Destined Villain's Life -

Chapter 31: [31] Ellen’s urgency {3}
The next day, Ellen didn’t come to the class.
Zick wasn’t surprised by this.
’If she studied it the whole night, her condition would have worsened. Her sense of time might have already gone out of control.’ Zick thought seeing professor Khein’s frown.
There was no announcement made prior to him. Such careless action will lead to deduction in grade points.
Khein didn’t want to see this happening. Though not apparent, he cared about the grade maintained by the diamond class.
Because that was directly proportional to the salary he got every month. This was an important source of income for Khein, he didn’t want to lessen it for no reason.
Zick knew exactly what Khein thought and couldn’t help but shake his head.
’He seems very cautious...nothing like his future self.’ Zick opened his mobile and took a look at [End’s wing].
Within just a few days, Zick made almost half a million wing points. It was around 5 million in Wrantz.
This was an amount a normal working family will never see, even if they add up a lifetime of money. It was possible to start a small business with this money.
’Dragon heir did contact me once, but they appear to be quite hesitant....’
They requested a face to face meeting, So Zick could only wait for the weekend. He wasn’t worried very much, his strength was enough to suppress them alone.
Dragon heir was still in their growth phase, it couldn’t pose a threat to him.
Going through the courses he chose, it became evening soon.
Zick didn’t hesitate and headed to the girl dormitory for diamond rank cadets.
"I want to meet Ellen Jolheim. Can you contact her." Zick handed over his cadet ID to the receptionist.
The bodyguard watched Zick solemnly. Boys couldn’t go anywhere other than the meeting hall in the entrance of this dormitory. It was a strict rule maintained by [Alter] academy.
"Understood, please wait for a second on the couch." The receptionist spoke with a smile.
While sitting, Zick didn’t take his eyes off the receptionist as she made a call. It took quite a while for the other party to accept the call. This made his smile grow deeper.
"That....Mam, no boys are allowed to enter a female cadet’s room. Please understand..."
The women receptionist was stuck in quite a hard place. Knowing exactly what would happen if she dissatisfied either of the two parties before her.
The [Alter] academy was strictly below the senator’s jurisdiction. Though, it would be hard to change something drastically - firing a simple receptionist was easy.
"Okay....I understand...Mister Zick, Miss Ellen wants to speak with you." The receptionist handed over the landline phone to Zick.
"Zick....can you...can you meet me...?"
Listening to the languid voice on the other side of the phone, Zick was surprised a little. She almost sounded like she was about to die.
’She hasn’t called her family or doctor yet...? And her request...’
Zick answered calmly: "I can do it."
Unconsciously, Zick was quite happy listening to Ellen’s slight plea. It was something he never experienced before regression.
Zick wasn’t confused about Ellen’s exact situation for long. He gave back the phone to the receptionist and then was led to Ellen’s room.
’She didn’t disappoint me, her talent is really the pinnacle of the mage profession. She could actually understand the elements of reality to a degree in just one day...’
Zick didn’t see any other reason for Ellen to act like this. In the first place, he wanted her to find out about the reality element existence.
It was easy to clean the trace of reality element, but he still left it on Ellen’s pen. Just so that she could ’accidentally’ discover it.
The receptionist was still a little nervous from breaking the rule, leading Zick with a pale face.
"This is it....umm, male cadets can’t enter the girls room strictly, So I hope that you can speak without entering. I can, of course, move away...." The receptionist kept speaking with a nervous smile.

Ellen’s door was opened slightly, but she was nowhere to be seen. It was opened using magic and seeing from the way she opened it exactly after the receptionist finished speaking.
It was apparent that Ellen wanted Zick to enter.
"...." The receptionist froze.
"What would happen if I entered?" Zick questioned blankly.
"....Expulsion or deduction in GP, depending on what happens inside." The receptionist said while turning paler.
"Ah, I don’t do this usually but...." Zick’s eyes grew frosty, "Just stay here quietly and don’t call anyone. Or else, I will make it so that you never get a job anywhere in this country."
Zick didn’t like flaunting power that didn’t belong to him. However, he would still use it if necessary and he wasn’t joking with the receptionist.
He would destroy her life if she didn’t do what he ordered.
Not waiting for her response, Zick entered Ellen’s room immediately. He was aware that this small action couldn’t be hidden with all the cameras around the dormitory.
It would be sooner or later exposed.
Ellen’s room was no different than Zick’s, however it was especially untidy everywhere. Even the desktop light was left turned on till now.
After closing the door, Zick walked deeper into the room. His leg touched the fallen landline phone and other decorations as he moved on.
’Hmm...?’ Zick frowned.
The room was filled with tons of paper, discarded after use. Dozens of magical instruments were placed on the bed, where Ellen sat with a clumsy appearance. She still wore the cadets uniform.
"She is on something...." Zick frowned as he saw the injections placed on Ellen’s desks.
’This wasn’t something I expected....She took drugs? Really....’
Unexpectedly, Now Zick was stuck in a tough position.
If someone saw the current situation, they would definitely suspect Zick’s involvement. It would ruin the image that he tried so hard to maintain.
Ellen’s head wobbled as she tried to maintain vision on Zick. Her mind couldn’t concentrate on one place at all, it was as if her mind was shutting down on herself.
Suffering from many diseases, it wasn’t surprising that she came across a few drugs. It was provided by the doctor to help her cope.
She took it hoping that she could attend the class today. However, to her shock, it sent her into a world of euphoria and confusion. Even the simplest decision was hard to make.
Holding Ellen’s hand, Zick sent his mana into her, intending to suppress the drug’s effect. But to his surprise, it was only affected slightly.
"....How many doses did you take?" Zick questioned with a hardened expression.
"Two...?" Ellen’s eyes clouded over in deep thought.
"..."
Zick looked around the room and spread his mana. There aren’t any cameras in the cadets’ room, he decided to take a look once anyway.
Not finding anything, Zick turned to Ellen again.
"Why did you want to meet with me?"
Zick felt two hot hands holding his palm tightly.
"That....element, can you use it...?"
After studying for a while, Ellen came to understand the reality element to a degree. It can change the structure of matter, an element like no other.
Truthfully, at her current condition, Ellen was embarrassed to meet Zick like this. But her instinct was telling her that she wouldn’t get another chance if she misses this time. Her body would most likely reaching its limit.
"Yeah." Zick nodded and wondered if he should use [Reality manipulation] to fix Ellen’s current condition.
[Reality manipulation] hasn’t been used on any living being yet, by Zick at least. He wasn’t sure if some other problem would arise if he used it on Ellen.
"....." Ellen couldn’t speak up.
The chance of surviving was right before her, however even in her current state she couldn’t state her mind.
Was it pride? Scared of rejection? Or something else, Ellen couldn’t tell herself.
It has been a while and she has sobered up a whole, but her mind’s confusion refused to let go.
Not wanting to maintain the awkward atmosphere, Ellen spoke up blankly: "You seem pretty aware of...I, mean about drugs?"
Zick sat down beside Ellen, with a comfortable amount of distance.
"Well... It’s a good way to escape reality when you know it doesn’t matter anymore." Zick spoke softly.
"That so..."
Zick shook his head: "Don’t look at me like that, I’m clean now. Unlike you."
"Ah....That...."
"Anyway, you should go to the hospital. I have watched your condition and it doesn’t look good." Zick offered.
"It’s pointless..."
Ellen looked at the ceiling....
’What am I doing....’ Ellen’s mind turned blank for a second.
"Hmm, You have sobered up enough, I guess. I will not waste both of our time anymore, I came here because I know about your condition. Syepterc - an interesting disease to be suffering from."
The calm atmosphere was broken by Zick instantly.
Ellen’s eyes shook staring at Zick, her secret was already found out by someone else.
"I came here with an offer in mind....and I didn’t expect that you would have interest in drugs." Zick teased slightly while talking.
"That’s not it..." Ellen clenched her fists.
"So, are you interested? You will probably die by tomorrow anyway." Zick smiled coldly.
