Dimensional Tycoon: I Make Trillions in Every World -
Chapter 77: Return
Chapter 77: Return
[Ding!]
The system repeated in his head.
[Ding!]
Once. Twice.
[Ding!] [Ding!] [Ding!]
Then it increased its frequency, assaulting his mind with echoing sounds.
"Stop it," Noa said inwardly.
To his surprise, the annoying noise vanished instantly, leaving complete silence in his head.
However, it didn’t last for long.
[Host, I am back,] the system announced enthusiastically, feeling excited to be back.
Its voice still sounded robotic, like back in the days, but compared to the one he had heard earlier, it sounded almost human.
Or perhaps there was something else.
[System evolution completed.]
Description: All core functions now run smoother with no delay.
Features: +200% processing efficiency, smarter system behavior, additional missions
Rarity: Unique
Noa didn’t know that the system had to go through tough punishment.
It all happened because he had deleted rice from Hollow Jade City at a cheap price when he wasn’t eligible to do so.
It was the system’s gamble, which didn’t pay off.
At least everything returned to how it was, rewarding Noa with new missions and a system better suited to help him.
"Glad to see you back. The model you left for me was almost useless," he said inwardly, almost nearing his store.
[Me too,] it answered, its voice wavering.
Noa was taken aback for a moment, not expecting such a response.
However, the system wasn’t done.
Not yet.
[Let’s not talk about what happened and focus on the future. I see your progress is looking good. Even the sect is looking good.]
Noa nodded, putting his thoughts away.
"I found interesting options for the buildings, but I need more ways to farm Tycoon Points. Any updates on that matter?"
[Check your status,] the system advised.
Noa grinned and summoned the familiar interface.

-Find an abandoned village or ruined sect and revive it-
Reward: Black Market access
’Wow,’ Noa exclaimed. ’This looks better than I was expecting. Now I can confidently make more TP.’
The system agreed.
It also added an explanation.
[The first three missions are more like features. You can repeatedly complete them and gain rewards each time. This is the last instance you see them in this mission tab.
As for the fourth quest, I don’t think you need my report.]
It was just like Noa had guessed.
"No need," he said, looking forward to the black market feature.
Meanwhile, he, Yun Qiqi, and Mia had neared the store, the world around them darkened by night.
The slime didn’t leave his side either.
At least it was more tamed, though Noa still didn’t know how to use it.
Neither did the system offer any advice.
So he walked inside his store, glancing at his two adorable sisters, who somehow looked more exhausted than ever.
But considering how chaotic their entire day had been, Noa understood their situation.
Even then, before leaving Ligma and going back to Earth, he had to leave the slime behind, and what better place than the bonding room?
That’s why he asked the girls to wait in the hall.
He, however, opened a random door and dashed inside the chamber.
It looked normal.
There were no visible or any hidden changes.
Even the greedy egg seemed unchanged.
It just continued what it loved the most—devouring mana and qi from the atmosphere, toughening its eggshell.
The slime felt like a spirit beast.
Though its origin differed from every other animal, it still was a creature born from qi.
So what better way existed to leave it inside the space with rich energy?
After resting it close to the egg, the slime stirred for a moment.
Not because it was against Noa’s decision or reacting to the egg’s presence, but because it also started gobbling qi like a starved beast.
The slime seemed less energetic now.
It was at peace, finally lowering its guard.
The chamber had built a quiet space around it like a cocoon, allowing it to relax before falling asleep.
"I didn’t know slimes could sleep," Noa muttered.
He then quickly left the room and joined the girls, grinning at their endless yawns.
"I am coming as well. I want to spend more time with Dad, too," he announced and concentrated on finding connections between the two worlds.
One minute later, it happened.
He sensed the link and summoned the portal.
Mia and Qiqi stood right next to him, waiting for the rift to materialize fully.
Another one minute later, they jumped in.
Colors began shifting, the smell of the steak lingered still, and the sounds hushed repeatedly.
"Earth!" Yun Qiqi said as soon as her vision cleared.
They were back on Noa’s and Mia’s home planet, bringing a sense of joy to their faces.
"You know what?" the latter said while walking through the park. "I like the fact that we can come and go whenever we want. This is so convenient. I feel so bad for the protagonists who can’t do it."
"That’s fiction," Noa answered, his steps measured.
"Who knows? Maybe the authors were the main characters themselves and decided to tell the story after achieving their dreams."
Noa had thought about that as well.
But there was no clear answer to this dilemma.
And he had no intention of writing his story either.
At least not yet.
The night on Earth was silent, and though it was still louder than the Hollow Jade City, the street felt peaceful.
"We are back," Noa said after opening the door to his apartment.
No answer came from the inside.
So they walked in, searching for the father who should have been watching TV in the living room.
