Chapter 877: Chapter 670 Hillrenes’s Deal

Roger brought Amanda back to the castle and, without any hesitation, used his Penetration ability to directly enter the Everworld after making the necessary preparations.

However, in just a short time, significant changes had occurred throughout the Everworld.

The corruption from the Land of Eternal Darkness had brought chaos and upheaval to the entire world, and its influence was continuing to expand, gradually infiltrating the real world.

Roger did not approach the Different Space where the Silver Dragon resided through the spatial rift beneath Qinglu Mountain. Instead, he returned to Hankawa.

The snow at the mountain’s summit had melted, and the once-majestic peak was no longer as imposing as before. Roger arrived at the withered Cherry Blossom Tree and silently took out the Black Moon.

Infusing power into the weapon in his hand, winds howled, and the heavy storm clouds appeared to be stirred by an invisible, giant hand.

The sky quickly darkened. The dense black clouds enveloped the entire space, and an unseen force wrapped around Hankawa from top to bottom.

Before long, the clouds parted, and a fearsome dragon’s head tore through the storm.

"We meet again."

The dragon’s head transformed into specks of shimmering light and disappeared back into the clouds. Moments later, a breathtakingly beautiful woman descended gracefully from the skies.

"It seems you’ve finally made up your mind," she said.

Hillrenes spoke.

Roger’s expression was heavy. "You anticipated long ago that I would come looking for you, and you have always known about Amanda’s hidden danger."

"Amanda... that Dragonborn’s name, is it? It seems she is very important to you."

Hillrenes offered a noncommittal response.

"What exactly do you know?" Roger asked.

His expression appeared calm, but in reality, he remained on full alert, tightening his grip on the Black Moon.

"The bloodline inheritance in that girl is incredibly pure, to an almost unimaginable degree."

"Her power is growing rapidly."

Roger nodded slightly.

He knew his own circumstances well; compared to him, Amanda seemed more like a transmigrator.

And now... everything had become uncertain.

"I’ve told you before, so-called bloodline inheritance is merely a façade. What is truly inherited—or, rather, what plays a decisive role—are the hidden rules behind the bloodline."

"These are the infiltrations and concretizations of powers from other worlds. In other words, the so-called Dragonborn inheritance doesn’t inherently belong to this world."

"The exact source is extremely complex, but all you need to know is that the Dragonborn are not exclusive to this world."

"This is a High Tier power and holds a relatively high rank among many inheritances."

Roger refrained from asking further questions and continued listening to Hillrenes’ explanation.

"The inheritance of the Dragonborn is so ancient that almost no one knows its origin. Across countless ages, fragments of this bloodline can be found in various worlds."

"As time passed, certain things naturally became preserved."

"In some special locations, the bloodline power of the Dragonborn intertwined, even forming independent spaces outside the seams of the worlds."

"Through these places, some Transcendents with Dragonborn bloodlines could even communicate across worlds before reaching the Fifth Tier."

Hillrenes’ words reminded Roger of that bizarre palace. Clearly, it was the special space the Silver Dragon had mentioned.

This also explained why Chachi had chosen different Bloodline Heirs as activation methods when departing that place.

It wasn’t something explainable by conventional logic; what determined the opening and closing of that space was the bloodline power of the Dragonborn.

In fact, it was quite easy to understand.

The traces of Dragonborn inheritances could be found across various worlds. Over countless ages, too many people had chosen similar evolutionary pathways.

Interwoven World Fragments had left marks in different worlds. Over time, under the influence of unknown factors, these marks converged, eventually concretizing those rules.

Thus, that special place came into being.

"That place is extraordinary. If the correct method of activation is found, two Transcendents with highly compatible bloodline powers can, even before reaching the Fifth Tier, engage in cross-space communication..."

"And exchange!"

"They cross the boundaries of space, swapping consciousnesses, and then, through entirely new experiences, explore the powers that don’t conform to the rules of their respective worlds."

"When it’s over, they return to their own worlds. That wondrous journey becomes immensely significant for both parties."

"To put it bluntly, as long as one solves the issue of lifespan, any Dragonborn with such an experience can enter the Fifth Tier effortlessly."

"They might even gain formidable strength from the very beginning!"

Roger’s expression shifted slightly. According to Hillrenes’ earlier statements, such abilities were indeed astonishing.

They could even bypass the risks associated with bodily and consciousness advents.

A physical advent would be heavily suppressed by the rules of another world, presenting immense risks, whereas a consciousness advent required merging with a new body.

While one might possess abundant experience, building strength from scratch involved too much uncertainty in the process of developing the consciousness entity. Even if several were cultivated simultaneously, it was highly likely they would end up wasting time.

Yet, the unique exchange among Dragonborn circumvented many issues. Surely, there were numerous constraints, such as bodily harm and disruptions to the life of the body’s owner.

If it was solely about experiencing and understanding the rules of a new world, it wasn’t necessary to engage in too much combat.

By exercising restraint and fulfilling each other’s needs, they could return to their own bodies afterward.

Roger chose not to ask about the specific process, but from any angle, it was clear that Amanda hadn’t opted for such an exchange.
