Domineering Love
Chapter 395 - 395 396 Jealousy

Chapter 395: Chapter 396: Jealousy Chapter 395: Chapter 396: Jealousy Not far away, Hailey and Edward Smith joined the group of four, exchanging greetings and laughing as they waited to enter the theater.

Hailey stood before the company’s production photos, smiling as she told the story, “Do you know the story of Swan Lake?” Seeing the others shake their heads, she cleared her throat and explained, “Let me tell you then. One day, a supreme queen told her son, Prince Ziegfried, that she would choose a girl to be his fiancée and invite her to their festival the following day…”

As Hailey calmly narrated the beautiful fairy tale, Edward seemed to have little interest in the ballet, evidently only there to keep his partner company. Yannis glanced over, only to see Cherish Turner intently watching Hailey, listening quietly.

“At that moment, the swans suddenly transformed into a group of girls, and the most beautiful girl revealed their mysterious and unfortunate fate to the prince…”

Handsome men and beautiful women would naturally attract attention.

As the audience began to enter the theater, they went in one by one with their tickets. The group wasn’t in a hurry, waiting for the crowd to thin before entering the nearly empty lobby. They took their seats according to the numbers on their tickets, which were in the VIP section.

The theater was surprisingly quiet, with only an occasional sound, as if everyone was waiting for the performance to begin.

Several people sat side by side, leaving an empty seat on the far left, but it was unclear who it was reserved for.

Just five minutes before the performance began, a tall figure appeared in the aisle. Everyone turned to look, only to see that it was William Griffith. The light shone on him, his handsome face cold, exuding a hint of chill. His hawk-like eyes swept over the group but finally settled on the far-right seat.

Almost simultaneously, Cherish’s gaze met his. A moment of stiffness passed, and he gently averted his eyes, taking his seat. Cherish lowered her head without saying a word.

Yannis glanced at her quietly, noticing her slightly furrowed brows and the melancholy in her expression.

The music sounded, and the ballet finally began.

As the theater fell silent and the performers came and went on stage, Emma Hall appeared as the White Swan and became Princess Olga. Cherish didn’t know whether she was there to watch the ballet or to see Emma; she stared at her unblinkingly, ignoring the other dancers.

When the two-hour ballet ended and the curtain fell, the audience rose to their feet, applauding.

Cherish gently clapped as well, as if understanding something, smiling faintly.

As they left the theater, the group bumped into Emma, who had just put on her coat without removing her makeup. Yannis approached her and gave her a hug, “Emma, congratulations! The performance was brilliant and successful.”

“Thank you,” Emma whispered in gratitude. Yannis added, “Change your clothes; we’ll wait for you.”

“I’m sorry for making you wait,” Emma smiled at everyone before pausing briefly at William, then turning to leave.

When she was gone, Cherish said softly, “Sorry, I have to go.”

William’s gaze darkened, but he said nothing.

Watching Cherish’s retreating figure and turning to look at William, Emma apologized with an embarrassed smile. It seemed that his woman was jealous.
