Chapter 305: 125. Embarrassed Fate_3

"The hints stop here, I wish you good luck, your friend leaves."

Canned relic?

At this moment, Fisher seemed to suddenly understand the principle behind that relic.

He remembered what he had read in the Soul Completion Manual about the nature of the soul, which is "independent fragmentation." If a part separated from the main entity could survive, the fragmented soul within that part could gradually grow into a complete entity!

And those people in the Healing Room, whether it was Kachina or the Kraken he had encountered earlier, were actually not their real entities, but merely empty shells created by the relic and controlled by their souls.

No wonder they had so many physiological changes, because essentially they weren’t alive, all of them were fanciful items created by the relic.

But where exactly were the jars containing their true entities?

Fisher suddenly remembered the position where he had got this operational manual. The book had been upside-down on the shelf, and if that was the case, the arrow on the side of the book not only pointed to the last page glued together but also to the back wall of this secret chamber...

Really?

"Mr. Fischer, Flames won’t work on her, let me use the power of the curse..."

"No, Moli, come with me."

With this speculative guess, Fisher stood up, taking Moli with him, holding his Fluid Sword in his hand. The mercury-composed blade adapted to his will, slowly morphing into a huge hammer. He ran towards the back wall of the secret chamber, followed by a swarm of insects traversing through the flames, emitting a high-frequency "buzz."

"You! Damn!"

Kachina’s voice from behind was barely recognizable as human; it sounded more like a banshee screeching a curse, but Fisher didn’t stop. He abruptly raised the huge hammer and slammed it against the front wall.

"Thud!"

The entire secret chamber began to tremble, and a large hole was hammered into the wall by Fisher, which turned out to be hollow inside...

It really was here!

Following Moli’s astonished gaze, inside the dark space were dozens of small jars covered with cloth that flickered with fluorescence; clearly, these were the "Biological Alchemical Relics" mentioned by the mysterious person.

"No!"

The insects behind responded and turned into tangible arms trying to stop Fisher’s actions, but Fisher had already lifted the weapon, now reformed into the Fluid Sword Blade, and without any hesitation, he swept across the shelves filled with jars and bottles.

"Clang, clang..."

The sound of liquid and pottery shattering followed Fisher’s sweeping action in the dark space, and continuous, surreal, and mournful screams echoed, reminiscent of ghosts being raided by the police at a den, the painful noise causing both Fisher and Moli to cover their ears.

Especially for Moli, as a member of the Whale-man Species who could hear lower frequency sounds, such shrill and high-pitched screams were particularly unfriendly to her.

At that moment outside the Healing Room, the personnel, escorted by the Royal Guard, suddenly stiffened. Under the astonished gaze of Dexter, Lunxis, and many members of the Royal Guard, they painfully turned into withered ashes and vanished in place.

This eerie scene frightened everyone around, only Dexter seemed to realize something, giving a meaningful glance at the now very quiet Healing Room and then glanced at Lunxis, who was standing still before slowly walking back to his carriage.

Beside Dexter’s carriage, a lady in a white dress gave him a slight bow and softly said,

"Brother..."

"Mhm, you worked hard tonight, take Lunxis back to the Golden Palace. I have many questions to ask him, especially about this Healing Room!"

Dexter said before snorting coldly and sitting in the carriage.

Waiting for Lunxis to be secured in the back seat of the carriage, Dexter would take off, meaning that he had completely entrusted the investigation of the Healing Room to Elizabeth, obviously because he knew Fisher was still inside gathering evidence.

Watching her brother get into the carriage, Elizabeth’s empty golden eyes turned to Lunxis, who was subdued by the soldiers; his expression unclear in the moonlight.

Elizabeth sighed slightly and slowly approached Lunxis, speaking to him,

"Lunxis, you have made a grave mistake, and still, you do not repent; will you apologize to our brother?"

Hearing Elizabeth’s words, Lunxis just pursed his lips but remained silent and immobile.

Watching his silent demeanor, Elizabeth gently patted his shoulder, then softly advised,

"When you return, listen attentively to our brother’s words, be a cooperative younger brother; he will forgive you, and your life will not change because of this... you should be grateful to him, understand?"

After saying this, Elizabeth left with a breeze of fragrance, heading toward the Healing Room, leaving only the two soldiers escorting Lunxis toward the carriage.

However, they all missed that Lunxis’s body began to tremble slightly at Elizabeth’s words. He fiercely raised his head, staring at the carriage, his eyes filled with deep-seated hatred...

Honor, oh honor...

What a righteous Elder Prince he indeed is...

When did even his own life, everything he has, come to depend on his charity? Just because he was born earlier, and the King chose him not himself?

Damn it! Damn this unfair fate!

Lunxis was forcefully stuffed into the extended back seat of the carriage, a small compartment originally designed to increase carriage capacity. Considering balance, the compartment was very cramped, typically a place for servants and attendants...

The cramped space and restricted freedom mirrored Lunxis’s fate, as confined as it was.
