Chapter 489 - 490: Find Him

Chapter 489: Chapter 490: Find Him

Cherish Turner briskly walked out of the business building, clueless about how to find him. After some thought, she dialed Yannis Griffith, "Senior Yannis, do you have his contact information? Or could you tell me if he’s in Haicheng?"

Upon receiving her call, Yannis Griffith was obviously startled before finally responding, "Cherish, are you looking for him because you need something?"

"I do." Cherish Turner affirmed resolutely.

Then Yannis Griffith informed her that today was the ribbon-cutting day for the Harbour Resort in the Bay Area. As the project manager, William Griffith was fully representing the Griffiths’ attendance and would be there. Cherish Turner didn’t say a word more and immediately rushed to the Bay Area, yet a chill ran down her spine.

Thirty percent of the shares, he was indeed generous.

But what exactly did this mean? Was it his separation fee?

At the Bay Area resort, there was already a sea of people.

Reporters and media were crowding around in innumerable swarms. Flags fluttered in the wind, firecrackers filled the ear, and a red carpet paved the way. But Cherish Turner, without an invitation, was stopped outside. She had no choice but to endure the baking sun and wait outside the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The faint voice of the host was heard in the air, but it felt like she was the only person in the whole world.

Cherish Turner didn’t know how long she had been waiting. Suddenly, as the crowd surged out, she was squeezed aside.

"President Griffith! We heard that you are planning to leave the Griffiths and develop your business in the United States, is that true?"

"President Griffith, please wait!"

"President Griffith, please say a few words?"

Reporters were jostling against each other but were stopped by the tall security guards who did not allow them to get close.

The flashlights kept flashing, causing the man’s eyes to sparkle.

The man calmly emerged from the crowd, surrounded by a circle of onlookers. A warm breeze gently brushed past him, causing a strand of his black fringe to fall onto his forehead. His eagle eyes were brilliant, and his dense black hair stuck to his devilishly handsome face. He looked cold and wicked, his gaze unwavering, staring straight ahead, his lips slightly pursed, without any response.

Cherish Turner kept looking around from the back of the crowd, thinking about how she could get close to him.

He was only a few hundred meters away from her, but why did it feel so far away?

The security guards stood in a straight line one by one, completely stopping the reporters from following.

Cherish Turner had been here before for a survey, so she was very familiar with the layout. With a sudden idea, she turned her back on the crowd and chose a different route that was a much longer detour. Taking advantage of the fact that the attention of the security guards and staff was all concentrated on the reporters, she rushed out from a small road and ran towards William Griffith who was walking towards his car.

"Ah..." Cherish Turner was about to shout when she abruptly changed her tone, "Mr. Griffith! Please wait a moment!"

"Who’s that over there? Stop her!"

"Yes!"

The sudden appearance of the girl caught the staff off guard, and immediately someone came forward to grab Cherish Turner’s arm in an attempt to forcefully remove her.

"Mr. Griffith! President Griffith! William Griffith!" Cherish Turner was calling out to his back in a hoarse voice, finally stopping him in his tracks.

At the sound of the familiar woman’s voice in the wind, William Griffith slowed his steps and finally turned to look at her.

The sun was glaring, and Cherish Turner’s bag had fallen to the ground amidst the struggle. She appeared so disheveled, with her arms being held by the staff. She hadn’t had breakfast and had waited for a long time, and her stomach was empty and so was her mind. And he was so radiant in front of her that it made her feel dizzy for a moment.

William Griffith stared at her, took a few steps forward, and ordered in a deep voice, "Let her go."

"Yes!" The staff immediately let go and retreated to the side.

In the vast area, only the two of them were left, a meter apart.
