"Clang—" The door of the conference room was pushed open, and Yannis Griffith returned.

"Big brother! Uncle Graham has already signed!" Yannis Griffith put the file in front of William Griffith, "What should we do now?"

William Griffith spat out a word, "Wait!"

The others continued to wait in the conference room, but Cherish Turner quietly left in the meantime.

Not long after, the police returned to Griffith Group, "Mr. William Griffith, Mr. Yannis Griffith, please come back to the police station with us and assist in our investigation. Thank you for your cooperation."

An hour after Daniel Peacock was taken away, the police came back to Griffith Group once more and took several other top executives with them, including the heads of newly-developed divisions in various departments. Abigail Johnson followed the crowd, unable to figure out why Daniel Peacock was the one arrested, even though she had given William Griffith’s account number.

"Abigail Johnson, you’re ruthless." Daniel Peacock’s words baffled her even more. What was going on?

Could it be that someone had got hold of the evidence? So, the Johnson Family was going down?

Just as the group was about to leave the building, Cherish Turner came face to face with them. She stopped in her tracks, and the police officer came forward and said, "Miss Cherish Turner, right? Please come to the police station with us! Thank you for your cooperation!"

Several police cars arrived, William Griffith got in one of them, and Cherish Turner voluntarily sat in the same car with him.

As the convoy slowly started driving, Cherish Turner took out the fever reducer box from her pocket and silently handed it to him.

William Griffith initially ignored her actions, but she kept her hand in mid-air, not withdrawing it. After some time, he got more and more irritated, finally snatching the fever reducer box from her hand, simultaneously lowering the car window and, without thinking, throwing it out the window.

However, the result was that the Griffith Group’s internal board of directors had authorized Daniel Peacock to use company funds for all investments more than two years ago. Moreover, several directors knew which projects they had invested in, including the purchase of a series of real estates. Initially, the police intended to charge Daniel Peacock with embezzlement of huge Griffith Group funds, but now the case investigation was at a standstill.

"Officer Green, I think they must have all colluded with each other. I don’t know what they’re up to!" A police officer said angrily.

Aaron Green sat quietly in the office, staring intently, "What’s happening with Seashore Corporation in Canada?"

"Someone suddenly wants to invest in Seashore Corporation. Thanks to this investment, Seashore has announced that they will not go bankrupt and has resumed normal operations! How could it be such a coincidence?" The police officer muttered, but it was obvious that the evidence was all pointing in one direction.

Aaron Green’s eyebrows furrowed, as if he was waiting for something.

Suddenly, another police officer knocked on the door and entered, holding a document, "Officer Green, we’ve found it!"

Aaron Green took the document and looked at it. The police officer laughed and said, "Daniel Peacock’s personal account at Citibank in the United States, the money was remitted in the name of Seashore Corporation, and at the same time, an equal amount of money vanished from Seashore. I’ve just checked Seashore’s loss statement with Officer Dee, during that period, Daniel Peacock, as the manager of the overseas division, had abnormal transaction records with Seashore."

"And the funniest thing is, the whistleblower who accused William Griffith of wrongdoing is called Tiffany Rivers. We just questioned her and she suddenly changed her testimony, pointing the finger at Daniel Peacock! "The evidence from Griffith Group is not sufficient to convict. However, now there is a threatened witness, plus the evidence from Seashore Corporation, I think sentencing him to seven or eight years in prison is unavoidable, right?" Both officers carried on, clearly already experienced in dealing with such matters.

Aaron Green handed the document back to the officers and slowly said, "Make a copy of the evidence and submit it to the Department of Justice!"
