Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 959 - 710: The Plan

Chapter 959: Chapter 710: The Plan

Roger hadn’t yet come up with an excuse when Jora took the initiative to seek him out, voicing her concerns.

"When advancing to the Fifth Tier, there will be a dramatic energy surge. It’s impossible to hide this from Heyman’s spies. If we want to conceal this breakthrough, we must make thorough preparations."

Neither Roger nor Sonia had much experience in this regard. Roger initially thought to find a chance to quietly leave the valley, allowing Sonia to advance to the Fifth Tier, and then proceed seamlessly to prepare for the ritual.

But now it seemed that, at least during the breakthrough, he would still need Jora’s assistance. If Heyman appeared halfway through the power surge...

Roger feared he wouldn’t be able to handle it alone.

"The volcano we’re in has some rather unique properties. Beneath it, unknown forces linger. I can try to detonate some of its energy ahead of time and carve an Array underground as camouflage."

"When the energy surge peaks, you can ride that momentum to complete your breakthrough, masking the aura of your advancement."

Jora sighed deeply.

"When this is over, this place will be a wasteland. If Heyman investigates, I wouldn’t mind giving him one last surprise."

It was clear that the volcano and its hidden energy held some special significance for her. But for the plan to proceed smoothly, she could only give up on this place.

"Alright." Breaking through under Jora’s watchful eye carried numerous risks of exposure. However, Roger had no other choice at the moment and could only agree reluctantly.

"To protect Dora, I could arrange for her to leave this place first..."

"I’m not going anywhere!" Amanda interrupted Jora, feigning a stubborn demeanor.

"Let her stay with me. With her abilities, nothing serious will happen, and my mount will protect her." Roger interjected.

"No, it’s too dangerous!"

Once the process starts, all my focus will be on controlling the volcano’s energy, and I won’t have time to pay attention to what’s happening below.

"I will protect her," Roger promised again.

"I won’t be separated from him!"

Amanda stepped forward, positioning herself between Roger and Jora.

"You, turning yourself into someone who resembles me—what exactly are you planning?"

"Are you scheming to tear us apart because you’re keeping some unspeakable secret?"

"Between you two..."

Amanda feigned suspicion, her gaze darting between Roger and Jora.

Roger’s eye twitched slightly as he stepped forward and grabbed Amanda. "Don’t say such nonsense. Lady Jora is only concerned about your safety."

"Let her stay," Jora said, her tone slightly awkward.

"With abundant Life Essence, the advancement process won’t be that dangerous. As long as some care is taken, there shouldn’t be any serious issues."

Amanda said nothing, but a peculiar glint flickered in her eyes. Jora’s abrupt change in attitude made it hard not to be suspicious.

"You’re not hiding anything from me about that woman, are you?"

Jora had barely left when Amanda impatiently asked.

"How could that be?"

Roger waved his hand dismissively. "You’ve seen her attitude toward me; after our previous recklessness, she silently bore more than she should have..."

"Cough, cough, I’d even say she probably thinks about killing me now."

"Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I can’t shake this feeling that her gaze toward you is... peculiar."

"Haha..." Roger let out an awkward laugh. "We’re Transcendents, not hormone-driven animals. Do you think something like that could just happen willy-nilly?"

Finally managing to steer the conversation away, Roger delved into the details of the subsequent steps. Since Jora had been staying at the palace, he hadn’t been able to relay messages to Henrik and the others for some time.

But, according to Sonia, the unexpected exposure of their strength had instantly made Kaer Morhen the focal point of the entire Transcendent World.

Not just Armenia—European and Latin American Transcendent Forces had also come to pay visits. Its meteoric rise had been too abrupt, and the sheer power they’d displayed was enough to astonish everyone.

However, Sonia also voiced her concerns. She was acutely aware that behind all the forces in Armenia and Europe lay even higher tiers of power.

Roger had no effective solution for this either. As their strength grew, Kaer Morhen’s revelation was only a matter of time.

It had simply happened too suddenly. And since Roger had ventured into other worlds, it was unlikely that Fifth Tier entities would set their sights on them so soon.

They just needed to hold out a little longer for their safe return.

Time flew by. Ten days later, at noon, Roger led Amanda and Sonia deep underground, where Jora had transformed into a giant dragon, now perched atop the volcanic crater.

"Remember what I said: you must complete the advancement precisely at the peak of the energy outburst."

Though separated by some distance, Jora’s voice was still crystal clear in Roger’s ears.

Technology here was primitive, with no satellite positioning or wireless transmission, but the Transcendent World had no shortage of similar methods.

Roger signaled Sonia with a glance and declared, "I’m ready. Let’s begin!"

Jora extended her body, flames erupting from her. But in an instant, they recoiled as she opened her maw, releasing a multicolored flame that poured into the volcano’s heart.

It was as if a bomb had been ignited. A deafening explosion echoed from deep within the volcano. The ground trembled, and Roger felt the ground beneath his feet rapidly heating up.

However, the immense energy didn’t break through the surface; instead, it surged upward through the Spell-inscribed runes on the ground, rocketing straight into the sky!
