Chapter 632: Chapter 603: Don’t Be Meddlesome

After the three of them finished signing, Cherish Turner collected the documents and stepped aside.

William Griffith spoke again, "Uncles, I believe the police will contact you soon. You don’t need to worry, nothing will go wrong, you can go home and rest now."

"Fine, we’ll leave, President Griffith." Old Lee and the others stood up one by one and left.

There were only a few people left in the conference hall. Cherish worriedly asked, "William, is President Peacock really okay?"

"Yannis, take this document to Old Graham and have him sign it, too! Be quick!" William Griffith took the document in his hand, signed his name while instructing with a serious tone.

Yannis Griffith acknowledged, understanding why he was doing this. If the letter was authorized more than two years ago, it would bear not only William Griffith’s signature but also the joint signatures of the four controlling shareholders. Yannis took the document from him and hurried away.

Now there were only William Griffith and Cherish Turner left in the room.

Cherish had just followed Hailey Griffith’s instructions and printed the agreement as quickly as possible. If Daniel Peacock had really secretly embezzled funds, this document would be extremely helpful. Having seen the three shareholders sign successfully, she finally let out a sigh of relief. She turned to look at him, finding that his handsome face was even paler than when he was at the police station.

William Griffith closed his eyes, waiting quietly for their return, his brow involuntary furrowed.

Cherish saw that he didn’t seem too well and left quietly.

William sat in the big chair, motionless. Suddenly, a fragrance drifted over, and he opened his eyes. In front of him was placed a cup of rich coffee, released from her slender white hands. Gazing at the rising steam, he heard her soft, feminine voice, "Have a cup of coffee."

William remained silent, as if he hadn’t heard her, letting the cup of coffee cool without taking a single sip.

As Cherish Turner stood by his side, she saw the coffee had stopped steaming. She quietly approached to pick it up, "I’ll get you a fresh one."

As she picked up the cup and was about to leave, William stopped her, his large hand holding her hand and the cup. Startled by his touch, Cherish recoiled, feeling the scalding heat. He didn’t hold on forcefully, just took up the cooled coffee and drank a sip as if nothing had happened.

As the cold liquid flowed into his body, a feeling of discomfort welled in William’s stomach, making him cough out softly.

"Cough, cough--" His cough startled her again.

Cherish looked down at him to find him sweating from the forehead. Remembering the temperature of his palm earlier, she furrowed her brow and said, "Do you have a fever?"

William Griffith glanced at her and coldly replied, "Don’t be nosy."

Unable to resist her concern, Cherish boldly reached out to grasp his hand, which was hot to the touch. She placed her small hand on his forehead, which was cold. Knowing something was wrong, she urgently said, "You are sick! Did you see a doctor? Did you take any medicine? Let me take you to the hospital, okay?"

"I said stop being nosy! Can’t you understand?" William Griffith shouted harshly, suddenly turning to look at her. Heaven knows he had spent the night waiting outside the building in the rain, and he didn’t want to see her again, or stay with her. He turned away and arrogantly said, "As long as you don’t appear in front of me, I’ll be fine!"
