Chapter 524: Chapter 523: I Don’t Want To
"I... I’ll go with you," Cherish Turner whispered softly, unable to walk alone anymore. He didn’t object and held her hand as they walked. Along the way, her body almost clung to him, one step at a time. Cherish did not see the soaring smile at the corner of his mouth.
After wandering around the ancient castle for an hour, the two finally found their way out.
In the bright world outside, Cherish Turner felt like she was reborn. Turning her head to look at him, he smiled gently at her. A ripple of emotion stirred in her heart, not knowing quite what it was, and she changed the topic, "I want to eat ice cream."
"Then let’s eat it." William Griffith said in a deep voice, leading her by the hand to the ice cream cart.
Cherish bought a milk-flavored ice cream and held it with both hands, licking it slowly as if reluctant to eat it. The afternoon sun shone down, casting a golden glow on her face. Her soft pink lips were smeared with a layer of white milk stains, like a mischievous little kitten.
"How are you eating this," William chastised, before suddenly lowering his head, and kissing the corner of her lips. His skillful tongue darted out, licking the ice cream from the corner of her mouth.
Cherish froze, her big innocent eyes wide open.
William looked at her with a gentle and charming smile, saying softly, "So sweet."
So sweet... It was unclear whether he was referring to the ice cream or something else.
Her face flushed, she lowered her head and continued eating her ice cream.
Underneath a beautiful azure sky, they fed doves in the open plaza, bought enough stir-fried noodles, hot dog buns, and delicious juice for two, and had a picnic on the grass. They experienced wild pirate ship rides, the laughter of the merry-go-round, the thrilling water rapids ride, the excitement of a space flight, and the magic of the 4D theater... They wandered through the entire amusement park.
The night show at the water palace, surrounded by bright lights.
The pitch-black skylight suddenly lit up with fireworks, captivatingly beautiful as if from a fantasy world.
"So beautiful..." Cherish Turner stared at the spectacular night sky, exclaiming with surprise.
William was standing beside her, gazing at her from the corner of his eye. His expression seemed like shimmering colored glass, reflecting the glow of the fireworks.
"Cherish," he suddenly called out.
"Huh?" As she glanced back at him with uncertainty, he grasped her head, leaned down slightly, bent over towards her. His warm tongue entered her mouth and deeply kissed her sweetness. Hooking onto her tongue, a bout of entanglement stirred. Under the sky dazzling with fireworks, his handsome face seemed somewhat hazy, and she found herself completely unresponsive.
She couldn’t help but close her eyes.
"Come back to me," he whispered, his eyes shining brilliantly as he stared deeply into hers.
What? What had he said?
The dazzling light from the dissipated fireworks fell into her eyes, blooming radiantly. Her astonished and fair face looked exceptionally adorable. Her slightly parted lips, which he had just kissed, were so tempting they seemed to be waiting for his wanton tasting once again. He slowly lifted the corner of his lips, his gaze bright.
For a while, Cherish couldn’t regain her senses and couldn’t react.
"Cherish." It wasn’t until his deep voice called out again, that she heard – Cherish, Cherish.
Cherish slowly regained consciousness, his handsome face looking villainous under the sky lit up with fireworks. Instinctively, she furrowed her eyebrows, then bit her lips. This subtle movement was caught by his alert eyes. Whenever she was annoyed, troubled, flustered, or at a loss, such a small movement would appear.
"I don’t want to," her voice trembled slightly, but her refusal was firm.
