Chapter 589: Chapter 584: Returning to the Country
The Thames River is most beautiful at dusk. After leaving the cafe, William Griffith remained silent for a while before finally asking, "Didn’t you get married? Why aren’t you wearing a ring?"
"Well, I bought one, but I don’t like wearing it. I’m afraid of losing it." Cherish Turner replied with a shy smile.
William Griffith said nothing and then added, "You don’t need to accompany me tomorrow. I’m taking a flight back to Haise tonight. Get off work and go home."
Cherish Turner stared at him before finally nodding, "Goodbye."
"Goodbye."
Neither of them knew who had turned around first, but they walked away from each other, heading towards the bustling streets in front of them.
The tall figure of the man disappeared into the crowd.
The plane crossed twelve time zones and flew for twelve hours, just to say——goodbye.
While lost in her thoughts, Cherish Turner received a call from Liam, reminding her not to forget to attend Mr. Tanigawa and Fujita’s wedding.
Cherish Turner laughed and replied, "How could I forget the wedding of your little brother and my little sister?"

In October, the weather gradually turned cold.
In this season approaching winter, the last batch of white orchids bloomed, their flowers either a clear white or slightly yellow. Blooming continuously from June to October, the fragrance filled the air, but it was not as strong as the summer flowers. The blue sky was filled with large patches of white clouds, just like the blooming white orchids.
"Miss, the plane will be landing soon. If there’s turbulence, please don’t be afraid." The beautiful flight attendant reminded her with a smile, checking to see if her seatbelt was fastened.
Cherish Turner responded with a smile and a nod.
As the plane landed at Haise International Airport, Cherish Turner felt a sharp pain in her eardrum. She chewed gum to relieve the discomfort. The passengers disembarked one by one, and Cherish Turner followed the crowd with her bag. As she stepped off the plane, she finally felt that she was truly home.
Cherish Turner walked out of the long air corridor.
Picking up her luggage at the exit, she found herself back with the same small suitcase that she had left with years ago. As she breathed in the air of Haise, she realized how time had flown, and yet also seemed to have crawled by. Suddenly, it had been so long since she had left.
Standing at the exit of the corridor, Cherish saw a beautiful woman standing there, looking around.
She spotted her first and slowly approached her, dragging her wheeled suitcase. When she finally stood beside the woman, she was caught off guard and, after a moment of surprise, excitedly hugged Cherish. Elijah Butler was still as beautiful as ever, and as she embraced Cherish Turner, she exclaimed, "What happened to you? Why did you cut your hair? I almost didn’t recognize you!"
Cherish Turner hugged her back, smiling, "Does it not look good?"
"It looks great! Who said it doesn’t?" Elijah Butler released her and stared at her tranquil, attractive face, exclaiming, "You finally got smart and took off those black-framed glasses. These new ones are much more fashionable, and the pale purple color is very trendy this year."
Elijah Butler looked her up and down, and seeing that Cherish appeared lively and spirited, she felt at ease.
Together, the two first went to the cemetery to pay their respects to Anthony Turner. A year earlier, he had passed away in his sleep. The doctor said it was a cerebral hemorrhage, but it was said that Anthony had died peacefully.
As for Chloe Turner, she hadn’t dealt with the funeral, and no one knew where she had gone. It was only later that Cherish found out that Lady Lottie, Mr. Tanigawa’s mother, had organized the funeral. It was also later that she discovered that, though they had no blood relation, Lady Lottie was her own mother.
