Chapter 511: Chapter 510: The Rose Knight

That day, Cherish returned home carrying a large bouquet of roses.

She smelled the fragrant roses and her mood instantly improved.

Actually, in all her life, she had never received roses from anyone. In high school, some students had early relationships and would send roses on Valentine’s Day. Once in college, relationships were no longer forbidden, and it became commonplace. However, she was focused on her studies and had no time for these things, even if she felt a bit lonely on Valentine’s Day.

She never imagined that she would receive her first bouquet of roses today.

Although, they were just a gesture for their first meeting.

Still, Cherish was very happy.

As the elevator reached the top floor, she carried the bouquet to her loft to put her things away. But just as she walked up the stairs, the door to an apartment opened. A tall figure leaned against the door, watching the small figure ascend the stairs. His gaze fixed on the bouquet of roses, his eyes tightened, and his handsome face suddenly darkened.

The next day, the investment banking department’s office was flooded with roses. Upon entering the office, one was greeted with the sight of roses everywhere and the scent of roses overwhelmed the senses. It made people mistakenly think that this was not an office, but a rose shop.

All these roses were for one person.

"Assistant Turner, your rose knight is so generous! How much did this cost?"

"What’s the point of showing off like this, afraid people won’t know?"

Some people teased, while others ridiculed.

Cherish was at a loss, feeling a headache coming on. She hesitated to take out her phone to call Yannis, asking if he had sent them. At that moment, an office phone rang with a "beep" sound. The number displayed was an internal company number. Cherish answered the call, and a deep, magnetic male voice entered her ears, unexpectedly asking, "How is it?"

"What?" William Griffith? Was he actually using the company phone to call her?

"The flowers." He uttered a single word.

Cherish then realized that all these flowers were from him. She gripped the receiver and clenched her teeth, breathed deeply, and calmly said, "I hate roses the most."

With a slam, she hung up the phone!

At the same time, a certain man sat in his top-floor office, revealing a faint smile. He suddenly raised his hand and smashed the phone to pieces!

The weather was warm and sunny, perfect for afternoon tea. The elder Griffiths were out in the front garden enjoying tea with several other ladies. A tall figure approached, his cold, handsome face like a lingering fog.

William Griffith stopped and nodded slightly to the others, as a greeting.

As he walked away, the ladies joked with each other, "Is this Young Master Griffith? We haven’t seen him in years, and he’s become even more handsome. By the way, I have a cousin, she’s twenty, from a good family background and very pretty. Most importantly, she has a gentle personality, perfect to be a wife."

"I also have someone in mind..."

May Campbell just smiled and did not say much.

Within the luxurious villa, the butler respectfully informed, "Young Master Griffith, the master is in the study."

William Griffith walked upstairs silently, heading for the study.

In the study, Robert Griffith was practicing calligraphy with a pipe in his mouth. He wore an ash-gray shirt, a plaid waistcoat, and had his sleeves rolled up. He was energetically writing on a sheet of rice paper. Hearing the knock, he did not look up but said in a deep voice, "Come in."

William Griffith pushed the door and entered, remaining silent for a while before finally speaking, "You wanted me to come back. What’s the matter?"
