Chapter 624: Chapter 600: Do You Know How Much I Love You_2

Cherish Turner turned her head to look at William Griffith, who had already approached the Maserati and opened the door, looking back at her. Cherish had no choice but to walk over to him and get in the car. Once he got in, someone’s phone rang again, breaking the silence with an incessant vibration.

"It’s your phone!" Cherish whispered a reminder.

William pulled out his phone, hung up again, and added the number to the blacklist. He then glanced at Cherish, slowly moving closer to her. She was startled, and her body tensed up. He only reached over to fasten her seatbelt, securing it for her, "The first thing to do when getting in a car is to buckle up. Remember that, okay?"

"Mm," Cherish nodded, her heartbeat accelerating for a moment.

The car’s engine started, and the two vehicles drove out of the parking lot one after the other.

On the Griffith Company’s insurance development floor, a woman held her phone in the manager’s office, her beautiful face darkened, "I’m sorry, the user you are dialling is out of the service area."

Listening to the automated female voice on the other end, Abigail Johnson narrowed her eyes angrily, "William Griffith, you’re really going too far!"

Abigail immediately left her office and headed for the overseas department.

As someone entered with a knock, Daniel Peacock didn’t look up right away. Abigail approached his desk, picked up a piece of paper, and furiously wrote down an account number. Holding the piece of paper, she said softly, "This is his private account with Citibank in the United States. I’m giving it to you."

After Cherish was taken to the Griffith residence by William, she was chauffeured to and from work by Yannis Griffith.

William strongly objected at first, but Yannis insisted. He secretly thought that once the situation was resolved, he would return to France to enjoy himself and didn’t want to stay and take over. So, for now, he was paving the way for himself. Meanwhile, Cherish had made a deal with Yannis, and wanting to help him, she resolutely continued to be Yannis’s secretary.

Close to lunch break, Cherish received an internal phone call through an extension.

Abigail Johnson invited her to meet at a nearby coffee shop at noon.

On the phone, she told her that if she didn’t show up, she would regret it, because it involved William. Cherish initially didn’t want to go, but since it concerned him, she knew she shouldn’t go alone but couldn’t resist. Plus, they were only meeting at a coffee shop – such a public place should be relatively safe.

Noticing it was almost time, Cherish left a note and left on her own, afraid she’d be dragged into having lunch with Yannis and Cherish. She slowly left the building but didn’t notice that someone had spotted her from the other end of the building.

Inside the brightly lit and transparent coffee shop, Abigail had arrived early. She ordered a cup of coffee and patiently waited.

Cherish walked upstairs, scanned the surroundings, and headed towards Abigail’s location.

Sitting down on the sofa across from her, Abigail didn’t say anything, but her movements were so fast that they caught Cherish off guard. Abigail picked up her half-cooled cup of coffee and splashed it directly onto Cherish. The dark brown coffee, with its warmth, soaked Cherish entirely, staining her face and dripping down.

Surprised gasps echoed around them as customers stared.

"Cherish Turner, this is my payback to you!" Abigail coldly said after putting down the cup, "Do you know? I’ve always hated you!"

Cherish didn’t care about the gazes cast on her but calmly wiped her face with a tissue, "Manager Johnson, if you asked me here today just to say this, then I’ll be leaving."

"What’s the rush? I haven’t finished speaking," Abigail laughed, propping her chin with both hands, "If I have evidence that could help him, would you still be interested in hearing it?"

Cherish looked up at her, and Abigail raised the corner of her lips, leisurely saying, "As long as you kneel down and beg now, I’ll tell you! I guarantee he won’t have any problems! What do you think? Will you kneel or not?"

The two faced off, and just as Cherish was about to speak, a tall figure suddenly appeared beside her.

The man’s cold voice made hearts tremble, and he inexplicably said, "Do you like South Africa?"

Abigail was taken aback, not understanding the meaning behind his words. But she was frightened by the cold light in his eyes, and a chill gripped her, making her inexplicably panic.

William grabbed Cherish’s wrist and led her downstairs.

Just as they stepped out of the coffee shop, he turned around to question her angrily, but seeing her stubbornly biting her lip and her hair stained with coffee, looking all disheveled, he wanted to lash out but couldn’t bear to. All that remained was infinite pity, but he couldn’t act on it. Gritting his teeth, he growled, "You’re driving me crazy!"
