mr. Guigu.
Mr. Guigu was unmistakably Ying Hun’s longtime rival; they had clashed countless times, yet no clear winner had ever emerged between them.
"Shengxian Divine Hall?" The Tian Kui assassin’s heart jumped in shock, silently muttering, "So Mr. Guigu is also the Elder Grand of Shengxian Divine Hall. His status is truly terrifying."
Shengxian Divine Hall was part of the Tianzun Divine Palace, a hall created exclusively for Mr. Guigu.
Sipping a mouthful of tea, Mr. Guigu smiled faintly and said, "Elder Grand—such a title is far too grand for me."
Mr. Guigu cast a glance at the Tian Kui assassin and smiled faintly, "A Tian Kui-level assassin in Tianying Pavilion, able to sense my existence within Spirit Emperor Temple. Your skill is indeed exceptional, no wonder Emperor Ling is so wary of you."
"You flatter me, Mr. Guigu," the Tian Kui assassin answered politely.
"No need for modesty. Your abilities are well within my understanding," Mr. Guigu said calmly, his tone tinged not with sarcasm but with sincere praise.
Turning his gaze back to Ying Hun, Mr. Guigu added, "After all these years, your cultivation has also advanced greatly; it seems you’ve been diligently training."
Waving his hand dismissively, Ying Hun smiled calmly, "No matter how much I train, my cultivation will still be surpassed by the Elder Grand, won’t it?"
Mr. Guigu, being a mighty Alchemist, had far easier means to elevate his cultivation than Ying Hun—it was only natural for him to surpass Ying Hun.
After exchanging pleasantries, Ying Hun got straight to the point and asked with a faint smile, "May I inquire as to what brings the Elder Grand to Tianying Pavilion this time?"
Facing Mr. Guigu, Ying Hun displayed calm composure, without a hint of panic.
"I merely came to confirm something," Mr. Guigu replied with an unhurried smile, his gaze landing on Ying Hun.
"To confirm something?" Ying Hun looked startled for a moment before curiosity lit his face. "What might it be that requires the Elder Grand’s personal visit to Tianying Pavilion?"
To have drawn the attention of Shengxian Divine Hall’s Elder Grand was surely no trivial matter.
"Over the past few months, I’ve suddenly felt a familiar aura that troubles me deeply," Mr. Guigu said with a furrowed brow.
Ying Hun’s brow twitched as he pursued further, "And how does this relate to your purpose here in Tianying Pavilion, Mr. Guigu?"
"The issue lies with Wind Shadow," Mr. Guigu replied, his gaze locking onto Ying Hun.
"Wind Shadow!" Ying Hun’s heart jolted violently as he thought, "Does this old fox suspect Wind Shadow’s identity? This familiar aura—could it really be...? No, it’s impossible, simply based on aura alone!"
"When Wind Shadow and Tianming destroyed the Heavenly Spirit Stone mine, I had already begun to sense it. After observing in secret, it’s clear that this familiar aura emanates directly from him," Mr. Guigu said indifferently, though his piercing gaze sharpened.
"Mr. Guigu must be mistaken. Wind Shadow only joined Tianying Pavilion a few months ago. Because of his extraordinary talent, I took him under my wing," Ying Hun said with a subtle smile, careful to conceal the shock within.
"Do you know whose aura this is?" Mr. Guigu asked, disregarding Ying Hun’s remark entirely, for he didn’t believe a word of it.
"I’m rather curious as to which aura could leave the Elder Grand so unsettled," Ying Hun replied casually.
"It is the aura of the Dragon God Clan’s young master, the Dragon God Supreme," Mr. Guigu revealed as he stared at Ying Hun, seemingly seeking reactions in Ying Hun’s expression.
To Mr. Guigu’s disappointment, Ying Hun’s gaze betrayed no emotion.
"The aura of the Dragon God young master?" Ying Hun exclaimed in sudden astonishment, his face filled with disbelief, "That’s impossible! The Dragon God young master was slain by the Heavenly Sovereign back then. Out of respect, the Heavenly Sovereign spared Tianying Pavilion’s annihilation. How could it possibly be the Dragon God young master’s aura?"
"Mr. Guigu, your words could be interpreted as questioning the Heavenly Sovereign. Moreover, the Dragon God young master’s demise was confirmed by all the major powers in the Heavenly Realm," the Tian Kui assassin interjected.
Hearing this, Mr. Guigu’s brow furrowed deeply, his old eyes flashing darkly, though the dark emotions quickly dissipated.
"Could I have been mistaken?" Mr. Guigu wondered to himself, "Impossible! That familiar aura must belong to the Dragon God young master; otherwise, why would it unsettle me? Furthermore, Wind Shadow bears traces of the Dragon God Clan’s aura and possesses their physical traits, indicating he is one of the Dragon God Clan."
"That cunning old Ying Hun is clearly hiding something. Wind Shadow’s identity must be extraordinary. Today’s visit wasn’t in vain," Mr. Guigu thought darkly.
"I’ve disturbed you for too long—time for me to take my leave," Mr. Guigu said abruptly before departing.
Ying Hun furrowed his brows deeply, murmuring, "This old fox has begun to suspect Wind Shadow’s identity."
