Mr. Chip naturally didn’t recall such a small figure as Cherish Turner.

Several luxury cars were waiting outside the hotel. Mr. Chip got into one of them, William Griffith and Chief Editor Sally also got into the cars.

Among the crowd of people hailing cabs by the roadside, Cherish Turner was aimlessly looking forward.

The SUV drove past the hotel, its black windows making it impossible to see the figures inside.

In the dim night, the SUV finally crossed the traffic lights, absorbed in the sea of lights.

Cherish Turner didn’t know where she should go. Going back to Cherry Blossom Garden, she was afraid her mother would worry about her. Yet, if she were to go to the Deep Wave Mansion, she didn’t even know what kind of feelings she should carry there.

How ridiculous it was to go to his territory when she clearly wasn’t his woman.

It was very ridiculous indeed.

But she had living essentials at the Deep Wave Mansion. With this in mind, she had to collect them. Cherish took a taxi, like a wandering soul, and returned to the Deep Wave Mansion.

She drank three cups of ice water in a row. Yet the burning sensation didn’t subside, instead, it became even worse. She abruptly sat down on the sofa, noticing the ring at her fingertips, and suddenly it seemed so ironic.

"President Griffith is in his office." the secretary replied.

In the spacious office, William Griffith was reviewing documents, rolling up his sleeves casually, his black hair covering his eyes. His gaze shifted from the documents to the visitor, and then lowered his head again and asked, "What is it?"

"I just came from a hospital check-up, everything looks good, I was wondering if you were free to have lunch together?" Chloe asked, quietly seating herself on the sofa without disturbing his work.

William Griffith maintained his focus on the paperwork, replying nonchalantly, "As you wish."

"William, why is your phone always off?" Chloe picked up a magazine and began flipping through it, asking curiously.
