Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 957 - 709: Fifth Tier?

Chapter 957: Chapter 709: Fifth Tier?

"You’ve entered the Fifth Tier?"

Roger’s face lit up with surprise.

The green glow in Sonia’s eyes gradually faded, "Pure Life Essence..."

"How did you manage that?" she asked instead of answering, then shook her head.

"I still need a bit more time to fully activate the core structure and leverage the Life Essence to transform my body."

"But that won’t take too long either."

"You could say half of me has already stepped into the Fifth Tier, though it’s the weakest form of the Fifth Tier."

Sonia’s elevation of her life level allowed her to crush almost all Fourth Tier beings with raw Vitality, but only under the condition she didn’t encounter anomalies like Roger or Sword Master Cold Crow.

She had no competitiveness against others at the same level.

Even so, this result far exceeded Sonia’s expectations, solving her lifespan issue. When she returns to her original world, she only needs to steadily accumulate strength through other worlds and complete Uni-element evolution.

"Once I fully step into the Fifth Tier, even with the suppression of world rules, my power will rise significantly. It will be enough to initiate the ritual," Sonia promised.

"At that time, you can help us pinpoint the world coordinates, break through the barrier, and return together."

"This world is too chaotic. Staying longer, although beneficial in some ways, comes with ubiquitous dangers," Sonia said, hinting at her desire to leave.

Each dimensional travel was an unknown adventure. No matter how much investigation and calculation were done upfront, one could only perceive the differences between worlds once they entered.

Before teleporting, Sonia had made relevant assessments, but how could she have predicted that the energy level of Erode’s world was extremely high, though its developmental trajectory was far shorter than where they came from?

If not for Roger, she might have fallen to the level of livestock. If luck weren’t on her side, she might have been auctioned off or served on a dining table.

At worst... she might have faced breeding arrangements due to her unique "species."

For most Transcendents, it’s likely they’d rather die than face such a fate.

But in reality, some events could not be swayed by personal will; too many unpredictable accidents occurred in other worlds.

Sonia had heard about some powerful Transcendents who, upon Return, became eccentric, developing strange, inexplicable obsessions.

Roger furrowed his brow and suppressed the faint smile at the corner of his eyes, a heavy feeling settling in his heart as he recalled that immense, sky-shading hand.

If he were to shatter the barrier and initiate the teleportation, it would undoubtedly draw the gaze of that unknown entity. At that point, safe Return would be out of the question—not for him, Sonia, or Amanda.

But he couldn’t express this outright, so he vaguely said, "Speed up the process, aim to enter the Fifth Tier soon. When the time comes, I’ll help you define the world coordinates."

"You go first, I have things to take care of."

"You’re not leaving?" Amanda asked, her face filled with nervousness.

Roger nodded and replied, "Later. This trip caused Jora to make great sacrifices, nearly leading to permanent loss of her strength."

"While her motives weren’t entirely selfless, she did help us resolve the biggest problem. I plan to stay and help her through her current crisis."

"Don’t worry, I’ll take care of myself—no matter what, I won’t risk my life because of this."

Amanda was about to say more when Sonia interrupted, "Don’t worry about Roger. His strength is the greatest among us. He can leave anytime after we Return."

"What needs the most caution now is you."

"Alright," Amanda conceded. She wasn’t someone who ignored the situation; seeing that Roger had made up his mind, she naturally didn’t press further.

From Sonia, she learned that once Life Essence filled the core, the final phase involved saturation.

Let the Essence’s Energy spread throughout the body, completely transforming the life level. If the relevant structures are filled at this point, the corresponding power would further increase upon entering the Fifth Tier.

But the Eye of Truth had already been given to Roger, so Sonia only needed to agitate the Life Essence within her and wait for the right moment to step into the Fifth Tier.

Returning to his room, Roger focused his attention deep within his consciousness. During the earlier transmission, he gained some insights and no longer attempted to forcibly manipulate the energy in the lake.

He closed his eyes, his mind gradually sharpening.

First, a faint glow emerged, then green light began to shimmer across his palm.

"It really works!"

Roger opened his eyes, but confusion clouded them. "What am I now?"

"Fifth Tier?"

He possessed formidable Vitality but lacked a matching core structure. However, the Hunter’s Cabin could accommodate power from other worlds.

Though he hadn’t tried, Roger was confident his upper limit far exceeded five!

"What should I do next?"

Although the cabin didn’t provide detailed guidance, Roger had two vague thoughts: first, to complete the High Mountain Trial and unveil the next stage of transformation.

Second, to continue gathering, aiming to turn the phantom-like Hunter’s Cabin into something tangible.

Five Core Sword Seals—he had already mastered three. Another one was always ready to be learned, and once he returned to his original world, completing the last step would suffice.

As for how to Return, Roger still had no solid plans; he could only take it step by step.

But for him, crossing worlds was the best way to enhance strength, though that unknown existence continued to lurk in the void.

He didn’t believe that doing nothing was a surefire way to dodge danger entirely. If his situation paralleled the former Sword Master Cold Crow’s, then being harvested was merely a matter of time.
