Why would it be a horror movie?!

She turned her head to look at William Griffith, who was indifferently watching the screen, motionless.

The atmosphere gradually became tense and suffocating, as if there was something eerie beside her.

Cherish watched the movie on the screen, and as it slowly played, her eyebrows furrowed tighter as she tightly gripped the handle of her bag, seemingly comforting herself. Suddenly, a scream rang in her ears, and she closed her eyes in fright, not daring to look anymore.

This gory scene nearly drove Cherish insane! Why did they have to watch this kind of zombie movie? She never dared to watch such bloody films!

With a scream coming from the screen, Cherish was frightened and closed her eyes, her hands gripped tightly onto William’s arm, clinging closer and tighter.

In the darkness of the cinema, William somewhat revealed a smile.

After a while, she wanted to see if the terrible scene had passed, so she opened her eyes slightly once again.

What appeared on the screen was the face of an expressionless man, the zombie’s expression particularly horrifying.

Cherish couldn’t bear it any longer, loosening her hand, and suddenly hugged William’s arm beside her, shouting urgently, “William Griffith!”

She really wanted to escape this movie! She didn’t want to watch any of this anymore!

Without any change of expression, William turned his head to glance at her. Not saying a word, he lowered the armrest between them and extended his hand to hug her to his chest, allowing her to lean on him.

Though Cherish was not inherently timid, and even had some martial arts skills, she was just like any ordinary girl in her fear of horror movies; she never watched them. Now, she drilled forcefully into his arms, wishing she could stick to him.

William continued to watch the screen calmly, the corners of his mouth slightly upturned.

For the one and a half hour movie, Cherish snuggled in his arms, burying her head in his chest whenever a horrifying scene appeared, not daring to look up. His large hand gently held her, stroking her back, as if comforting her.

His gentle movements calmed her tense heart down.

The unique scent of his body, so familiar, and special, somehow smelled so good to her.

At that moment, she was immersed in his breath.

She had never felt so at ease before, experiencing it in his embrace.

Her heart racing wildly, Cherish clung to his clothes, unable to resist looking up at the movie again. His hands never let go, gently holding her. From the beginning to the end, he had never shifted his gaze away, silently watching the screen. Yet his increasingly smug smile at the corners of his mouth revealed his satisfaction.

Every now and then, screams from girls could be heard around them, the movie’s audio especially realistic.

Only when the movie ended and the dark screening hall suddenly lit up did Cherish open her eyes, momentarily blinded.

Only then did William lower his head, whispering in her ear, “It’s over.”

Cherish responded with a hum, getting up awkwardly. Thinking about how she had been nuzzling into his arms, her face flushed like a rosy cloud. She held her bag tightly, and following the men and women leaving the theater hall, William trailed closely behind her, his gaze full of joy.

“That was so scary! I won’t be able to sleep alone at night! I shudder just thinking about it, and I will never watch a horror movie again! It’s all your fault!” The girl in front hugged her boyfriend’s arm, cooing and complaining.

Her boyfriend held her in his arms, comforting her gently.

After hearing the couple’s conversation, Cherish unconsciously pursed her lips.
