Chapter 224: Forced to take hostage 3

She suddenly yanked the Handcane she held in her hand. A tremendous force transferred along the Spinner, tearing the street lamp and the building wall behind her, causing them to crack and fly toward the direction of the carriage.

Countless street lamps and stones were dragged toward her by the small figure of the Spinner, creating a shocking scene that alarmed not only the bystanders and the people from the Pink Hall but also Fisher, who was hiding in the shadows. He hadn’t expected Moli’s strength to be so immense.

He squinted and saw, under the cloak that covered her body, Moli’s proud softness had shrunk once more, indicating she had entered her Battle State.

He couldn’t figure out what the Whale-man Species’s Battle State meant. Was it only Moli who shrank, or did all of the Whale-man Species do the same?

What about the male Whale-men?

If they couldn’t shrink their chests, could they only shrink other areas?

Thinking this, Fisher covered his face with his hands, stopping his needless thoughts.

He raised his Fluid Sword, aiming at the carriage below, quietly waiting for the moment to strike.

"Protect Lady Anna!"

"Come over here."

"Ugh!"

From outside the carriage came chaotic shouts. Several street lamps were being pulled toward the carriage, smashing it and sending it tumbling and rushing away.

But before that, Anna had already leapt down from the carriage with Ling Jiu, who was enveloped in Protection Magic like a bubble. It looked a bit different from the one Fisher had used earlier, but it seemed very effective and portable.

Anna, pointing with one finger as if pulling a balloon, tugged Ling Jiu down and looked toward the cloaked figure on the street. She said to the people around her,

"That person might be an accomplice of this Ocean Subhuman, go, bring her back!"

"Yes!"

Several burly men pulled out fire guns and Short Swords from their coats and charged toward Moli, who stood in the road.

Many had left Anna’s side, and just as she was about to observe the battle situation, a silver flash came from the side, aiming directly at Anna’s hand holding Ling Jiu.

She quickly withdrew her hand, allowing the silver flash to cut through the link of Protection Magic between her and Ling Jiu. Ling Jiu landed on the ground as the magic still covered his body.

Behind, Fisher dashed quickly toward Ling Jiu, his gentleman’s hat perfectly covering his face. With the street lights gone, everyone could only see his fitted suit.

He was planning to take Ling Jiu away directly!

But Anna, faster to react than anyone, stepped in front of Ling Jiu and blocked Fisher’s attempt to take him.

Seeing he couldn’t take Ling Jiu directly, Fisher had to change his plan. In mid-air, he switched his move, grabbing Anna’s neck and landing behind her, securing his hold on her.

Moli had drawn away many people from the Pink Hall, but there were still many around Anna. Seeing Anna captured, they pointed their fire guns at Fisher, who was hidden behind Anna, ready to shoot if he dared to move.

"Release Lady Anna!"

Anna’s expression was icy cold, but a second later, her nose twitched, as if she had smelled something...

Then, she realized something, her gaze slightly trembling. She voluntarily controlled her body to move backward, pressing tightly against Fisher behind her. Her soft body’s curves perfectly molded against his, leaving virtually no space.

Fisher was quite surprised. To prevent any tricks, he pressed his Fluid Sword against her waist, but he soon realized why Anna had made her move.

Anna was quite tall, and this close contact made his slightly lowered gentleman’s hat and her shoulders form a perfect angle, completely hiding his face and preventing him from being recognized by others as they drew closer.

Feeling her pushing back, Fisher gave her an unexpected look, but only her fair, jade-like neck and her fragrant body were in his sight...

Fisher played along with her force, leaning back into the shadow beside the overturned carriage, simultaneously extending a hand to prevent others from approaching.

"Don’t move, or her life is at risk."

"Release Lady Anna!"

The situation had become a standoff, with Anna appearing extremely nervous, breathing rapidly.

Fisher seemed very calm. He lowered his head to look at Ling Jiu, still covered in magic, and whispered into Anna’s ear,

"Let him go, and I’ll let you leave."

Hot breath tickled Anna’s earlobe. She struggled in her expression, glanced back at the person behind her, but dared not move her head. Instead, she softly bit her lip and said,

"What if I say no?"

As her words fell, Fisher’s Fluid Sword twisted upward like a Water Snake, coiling around her neck and body,

"I could easily kill all of you and leave. I don’t mind trying one by one until the one casting the magic is killed and the magic is dispelled."

Anna pressed her lips together, remaining silent, her expression showing great conflict.

Unknown to others, she lightly placed her hand behind her back, and during this time, her fingers began nimbly inscribing words on the inner thigh of Fisher’s clothing.

Her fingers, green as scallions, moved across Fisher’s clothes, bringing a slight itch to Fisher. Hidden behind his gentleman’s hat, his expression subtly changed as he then focused on deciphering the words she wrote.
