Chapter 304: 125. Embarrassed Fate_2
This is it!
Fisher’s eyes slightly brightened as he had evidently found what he was looking for.
The ledgers in front only had data corresponding to the income storage, but the work instruction manual that followed truly confirmed what the Healing Room was doing and why they were purchasing dead and living humans...
"Skin Care Human Oil: Main material required young Human living body, auxiliary materials include Tinege Muscle Water, Willow Tears, Wood Spirit Essence Powder."
"Step One: Boil intensively, mix materials and cook for 144 hours, temperature must be constantly maintained"
"Step Two: Open pot to cool down and remove bones, then close"
"Step Three: Add human corpses again, lower the temperature by half, add Kamala coagulant"
"...."
As Fisher held the work instruction manual, his brows deeply furrowed. Behind him, the buzzing sound was incessant as numerous eyes passed Mr. Fisher and stared intently at the Nali Gentleman reading the book.
It turned out that the skincare products provided by the Healing Room to the Nali Ladies were crafted from human bodies, no wonder all the ladies were enamored with this "natural skincare method" that did not involve Magic, and the results were surprisingly good.
A chilling feeling rose in his heart, but Fisher’s actions did not stop; he just continued to read the remaining content.
The work instruction manual was printed, detailing how the Healing Room conducted the human body refining process. Several experiment records followed, Fisher casually flipped through the top one, which still held specific experimental data...
Fisher sighed in relief, knowing this was the "damning evidence" he needed, but behind him, Kachina had noticed Fisher reading the concealed records in the Healing Room. Enraged, she instantly dispersed into a dense cloud of black bugs, overwhelming the shelves layer by layer as they headed towards Fisher and his group.
Visibly, the metal shelves and experimental equipment corroded and toppled in the instant the swarm crossed. Fisher watched helplessly as Moli tried to block the swarm with her hands. His face slightly changed color as he embraced the stack of evidence, yet with his hand, he quickly tackled Moli to the ground, avoiding the swarm’s attack.
"That hurts..."
Moli rubbed her head, while Fisher slowly drew a playing card marked with a black and white Joker from his bosom. As Fisher’s Magic Circuit activated, the Joker Card also gradually lit up with layers of red glow.
Dragon-man Magic, "Fermat Baha Dragon Flame"
Fisher was quick, throwing the Dragon Flame when the swarm turned mid-air, then he quickly dragged Moli away from where they had been standing.
"Boom!"
"Ah, ah, ah, ah!"
A searing shockwave burned through the mid-air swarm, igniting a path to Kachina at the source, making her continuously emit painful screams, the sound resonating as if she were dancing in flames.
In Fisher’s eyes, although the fire was fierce enough to blacken the nearby walls, it seemed to bring Kachina nothing but pain, without any substantial damage.
The bugs were dying or getting injured, countless turning into ash-like embers, then quickly rejuvenating as if hatching anew from the void, standing one by one...
Useless?
The on-the-spot resurrection shocked Fisher, leaving him bewildered as to whether the figure before him still belonged to the category of living organisms.
Just as he was at a loss, the corner of his eye suddenly caught a faint red arrow on the side of the work instruction manual he had just read. The arrow, seemingly hand-drawn, guided those who saw it to turn to the page it pointed to.
"I am, Undying!"
Kachina’s frantic voice broke the crisis. As Moli’s eyes filled with black water spread again, she slowly raised a finger at Kachina, but Fisher held her in place.
He quickly opened the work instruction manual to the page the little arrow indicated, only to find that the last page appeared to be stuck together with glue. If not for the arrow, it might have been difficult to discern that there was content on the last page.
Effortlessly, Fisher tore open the glued page, revealing lines of text written in red ink, speaking in someone’s voice,
"Hey, Mr. Fisher, this is a little help from your friend."
Reading this, Fisher’s gaze flickered, myriad thoughts surged in his mind, but he forced himself to read what the mysterious person had written below,
"The thing you see before you is a type of Alchemy, also known as Name of the artifact creation method. The underlying principle is actually using a soul to create an artifact, and that artifact is the essence of Kachina’s perpetual summoning of flesh bugs. What you are seeing now is not Kachina herself but rather an assembly of bugs created by the artifact, so your attacks on her are ineffective."
"This biological artifact typically takes the form of a container, inside which a complex nutritive liquid sustains a part of their true form. Destroy these container artifacts, and your crisis will also be resolved."
