Chapter 625: Chapter 600: Do You Know How Much I Love You_3

"When I was detained, I didn’t want to see you again! But you insisted on going to Spring Town to find help! I told you not to bother with me, not to care about me anymore! But you wouldn’t listen! I warned you, no more, why didn’t you listen? Why don’t you ever listen to me! You want me to worry myself to death? You want me to worry sick?" William Griffith muttered the words buried in his heart but still couldn’t find any release.

He gripped her wrist tightly, not wanting to let go, but unable to hold on.

He knew he had no right anymore. When she was already married and living a peaceful, happy life, what right did he have to disturb her tranquility? But why did she repeatedly appear, even if they didn’t meet, his dreams were filled with her. As soon as he closed his eyes, her figure, her smile, her voice...all like a nightmare, impossible to dispel.

William couldn’t help but fix his gaze, at the bottom of his eyes was lingering pain and helplessness.

Suddenly realizing he had nowhere to escape, his heart only beat vigorously for her. He instinctively drew closer to her, wanting to see her, every single minute and second, every moment, even for a lifetime.

"I’m going crazy because of you! Do you know that, Cherish Turner!" William murmured softly, the force on her wrist did not loosen, and he questioned with resentment.

Cherish listened quietly, his words were like sharp arrows, shooting towards her, piercing her heart.

She took two and a half years to heal, thinking time could change everything.

Let go of that relationship, put down that memory, truly become the past. There’s nothing that couldn’t be left behind.

Yet the struggle and tearing in her heart prevented her from fully healing.

Seeing him doing well, seeing him still suave and composed, she was happy and lonely, but she could also walk away with no regrets.

But she couldn’t ignore him doing badly, she couldn’t pretend to be indifferent, even knowing they wouldn’t be together, even knowing there was no possibility. She just wanted to help him in whatever way she could when he was at his lowest point. Even if all she could do was stand by his side and silently support, she was willing.

"Don’t be so good to me, don’t care about me, don’t sacrifice anything for me, not even a little!" William coldly warned, slowly letting go of her hand.

Cherish saw the frenzy in his handsome face dissipate, she moved her lips, silently for a while before whispered, "Not anymore, except for this time."

William’s angry face suddenly quietened, pulling up the corners of his mouth and mockingly said, "Fine, you said it yourself."

"Yeah." Cherish stared at his suit buttons, her gaze somewhat blurred.

William grabbed her hand again and strode forward. He helped her get a car and then escorted her to a nearby beauty salon. Cherish was led away by the stylist to wash her hair. When she came out with her hair washed, she saw Hailey Griffith waiting in the main lounge, but he had already disappeared, whereabouts unknown.

"Your clothes are dirty too. I’ll go shopping with you for a new outfit later." Hailey had already inquired about some of the situation from William, who had urgently called her. She turned her head to see something interesting, she couldn’t help but say, "Cherish, what’s that on your neck? Wow, this ring is so beautiful."

Cherish nodded, the buzzing of the hairdryer filled her ears.

A stylist was drying her hair, Cherish looked at her reflection in the mirror and saw clearly the plain ring she was wearing around her neck. Before leaving years ago, the ring was a gift from William Griffith, she wanted to take it off after she left, but couldn’t manage to remove it. Finally, she took it off but couldn’t bear to part with it and threaded it onto a chain to wear around her neck. Over the years abroad, every time she saw this plain ring, she would think of her past with William. She originally thought that after experiencing all this, they would eventually have a bright future, but it seemed always contrary to their wishes. At this moment, he clearly told her, "From now on, don’t be good to me anymore, not even a little bit."

It wasn’t that her heart didn’t ache, but there were too many misunderstandings, and she didn’t know how to explain. Some things, after the passage of time, could no longer be clarified.

So, this ring became the most awkward existence.

So, hide it!

Only when it’s out of sight would she forget, forget the pain she didn’t want to remember, and the love.
