In the street-side cafe, Chloe Turner was sitting inside waiting for the arrival of William Griffith. A book and a pencil case were on the table, and she ordered a coffee to wait quietly.

As expected, William Griffith arrived shortly.

Chloe Turner immediately called the waiter and ordered a coffee for him.

As soon as he sat down, Chloe Turner said with a smile, "William, where shall we eat later? I checked and there’s a Hu Cuisine restaurant nearby. How about we try it?"

William Griffith nodded, having no particular opinion about food. Chloe Turner continued talking about the interesting things the professor had explained in class. William Griffith looked at her increasingly lively face, calm and undisturbed. She had been weak earlier, but in recent days, she had recovered a lot and her face was gradually becoming rosy.

"Don’t you need to accompany Cherish?" Chloe suddenly asked, looking down and holding her cup of coffee with both hands.

William Griffith fell silent for a while before he replied softly, "She’s well-behaved."

Chloe Turner was stunned, her index finger tapping the cup handle.

It turned out he trusted her.

William Griffith’s gaze casually swept towards the window, but when he saw a familiar figure, his eyes tightened. Across the street, a petite woman rounded a car and got in.

William Griffith watched the car drive away before suddenly frowning and pulling out a cigarette.

"Sir, smoking is not allowed here," the waiter politely informed him.

"What’s wrong?" Chloe asked with confusion.

"It’s nothing," William Griffith said, but his heart skipped a beat.

That woman, wasn’t she his Cherish? Where was she going in such a hurry?
