Chapter 372: Chapter 372 Tonight at Nine O’Clock Chapter 372: Chapter 372 Tonight at Nine O’Clock The next morning, everyone packed up their belongings.

The yacht set sail back to the seaport.

The shining sun cast golden light on the sparkling sea surface, connecting with the blue sky in the distance. In the final countdown of time, everyone enjoyed the sunbathing on the deck once again. Yannis Griffith was on the front deck of the yacht, while Hailey and Edward Smith were on the rear deck.

Grace Harper spread her arms wide and shouted, “Ah!”

“It’s ending so soon! Sigh!” Grace leaned against the railing, clearly reluctant to leave. Then she looked at Cherish Turner and said cheerfully, “Cherish, I’m going to get some juice. Want some lemon juice?”

Cherish stood aside and nodded.

Grace gestured “OK” and turned to run into the cabin.

Cherish squinted, the sea breeze blowing her hair and her face, suddenly looking in another direction. In that direction, William Griffith was leaning against the railing, silently smoking. His posture was enchanting, with an inscrutable, aloof air about him.

This morning, she overslept again, and when she woke up, he wasn’t by her side. After waking up, Cherish felt terribly empty, especially in her heart.

“Big brother, when’s your flight?” Hailey asked purposely so that Cherish would hear. Hailey then turned to ask him.

William took a puff of his cigarette and said in a deep voice, “At nine tonight.”

Hailey said, “Can’t you stay longer, big brother? You just got back.”

“I have things to do.”

He spoke simply, as if telling others that he had to leave.

Hailey glanced at Cherish and nodded helplessly, not saying anything else.

So, he was still leaving, at nine tonight.

Soon, the boat docked, and everyone returned home. Cherish went back to Cherry Blossom Garden. Yannis wanted to accompany her, but she declined, as she had no courage to do so under someone’s watchful gaze.

Mother Turner and Father Turner saw her dispirited appearance but were reluctant to ask questions for fear of provoking their daughter’s emotions. On top of that, the recent events at the Turner Family held them back from saying more, pretending not to notice Cherish’s odd behavior.

Life went on as usual for the two elders, trying to maintain normalcy, just like before.

Mother Turner still cooked her delicious dishes, while Father Turner juggled his newspaper and his wife’s errands.

This warm feeling was familiar to Cherish. She was used to this kind of family.

Could she put her past behind her and move on? Was there any point in clinging to it?

Cherish began to reflect.

She remembered that William Griffith also had a house in Cherry Blossom Garden, right upstairs. At that moment, she suddenly wanted to see and feel the place where he had stayed.

Cherish took the elevator alone to William’s room.

The spacious suite was still empty and cold.

Just as she stood there for a short while, someone suddenly opened the door.

Cherish thought it was William, and she became somewhat nervous, waiting for the person to come in. But the person who entered was not him.

A property manager, holding the key, was taken aback to see Cherish.

“Miss Turner, what are you doing here?”

“I…” For a moment, she didn’t know how to respond.

“I’m friends with the owner of this house, and I just came to have a look.”

The property manager found her answer strange. Friends? Since when? And did she have the key?
