Fisher frowned but hesitated for a second and made no further move...

He decided to wait and see what this guy was planning.

As she finished writing, Fisher also gently patted her waist, and then felt a sharp pinch on the inside of his thigh. The pain, along with the previous words, caused Fisher to go along with the plan and let go of her soft body.

Anna struggled to escape outside, but because she struggled so fiercely, she almost stumbled and fell. At the same time, she carelessly hit Fisher’s Fluid Sword with the bracelet on her wrist.

"Buzz buzz!"

The shrill sound of cutting echoed as her bracelet, glowing with Magic Radiance, was instantly severed, and the magic on Ling Jiu was dispelled.

Having returned to her original state, she cast an apologetic glance at the injured humans collapsed all around her. Although she hadn’t actually aimed to kill, she still silently said "sorry" and then ran off with Fisher along Snake Head Street.

They escaped so fast, they soon vanished from Anna’s sight.

Anna lay on the ground; without even wiping off the dust from her clothes, she got up, clenching her teeth as she looked at the mess-strewn street, unwillingly watching the direction of their escape, unable to choke out a single word.

A subordinate ran over and inquired with a bowed head,

"Lady Anna, should we pursue them..."

"Pursue what? Do you want to blow the lid off our search for the demi-human? Nobody cares inside Snake Head Street and nobody cares outside on Saint Nali Street either? Get the hell out and lift the carriage, clean up and let’s head back!"

"Yes..."

Following the order, some went to lift the carriage, others helped the subordinates Moli had knocked out to their feet. For a while, everyone was frantically busy.

Only Anna remained still, patting off the dust on her clothing, her gaze followed the direction Fisher and the others had fled, towards the exit of Snake Head Street.

In her view was the sky outside Snake Head Street.

Saint Nali’s moon was profound, yet a moonbeam broke through the clouds and fell directly onto the earth. The watery moonlight spread across the ground, pausing just before reaching Anna’s toes.

The entrance of Snake Head Street was chaotic because of the previous fight. The cleanup crew from Pink Hall, the thugs and junkies secretly watching from behind and on top of buildings...

Only Anna seemed detached from such chaos, just gazing at the pale moonlight, speechless for a long, long time. Then she raised her arm again, sniffed the masculine scent at her wrist—the scent of that man...

Her lips curled slightly, revealing a faint, secretive smile.

Once the subordinates had retrieved the horses and set the carriage upright, her expression instantly returned to the cold indifference of before, silently climbing into the carriage, visibly fuming.
