Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 321 - Chapter 321 Chapter 321 Miss Your Hat Fell Off

Chapter 321: Chapter 321 Miss, Your Hat Fell Off Chapter 321: Chapter 321 Miss, Your Hat Fell Off “Inola and I were students of the same period; the only thing between us was competition.”

Amanda’s facial features gradually became rigid as she had underestimated the malevolence of human nature. She had been mentally prepared to face blame for the sake of accompanying Roger in Blair County

However, what she hadn’t anticipated was Inola’s ruthlessness. She and Rober appeared in the Sipigeng’s territory, making their intentions clear without saying a word.

“They might have succeeded already. That cunning creature has fled elsewhere.”

Roger concentrated his mind, activated Hunter Vision, and carefully examined the traces around them.

“I don’t think so.”

“Based on the residual traces, there seems to have been an unexpected development; they may not have left yet.”

Roger looked at Amanda.

“We still have a chance!”

“Your eyes?!”

“Just a little trick of a Demon Hunter.”

Amanda didn’t ask further; through previous communications, she had learned that Roger was likely not an ordinary Demon Hunter.

This man, who had suddenly entered her and her mother’s life, must be harboring many secrets.

But that wasn’t important.

“Follow me!”

Roger led Amanda deeper into the forest, but even with his heightened senses, he failed to notice the gradual change in the environment around them.

The night grew darker, and although it wasn’t a full moon, it had just waned from being full.

“Awoo…”

Howls resonated from the depths of the forest, interspersed with a woman’s shouting.

“Is that Inola?”

The two exchanged glances. “Could they be fighting the Sipigeng?”

Following the sounds, Roger and his companion hastened through the jungle and scaled a hill to find a woman at the end of the road below, struggling in agony.

Her clothes were torn, her body riddled with wounds, and the darkness did not impede Roger’s vision; he could even see a deep, bone-revealing claw mark on the woman’s back.

“It’s not Inola; could it be one of the Non-Human Race living deep in the forest?”

The two communicated verbally but didn’t slow their pace. Seeing the Werewolves surrounding the woman, Amanda’s face showed no sign of panic.

When they were still at a distance, a flame rose from Amanda’s fingertips, then the fire shot out like an arrow.

Hisss!

The sound of slicing wind accompanied the fire arrow as it found its mark in the eye socket of a Werewolf, and Amanda closed her fist slightly.

“Explode!”

With a loud boom, the Werewolf’s head burst like a shattered watermelon, sending brain matter and bone fragments scattering, some still sparking with firelight.

Roger glanced at Amanda, surprised; the red-haired girl’s strength was far beyond his expectations.

Amanda’s attack attracted some of the Werewolves who, under the moonlight, seemed more frenzied and aggressive than usual.

The beasts, using hands and feet, hurled themselves crazily towards Amanda, their mouths agape, and their crimson pupils exuding cruelty. The foul stench hit them long before the creatures drew near.

“I’ll hold them off!”

Roger stepped forward in front of Amanda. Despite how imposing the red-haired girl had appeared with her last attack, obliterating a monster with one blow,

she had only just become Transcendent, and her means of attack were relatively limited. Fine in a one-on-one scenario, but if surrounded, her divided attention could mean getting close to the beasts and inevitably being wounded.

Amanda raised an eyebrow, “I’m not as weak as you imagine!”

The next second, the flames on her hands spread over her body, engulfing her in fire. With a flick of her wrist, a fiery red whip dropped to the ground.

The whip seemed to be made of a special kind of snakeskin, its densely packed scales merging into a formidable weapon. As Amanda raised her hand, the flames from her body transferred to the whip in her grasp.

“Snap!”

Amanda whipped it in mid-air, and the whip, originally only 1.5 meters long, suddenly extended in the wind and continued to spread, skillfully wrapping around the neck of a Werewolf.

The next moment, the edges of the whip exploded with snake scales that pierced the Werewolf’s neck like blades.

The fire traveled along the wound and into the Werewolf’s body. The creature screamed and reached for the whip coiled around its neck.

But just at that moment, Amanda yanked hard, and the huge wolf head was torn off; the blood had not even started spurting before the surrounding flames sealed it.

Amanda had just dealt with one monster, and the other four had already charged forward.

“Leave it to me,”

Roger charged at the swarm of monsters coming at him.

The Cursed Sword, unbeknownst to Amanda, was already in his hand, one step, one sword; with Lightness in his steps, in the darkness, Amanda couldn’t see the flash of the sword.

She didn’t even hear a sound, but when Roger breezed through the encirclement of monsters as if strolling in a court-

anguished screams followed behind him.

Puh puh puh!

Blood gushed like a fountain.

The remaining four monsters were all split in two under Roger’s slashes.

This weapon was far sharper than the previously used Fang of Evil.

Just then, a strange Energy flowed into the blade from the darkness, Roger’s wrist trembled slightly, and looking down, he saw the black smoke on the blade seems to have thickened.

“Soul Shards?”

Roger suppressed the bloodthirsty urge in his heart; this eerie weapon had already started to affect the mind of its holder.

With swift movements, with Amanda’s help, Roger easily killed the remaining monsters.

During the whole process, Amanda didn’t even have a chance to strike.

She looked at Roger with some surprise; seeing is believing, this man’s strength was indeed beyond her expectations.

“What happened here?”

The red-haired girl didn’t rashly step forward to help the woman on the ground; she stood not far from Roger’s side, maintaining a safe distance.

The woman on the ground struggled to lift her head; her body was covered with numerous wounds, and her shredded clothes were almost entirely soaked with blood.

“Who are you… who are you?”

“My name is Valerie, I’m a hunter from a nearby village.”

The woman in front of her seemed as if she could faint at any moment.

“Are you with that pair of men and women from before?”

Valerie asked.

“Who are you talking about?”

“A man named Rober and a woman from Inola.”

“Where are they?”

Roger suddenly asked.

The woman made an effort to sit up straight; her tattered clothes couldn’t hide her exposed skin, especially the bust in front, which nearly jumped into Roger’s view.

Valerie’s gaze shifted toward Roger.

“Thank you, thank you for saving me.”

“Could you help me up?”

Roger frowned; he sensed a slight anomaly in his mind, and while holding his sword, he stood still without moving.

“Please help me.”

The woman was in tears, water streaming down her face, “My grandmother is still inside the house, and there are more monsters than just these!”

Upon hearing her words, Amanda’s expression changed, and she looked toward the house standing by three White Oak Trees not far away, involuntarily gripping her whip tighter.

“Roger…”

Roger cleared his throat and slowly approached Valerie, as the woman heaved her chest, breathing rapidly.

But just when she thought the man in front of her would pick her up, she heard him leisurely say:

“Miss, your scalp has fallen off.”

“Doesn’t that hurt?”
