Dimensional Tycoon: I Make Trillions in Every World -
Chapter 46: Travel
Chapter 46: Travel
Noa’s goal was grand.
It wasn’t just hard—it had its own complications, forcing him to face his fears.
But he knew it was time to act.
Not because he needed a worker, nor because of desperation.
The confidence that surged in his heart and the calm he was feeling in his head helped him to make up his mind.
’I have changed,’ he thought.
It wasn’t a guess.
It was something he genuinely believed.
Before the store closed and the girls left for the night, Noa announced, his voice loud enough for everyone to hear.
"I am leaving for a day. The store is in your hands."
These words were directed at his employees, his gaze peering into them.
"Don’t be afraid. The building is protected by me, and nothing bad would happen to it. You just have to continue doing your job, and I will be back even before you feel my absence."
Qing Xuan and Hue Xanly exchanged glances.
"Ohh," he remembered something. "Don’t close the door. Chen Hao is still unconscious."
The girls gulped this time.
They were left with responsibilities they weren’t sure if they could handle.
Seeing their confused faces, Noa chuckled.
"You don’t have to believe in yourself if you aren’t ready. Just believe in me, who believes in you."
These words worked like a charm.
Hue Xanly nodded first, her eyes shining with determination.
Qing Xuan agreed as well.
She also trusted Noa even more than herself, and if he said something, it had to be true.
Knowing what kind of influence his simple words would have, Noa used them without hesitation, and glancing at Yun Qiqi, he added,
"You are coming with me."
"Really?" the girl exclaimed, surprised. "Can I really come with you?"
She didn’t ask about the destination.
Not yet.
The idea of going somewhere with Noa was far more interesting for her.
"Yep. We are going to Earth to bring someone with us, and I need your help."
"Earth?" Yun Qiqi repeated. "What... what’s that?"
"Earth is a planet from a distant galaxy. It’s far from here, but I have the means to visit it," Noa explained.
The other girls stayed silent.
The idea of venturing to another planet was a foreign concept for them. But coming from Noa, they weren’t surprised by that.
Still, it sounded exciting, terrifying, and intimidating at the same time.
Yun Qiqi’s enthusiasm stood out from the others’ silent reactions, her round eyes sparkling and her hands shaking with excitement.
Watching them all, Noa’s smile widened.
’Do it!’ he announced to the system, waiting for the portal to materialize.
Suddenly, time stopped.
Then the air followed.
Until both of them cracked visibly, forming something that should belong in this world.
It created massive energy.
Stronger than anything Qing Xuan and Hue Xanly had ever seen, and instead of losing power, the portal continued to expand.
A slight shimmer with strong shockwaves shook the building.
Noa could sense none of that, but others felt like the world was going to end.
The rift started as a small tear.
Quickly, it started to grow with an otherworldly blue light, while also dropping the room temperature by several degrees.
It also brought a distinctive scent.
A smell of something burning filled the air, brightening the room.
"This is it," Noa said, looking over his two employees. "This is our transport. It’s time for us to go, and don’t forget what I said."
The girls nodded, trying to keep their cool.
He then grabbed Yun Qiqi’s hand with a firm grip, pulling her into the glowing rift.
She couldn’t even blink as her vision shifted.
The world around them seemed to fade, as if dissolving into colorless particles. "W-What?" Yun Qiqi screamed with awe and elation. "This is... awesome!" she exclaimed, tightening her grip on Noa’s arm.
One minute later, the colors returned.
Noa stepped out of the portal, dragging the little girl as he opened his eyes.
The familiar scent from Earth assaulted his nose.
It was different.
Stronger.
Less charged with qi.
And the world itself was loud—louder than every busy street Yun Qiqi had ever visited.
"It’s so strange," she mumbled.
"Do you like it?" Noa asked, waiting to hear her full reaction.
Even someone as composed as Yun Qiqi lost her composure, her legs refusing to budge.
However, her eyes didn’t stop.
She darted them without a single pause, trying to see everything, even if she couldn’t understand it.
"I don’t know," she whispered, her voice muffled with wonder.
Turning her head around, she saw cars, skyscrapers, and people with strange clothes.
"It’s just... too loud," she added.
"You will get used to it. Now you can ask questions about everything that catches your interest, and as your older brother, I will do everything to satisfy your curiosity."
Yun Qiqi eyed Noa for a moment.
She tried to explain what was going on, but her limited knowledge wasn’t enough.
So she shrugged.
"What’s that?" she asked, pointing at the moving vehicle.
"It’s called a car. People from this world use it for long-distance transportation," he explained, already moving towards his destination.
"What about carriages? Where are they?"
"They no longer use them. The cars are faster and easier to look after. They can also cover longer distances and are super comfy. We can ride one if you want."
Noa offered her to try everything she wanted.
They spent the next hour or so riding the bus, entertaining themselves.
To her, Earth was like a Rubik’s Cube.
A puzzle she had to unravel by asking as many questions as she could.
Despite believing that he couldn’t have fun on Earth, Noa couldn’t help but find himself enjoying the moment.
"We need to get off at this stop," he said.
"Why? Yun Qiqi wants to explore some more. Let’s just stay here for a couple more minutes," she pleaded.
"This is our destination—the place I was talking about."
"And who do you want to find again?" she questioned, following him.
Feeling his quickened heartbeat as he recognized the streets where he had spent his childhood, Noa answered with a chuckle.
"My sister."
