Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 938 - 700: Please Lie Down

Chapter 938: Chapter 700: Please Lie Down

This time, the two of them ventured deep underground. The surrounding air gradually grew dry, and beyond that, Roger even felt his mood start to become irritable.

They were likely getting closer to the very bottom of the volcano.

"Which stage have you reached now?"

Jora asked.

"Probably just the beginning." Roger responded vaguely. To be honest, he wasn’t sure about Erode’s ascension system, and answering rashly could easily expose his identity as an Otherworldly Visitor.

"What about your domain?" Jora didn’t think much of it.

"I don’t have a domain. For years, I’ve been exploring cultivation on my own." A dragon’s domain couldn’t directly boost their combat power.

But to a certain extent, it could enhance their comprehension of power and accelerate their progress.

Jora paused, giving Roger a slightly astonished glance.

"To achieve this level without a domain, your talent is indeed extraordinary."

"It was kind of an accidental fluke. I came into contact with things not of this world, and then gradually transformed into what I am now."

"That’s troublesome."

"You’ve deviated from the original path, and forcibly correcting it will take a lot of time and comes with risks of failure."

Jora’s expression turned grave.

"Without the nourishment of faith from ordinary people, your body will be extremely fragile. Although it won’t affect normal combat, you won’t be able to break past your limits by relying on your own Vitality."

"So the traditional path is unfeasible. You might have to try methods that are prevalent in those Low-Energy Worlds."

"Construct the core, break through the barrier to Fifth Tier first, and then slowly let your original body absorb the Life Essence from your Avatar."

"Of course, that’s for later. As long as you reach the Fifth Tier, you’ll stand a chance against Heyman, and then we’ll have many more options."

Roger nodded. It seemed his earlier guess was correct. The ascension method he obtained from Sonia was not an exclusive invention of another world but a common practice in many Low-Energy Worlds.

"Try the Dual-element structure. It should suit you better for now. As for this issue, I can only offer a bit of advice. The rest will depend on your own choices."

"The power you’ve mastered before will influence your development path after reaching Tier Five. While it can be altered upon reaching a certain level, I hope you’ll make a careful decision."

The ground beneath their feet cracked open. Before Roger appeared a fiery red passage, and Jora led him step by step downward until they arrived at a dimly lit, crimson hall.

At the base of the surrounding stone pillars burned roaring flames. Jora reached her hand into the fire, and when she withdrew it, a dark red scale appeared in her palm.

"Erode’s world barrier is incredibly solid, but it occasionally connects with other worlds. This is a Dual-element Structural Skill I obtained in the past. You can use it as a reference."

"Of course, you’ll need to replace the energy attributes with those you’re skilled at. There are many subtle expansions and variations. Over the years, I’ve only accumulated three pieces. If you encounter any problems, feel free to come find me anytime."

Jora reached into the flames again and withdrew two more scales.

It appeared that the fire linked to a fixed space, like some sort of extradimensional pocket. However, it was clear that not just anyone could access it or retrieve items from within.

It was obvious that Jora had lied earlier in her explanations.

Although this wasn’t the main base, Jora could still access the true treasures stored through the flames.

Holding the three scales in his hand, Roger allowed his consciousness to penetrate them. The so-called core structure seemed more like a reverse deduction of a rule to him.

Using a thought process that a Transcendent could comprehend, it leveraged the rules inherent in the world to maximize one’s own power.

Among the three scales in his hand, two contained insights into fire.

Burning and Explosion.

The two most common Flame Attributes.

Erode’s Energy Level was high. Dragons living here, upon reaching a certain threshold of power, could ascend by conducting specific rituals or merely by activating their Vitality.

This was utterly unimaginable in the world Roger came from.

Roger hadn’t noticed any issues before, but now certain suspicions arose. He believed the Transcendents in that world had likely undergone a catastrophe that drastically reduced its world energy ceiling upon recovery.

As a result, the path of ascension there had become exceedingly grueling for ordinary Transcendents.

After all, the natural rules there no longer permitted the existence of High Tier beings.

"I’ve studied flames a bit. These happen to be just what I need."

"Flames? I thought your strength leaned more toward dark or spatial attributes..."

Jora glanced at Roger but didn’t press further.

"On the topic of flames, I can provide you with a bit of guidance." As she spoke, Jora reached into her chest and pulled out a cluster of flames shimmering with multicolored light.

It emitted no searing heat, yet upon seeing the flames, Roger’s emotions shifted strangely: rage? Fear?

A complex mix of feelings.

"This is my Origin Flame. It’s still incomplete. In my vision, it will become a flame that induces ultimate emotions."

"As long as emotions exist, the flame can use them as fuel to burn endlessly—whether it’s pain, fear, jealousy, or anything else."
