Chapter 373: Chapter 373: He is Such a Jerk Chapter 373: Chapter 373: He is Such a Jerk Cherish Turner didn’t dare to look at the property manager, and they didn’t continue gossiping.

However, they revealed important news to Cherish: Mr. Griffith planned to sell this house and was waiting for a buyer.

What? He was going to sell the house?

What did that mean?

Cherish felt suffocated, as if she wanted to seize William Griffith and give him a good beating!

Before it got dark, she curled up on the sofa and watched TV. A tear-jerking drama played on the screen, but she couldn’t focus. She glanced at the clock from time to time, watching every second tick by. By eight o’clock, she became restless, and finally couldn’t take it anymore.

She jumped up, quickly changed her clothes, grabbed her purse, and rushed out.

Upon boarding a taxi, the driver asked where she was going.

Cherish hurriedly replied, “Take me to the airport!”

Neon lights flashed past the car window, reflecting her anxious face as she desperately chased after something.

When Cherish arrived at the airport, it was already eight-thirty. She paid the fare and hurried out of the taxi, rushing into the airport. Among the unfamiliar faces, none of them were him. She saw the flight schedule on the display: flights to New York, United States…

Cherish sprinted to the waiting hall.

Without a boarding pass, she could not enter the waiting hall and was stopped by the airport staff. The New York flight had already begun its final boarding procedure; that plane would soon take off, carrying someone she might never see again.

Cherish didn’t know what to do. In a sudden burst of inspiration, she turned around and ran.

In the bustling airport, the female announcer’s voice sounded over the loudspeaker, repeating a few times: “Mr. William Griffith, please come to the entrance of Hall 1 after hearing this announcement, your friend is looking for you…”

An anxious girl waited at the entrance of Hall 1, looking around. People constantly passed by, but none of them were him. She waited and waited, but still couldn’t find him, her heart filled with disappointment. She finally lowered her head.

William Griffith, that bastard!

He wouldn’t come.

As Cherish turned around with a feeling of loss, she saw a tall figure standing behind her. His hands were in his pockets, his handsome face expressionless and indifferent. His eyes, however, were so deep, coldly staring at her.

William Griffith stood a meter away, his bright eyes staring, intensely fixed on her.

Thump, thump—her heartbeat sped up again.

“I…” As she was about to speak, William’s phone rang. He answered and spoke in fluent English, his deep voice drifting over.

After hanging up, he glanced at her again but said nothing.

Cherish unconsciously clenched her fists. God knew how much courage it took for her to stand there and explain herself. This was even more nerve-racking than her first public speech.

“Time’s up.” After a while, William spoke in a deep voice, then turned to leave.

“William Griffith!” Cherish blurted out, stopping him.

William stopped but did not turn around, so he couldn’t see how desperate she was. Cherish bit her lip, her voice soft but anxious: “That day…something happened, so I didn’t go. I’m sorry for disturbing your boarding.”

As her voice wafted over, William still did not turn around.

Cherish awkwardly turned and began to leave. Her words were spoken; it was time for her to go.

But he suddenly called out, “Cherish Turner.”

She shuddered, hearing his exceptionally grave voice, “Would you have gone to the United States with me if nothing had happened?”
