The phone on the table vibrated again, spinning on the surface. When she returned, she busied herself packing up her things and didn’t look at her phone. Picking up her bag and walking out of the office with her colleagues, she finally glanced at her phone.

There was a message!

When she clicked on it, the screen displayed a series of numbers, not a stored contact name.

Cherish Turner knew who owned this number and couldn’t help but feel a little excited.

After pressing the read button, the message had just a few short words - I’m downstairs in the company building.

He was downstairs? It had been 15 minutes, hadn’t it? Cherish was startled and hurriedly took the elevator downstairs. As soon as she stepped out of the elevator and quickly scanned the lobby, she couldn’t find his figure. Puzzled, she rushed out of the building, only to see a black Maserati parked by the roadside in front of the building.

It was the peak hour, and the commuting pedestrians cast curious glances at him. Smoking, he said discontentedly, "What took you so long?"

Meanwhile, at the end of the road, a silver-gray Porsche slowly approached.

Yannis Griffith was about to take out his phone and dial when he looked up and saw the Maserati parked ahead. The license plate was so familiar that he stopped dialing in an instant. He watched her get stuffed into the car by him, watched him sit in the car, and watched the car with the two of them drive away.

"Yes!" She was like a soldier whose name was called by the squad leader. Her voice was resolute and strong as she began to give directions: "Keep driving straight ahead on this road until the end. Then turn left at the intersection ahead, go through three traffic lights, and turn right. There’s convenient parking there!"

William listened to her words, unconsciously frowning and suddenly asked, "Do you go there often?"

How else could she be so familiar with the place?

Cherish silently counted the number of times she had been there and honestly nodded, "It’s fine."

Sometimes she would go there to buy things, but she went more often to another convenience store.

William Griffith stopped talking, and his pursed lips revealed faint displeasure.

They were silent all the way, and he didn’t speak again.

Cherish glanced at him from time to time, looking at his tall and straight nose, which was like a finely crafted work of art. Asians’ noses were rarely so straight and attractive. This guy really was God’s favorite. At this moment, his slightly furrowed brows let her perceive that he seemed a little unhappy.

Finally, the car stopped, and the two of them got out.

William Griffith’s gaze swept the surroundings, searching for the Japanese restaurant nearby. But where was the restaurant? The empty parking lot offered no glimpse of a restaurant! Just as he was puzzled, Cherish’s small figure walked around the car and stood in front of him, smiling and saying, "Let’s go."
