Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 322 - Chapter 322 Chapter 322 Wolf Grandmother

Chapter 322: Chapter 322: Wolf Grandmother Chapter 322: Chapter 322: Wolf Grandmother “Oh, kind sir, thank you for the reminder,” Valerie said as she reached up to her head and adjusted the displaced scalp back into place.

The whole process she went through was incredibly natural, as if she were straightening a hat that had been blown askew by the wind.

Watching the girl do all this, the muscles on Roger’s cheeks twitched.

“Doesn’t it hurt?”

No sooner had he spoken than Valerie, kneeling on the ground, suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood, the scarlet liquid dripping down her chin onto her chest.

Snowy white and bright red.

The two colors mixed together, strikingly conspicuous.

“It’s just too much…”

It was so exaggerated that Roger could not stand to watch, lifting the Cursed Sword in his hand.

“Put away your petty tricks, your spiritual power is too weak to affect me.”

Having said that, he raised his weapon high.

“Swoosh!”

But when the Cursed Sword came down, Roger struck nothing but air.

The Valerie who had been kneeling on the ground transformed into a wisp of blue smoke.

It was like teleportation.

When she reappeared, she was already under three White Oak Trees.

All the while, Valerie’s wounds were healing at a pace visible to the naked eye, as she tore off the ragged clothes, revealing her proud figure.

The next second, as if her blood had all congealed together, Valerie’s muscles and skin became dry and hard.

More than thirty centimeters of sharp claws emerged from her fingertips, and with a deep breath, a violent screech burst forth.

Roger stepped forward, wrapping his arms around Amanda and a gust of air swirled from his hands, quickly retreating backwards.

Under the moonlight, the transformation on Valerie’s body continued; she grew slenderer, yet her muscles became as tough as steel.

The nearly Full Moon provided her with endless strength while, from deep within the forest, a vague Dark Power infiltrated, seeping into every inch of her skin.

“Dear Grandma, I think you ought to get up from bed now, our guests are very vigilant.”

“Creak!”

A sound of splintering wood came from the hut, followed by a Werewolf wearing a white nightcap and a ridiculously patterned pajama breaking through the doorway.

It held a woman’s arm in its hand, the severed part devoid of much blood, and its ferocious jaws easily sliced through skin, muscle, and bone.

It turned out that the cracking sound heard earlier was not the breaking of wood but the crisp noise of this monster snapping the arm.

“Dear Valerie, next time please leave more blood for me, this woman lost too much, and tastes utterly bland.”

“Can you imagine?”

“I feel like I am chewing on a stick covered with tree sap.”

“Ptui, ptui, ptui!”

The monster complained, spitting out the nourishment-less bits of bone from its mouth.

“Alright, alright, you can pick one of these two first, but I hope you can be a bit more civilized, don’t make a mess while eating.”

“Our house is too run-down, and cleaning the floor takes a lot of time.”

The two monsters communicated effortlessly, completely disregarding Roger and Amanda.

A talking Werewolf?

Roger stared at the newly appeared creature, the image of these two reminded him of a fairy tale story, only unlike in the tales, they were filled with malice.

The Werewolf, despite its comical attire, was clearly eloquent and able to communicate freely, indicating that its rank was far above the cannon fodder Roger had encountered before.

He looked up at the nearly full Moon in the sky and couldn’t help but sigh.

“Why do I have to face a difficult level when playing the same instance?”

“I like that red-haired girl.”

“She looks so fair and tender, she must taste delightful.”

The werewolf bit by bit stuffed the woman’s arm into its maw until only the last finger remained.

On that finger, Amanda saw a ring that once belonged to Inola.

“Then I’ll take care of this man,” she said.

“Right, when you eat up that girl later, remember to leave her head for me.”

“I love the color of her hair, it’s just beautiful,” Valerie chuckled.

Roger scrutinized her closely, a face similar to that of a beautiful human woman, incredible speed, and a body that could turn into a wisp of smoke…

All these signs nearly matched those of a creature recorded in the Monster Manual.

Vampire Banshee, a low-tier vampire monster. They roamed for long periods through desolate villages and ruined towns.

They liked to tempt men on their travels and then, when these men’s excitement peaked and their blood flowed fastest, killed them and sucked every last drop of liquid from their bodies.

Yes, every single drop.

Including that impressively abundant Life Essence.

“Be careful later and try to stay behind me as much as possible,” Roger cautioned Amanda.

With his current strength, facing these two monsters shouldn’t be too hard, but considering Amanda, Roger had to increase the battle’s pace and end the fight as swiftly as possible.

He narrowed his eyes slightly, focusing on the slender Valerie. This woman’s speed was very fast, posing a greater danger to Amanda.

Just as he was thinking this, Valerie, standing under the White Oak Tree, burst into a puff of smoke, but the next second, Roger sidestepped.

“Swoosh!”

The Cursed Sword in his hand slashed out.

“Clang!”

A figure appeared in mid-air. Valerie blocked Roger’s attack with her sharp claws, but immediately afterward, her talons broke off one by one – the Sword Momentum of the Cursed Sword was unstoppable!

“Pfft!”

The sharp blade cut through nails and tore through steel-like skin, then traveled down Valerie’s forearm.

Splitting her half-arm in two!

With just one encounter, Valerie was badly injured by Roger!

“Quick, help me!” Valerie screamed. Her body started to turn ethereal, but before she could dissolve into smoke, a whip curled from the side.

Flames spread along the whip onto Valerie’s body. The woman screamed; she could barely tolerate the burning of these flames, but she hadn’t forgotten–the real threat was the man standing before her!

“Ah…!”

Valerie opened her mouth and let out a piercing wail. Then, astonishingly, she gave up resisting and let Amanda’s whip pull her away.

“I’ll kill this girl first, then…”

Amanda’s eyes burned with flames. She raised her head high, as the pride flowing in her veins nearly surged out of her body.

The next second, the color of the flames on Amanda changed.

The temperature wasn’t scalding hot, but the flung Valerie screamed with agony.

Amanda raised her free hand high, as a faint light shot out from her fingertips.

“Bang!”

Before even getting close, a transparent hole appeared in Valerie’s forehead. Amanda’s red hair billowed, her aura surging.

In that moment, she resembled an elf of fire, unrestrainedly unleashing the wildness and dominance in her bloodline!

It had to be admitted, at that time, Amanda not only exuded beauty but also a special charm.

All of this happened so fast; from Valerie launching her attack to her death at Amanda’s hands, the whole process took only a few seconds.

At that moment, the werewolf, still wearing its ridiculous nightcap, had only managed to cover half the distance.

Seeing Valerie slain, it immediately turned with agility that belied its size and bolted toward the wooden cabin behind it!
