Chapter 379: Chapter 379: William Griffith’s Little Thoughts Chapter 379: Chapter 379: William Griffith’s Little Thoughts “I’ll pick you up after work!” William Griffith bent his index finger and lightly scraped it across her delicate little nose.

“Let’s go.” William whispered, leading her through the crowd by the hand.

Cherish Turner followed him, looking at his tall figure skeptically, “Are we going home?”

“Not going home.”

Cherish became more curious, “Then where are we going?”

Could it be…

William kept walking forward without looking back, his voice floated from ahead, “To watch a movie.”

Cherish was stunned, and her smile grew wider.

So it’s to watch a movie! She had never watched a movie with a big boss like him before, and she always felt that he was the kind of ungrounded tycoon who would book an entire theater or something. Seeing a movie with everyone like this should be a rare experience!

Suddenly, she felt the big boss was so down-to-earth!

Just thinking about it, Cherish couldn’t help but smile happily.

Walking alongside William, she felt her every step becoming lighter. Cherish gripped his hand tight.

After a simple dinner, the sky had darkened. The moon was especially bright tonight, creating a romantic atmosphere.

The moonlight filtered through the gaps in the tree branches and fell on her hair, invoking a nostalgic feeling of their youth.

Not being too extravagant, William had bought two movie tickets from a group-buying website like any ordinary couple.

Cherish was surprised that he played smoothly with this kind of group-buying app, as if she had rediscovered William again!

“I can’t believe you know group buying too!” It’s fantastic!

William looked at her speechlessly. What kind of strange creature did she think he was? He was human too, okay?

“What else?”

“Shouldn’t a CEO book a private screening or something?”

“Do you think I have money to burn?” William flicked Cherish’s forehead with his fingertip, making her cry out in pain!

“I didn’t expect you to be so thrifty and housekeeping!” Cherish teased him.

“I have no choice; I need to save money to raise a son and, in the future, a wife…”

He stared deeply into her eyes as he said those words, laden with hidden meaning. Cherish looked shyly away.

Her heart almost jumped out of her throat!

The movie was scheduled for 10 PM and would last for an hour and a half.

When they arrived at the nearby cinema, the movie was about to start. William led Cherish towards the entrance and pulled the tickets from his suit pocket. After the staff tore the stubs, she was again passively led by him into the movie theater.

Entering through the right aisle, the two finally found their seats and sat down.

There weren’t many people at the night screening, with more than half of the seats in the vast cinema empty. Glancing around, Cherish found it strange that everyone who came to watch the movie seemed to be in pairs: one male and one female. She wondered if it was a romance film that would appeal to so many couples.

Suddenly, the screen went dark and displayed a line of subtitles.

Still unaccustomed to the sudden darkness, Cherish squinted her eyes. After a while, she looked at the screen.

It was a blockbuster South Korean movie.

On a train, some strange creatures seemed to have snuck in. Then, the scene changed suddenly – a bloody girl was hanging on to a female train attendant, biting into something before…

In a flash, the girl snapped the woman’s neck…

It turned out to be a zombie movie!

With the accompanying music, Cherish felt somewhat scared, finally realizing what movie she was watching.
