Domineering Love
Chapter 471 - 472: You Have to Take Responsibility

Chapter 471: Chapter 472: You Have to Take Responsibility

The ceremony officially began, first with the Griffith Company, and then with the Demon Manga Club, signing agreements separately. Amidst the warm applause, the three parties reached a consensus. As Cherish Turner joined the applause, she never expected that the end of this project would also be the end between them.

After signing the agreements, Mr.Chip invited William Griffith and Chief Editor Sally to chat for a while.

The sun was scorching, and several people strolled slowly along the harbor. Cherish followed them quietly, listening to their conversation. Occasionally, she would hear his deep, brief sentences, drifting in the wind.

"Go to the trunk and get a few umbrellas, it’s too hot," Chief Editor Sally suddenly slowed down and told Cherish, who was by her side.

Cherish nodded knowingly, slowing down and quietly turning back to the parked vehicle nearby. As expected, there were a few umbrellas in a cardboard box in the trunk, which she immediately picked up and tucked under her arm, before turning to head back. However, halfway there, she bumped into two people - William Griffith and Thomas Harrison - who were walking towards her, their tall figures towering.

As they approached step by step, Cherish stepped aside to let them pass.

William said something, and Thomas suddenly sped up, walking ahead. William, however, still maintained his steady pace, eventually approaching her. He suddenly stopped, not moving forward. Unconsciously, Cherish tightened her grip on the umbrellas in her arms and politely called out, "President Griffith."

William fixed his gaze on her profile, his voice low and husky, "I received the ring you sent."

"Mmm—" she drawled, not saying anything else.

"Is this your decision?"

Cherish hesitated for a moment, then nodded. This wasn’t her decision, but wasn’t it what he wanted her to do?

Otherwise, how could the sanitary napkins vanish suddenly?

William’s eyes were fixed on Cherish, as if trying to see through her.

In the end, it was Cherish who felt embarrassed, turning her face away. Still, he continued to look at her.

A few people around them seemed to notice something unusual between the two and discreetly touched their noses, finding excuses to leave.

"Cherish, I’m asking you a question."

But what was she supposed to say? The words she wanted to say were stuck in her throat, and she couldn’t speak.

William’s eyebrows knitted together, seemingly displeased.

But what was there for him to be unhappy about? She had been so good, not causing him trouble, and leaving on her own. What more did he want?

"Why didn’t you tell me about Lewis?"

"I called you, but you didn’t pick up."

"But you didn’t tell me in person. After calling once, you could have called again, and kept calling until I knew."

So that’s how it could have been done. But William, do you know that in front of you, I always feel uncertain and inferior? So sometimes, making one more call feels like it might push you away. Now that things have turned out like this, couldn’t you have considered the possibility that it wasn’t me who took the sanitary napkins?

Cherish lowered her head, not saying a word.

"Lewis’s condition is a bit serious."

"What?" Wasn’t he already better? She had just sent him home!

"Since you didn’t tell me anything, don’t you think you should be responsible? I only found out about it when I got home and was scolded by my grandma."

" ..." How was this her fault? Cherish was frustrated.

"Since you sent him to the hospital, you have to make sure he’s safe and sound during this time. The issue between us can be discussed later. As for Lewis, you have to take responsibility."
