Chapter 903: Chapter 682: Pulling Up Radishes_2

Here, he was in a state of seclusion and didn’t grasp much about the surrounding situation, the negotiations between nations, or the movements of Transcendents.

And now, having just Returned, his understanding was naturally limited.

But when Roger asked, he couldn’t claim to know nothing. He could only ramble, mentioning some general and superficial observations.

Little did he know, this was exactly what Roger had hoped for.

From these fragmented pieces of information, Roger began to weave an initial impression of this world in his mind.

Erode was a vast world, interconnected with other dimensions. Its Energy Level surpassed that of Roger’s original world and far exceeded even Everworld’s.

Here, the seeds of science hadn’t sprouted—this was a world destined never to illuminate a technological tree. However, they were far ahead in the pursuit of power.

Chachi and others were special Dragonborn.

Just as Roger had speculated earlier, their power growth was directly tied to the domains they controlled.

And those domains required the support of an appropriate population and land.

Transcendents and the ordinary people of Everworld hadn’t completely separated. The two were intertwined, taking what they needed and maintaining a certain balance.

Nations under the protection of Giant Dragons enjoyed numerous implicit benefits. The dragons Chachi spoke of weren’t manifested creatures like Hillrenes.

Instead, they were actual living creatures.

However, Chachi’s discussions didn’t delve into specifics, so Roger had to maintain an aloof demeanor, making it inconvenient to ask questions casually.

The estate they were currently in appeared ordinary and secluded, but it was actually hidden near the Royal City under Spell protection.

Chachi preferred solitude, coupled with his consciousness previously traveling to another world. This left the entire estate lifeless and void of vitality.

The only things moving were puppets or small objects controlled by Spells.

As he continued to speak, Roger frowned slightly. Chachi, who had been closely observing his expression, immediately fell silent.

Truth be told, he was running out of things to fabricate. If he continued, it would lead to trouble.

"What’s over in that direction?"

This time, prepared, Roger sensed a bit of information transmitted by Sonia.

But he found it odd. The contact between them wasn’t extensive, and when they parted, they hadn’t left any special means of communication. So, Sonia...

Yes... her eyes!

Roger suddenly remembered something.

"That’s the Royal City!"

Chachi seemed relieved. "This place is so modest. How about I take you for a tour of the Royal City?" Chachi tentatively asked.

"Very well."

Roger replied while simultaneously focusing his spirit. At the center of his forehead, a faintly visible eye-shaped mark slowly emerged.

In that instant, Roger felt as if the information he captured had increased significantly.

"Damn it... What’s going on?"

"The rules of this world... I..."

Suddenly, all the information disappeared. Only then did Roger figure out the reason behind it.

Sonia hadn’t transmitted anything to him—it was that the eye had once belonged to Sonia. Back then, for the sake of self-preservation or gratitude, she violently removed her own eye.

It wasn’t her physical eye but an essential part of her materialized Dragon Body.

Or perhaps, its core.

Afterward, Roger obtained the eye, and the Hunter’s Cabin absorbed its power. This allowed Roger to faintly sense Sonia’s information here.

Did this count as some form of spying?

Sonia appeared to have encountered some trouble.

"Please follow me."

Chachi led Roger to a room. From the floor to the walls, extending to the ceiling, intricate patterns were etched everywhere.

Muttering incantations, a faint glow flashed, and their bodies vanished from sight.

The bustling sounds invaded his ears as Roger lifted his head. Grayish-white square stone slabs paved the ground, and towering buildings lined the wide streets.

The level of civilization here looked similar to the medieval period in his original world, but due to the prevalence of Spells, there were notable differences in finer details.

Though he hadn’t received further information about Sonia here, Roger could feel that the distance between them was closing.

Sonia was somewhere in the city...

Following the sense, Roger’s gaze landed on a cluster of towering structures in the city center.

But at this moment, Chachi’s expression turned grim.

As a Protector Dragon, although not the ruler of this nation, the authority he wielded was considerable to some extent.

Normally, he could use the teleportation array to bypass the city outskirts and directly enter the royal palace, and soon after, the King, upon receiving the news, would hasten to greet him.

But now?

He appeared in the bustling market!

This infuriated him. Casting a furtive glance at Roger, he saw no expression on his face.

The next moment, Chachi suddenly clenched his fist, and from the pinnacle of the royal palace in the distance, a massive stone statue abruptly opened its eyes.

It was a lifelike carved Giant Dragon. Roger noticed that the dragon’s form closely resembled Chachi’s shape when he had transformed.

The dragon shook off the stone debris covering its body and let out a deafening roar toward the sky.

Instantly, the entire city descended into chaos.

All the ordinary citizens stopped their work, turned to face the royal palace, and either knelt or bowed, chanting fervently.

Unlike the reverence of the commoners, the royal palace was in an uproar.

"Where is the King?"

A stunning woman in a rose-colored gown strode into the palace. Her steps were frantic, and her eyes were filled with terror.

"The King... His Majesty... He..."

"Move!"

The woman flung her slender arm out, and a surge of violent energy swept through the air, sending a trembling maid flying.

"Your Majesty..." Someone stammered.

"Where is the King?"

The woman in the rose-colored gown nearly jumped in frustration.

She seemed to hear the soaring and circling dragon overhead. Although it was merely a stone statue, the kingdom’s High Tier knights could easily shatter it.

But what terrified her was the real dragon.

Suddenly, the woman thought of something. She twisted a ring on her finger, and vivid green light shot into the air. A rift appeared out of thin air, widening into a large Light Gate.

Simultaneously, heavy panting echoed from the rift.

"Your Majesty, my dear Majesty..."

The woman’s tone had a tenderness that could melt steel.

"Do you like my gift?"

"It took great effort for my men to capture it outside the city. How does it compare? Surely better than your kingdom’s Dragonrock Horses?"

The man panted heavily as he spoke.

"Yes, Your Majesty, I love it. I love anything you gift me!"

"Haha!" The man laughed heartily, his tone filled with exuberance. But just then, a piercing scream shattered his eardrums and exploded in his mind.

"Get out!"

"Henry, get out now!"

The scream carried a powerful psychic wave. The man’s laughter fell silent, as though a gushing faucet had been abruptly turned off. His face flushed, then instantly paled.

Before he could react, a giant hand reached out and yanked him from the bed like pulling out a carrot, flinging him out of the Light Gate and onto the palace floor.

"Put on some clothes and follow me!"

Looking up, he was met with his mother’s blazing fury.

"Wha... What happened?"

Amid sudden upheavals, the man shuddered violently.

And wet the floor.

"He’s here."

"Who!?" The man asked, dazed and confused.

"The Protector, Chachi!"

Just as he clumsily started throwing clothes onto himself, a loud thunderclap came from the palace entrance, and two figures descended from the sky.

At the same time, the roaring circling from overhead ceased. The woman hastily pulled her son upright, paying no mind to the sticky mess on her hand, hurriedly wiping it off before bowing deeply.

"Esteemed Protector... Lighthouse of the Kingdom..."

"Mr. Geralt, what do you think of this place?"

To the Queen’s surprise, the man she considered immensely powerful was displaying an utterly humble demeanor toward the stranger beside him.

She was quite familiar with that expression. It resembled how she had once looked.

She cautiously stole another glance—tall, handsome, radiating an aura of unapproachable majesty.

"Who is he?"

Before she could think further, the air shook. Somewhere in the void was ripped apart in an instant. A horrifying energy surged forth, tearing open the concealed space.

She saw the man stretch out his hand, pulling a creature from the void.

"Hmm?"

Roger’s expression stiffened slightly. He froze momentarily, a flicker of confusion in his eyes.

"What... is this?"
