Chapter 4757: Chapter 3830: The School Doctor’s "Daily Routine" (8)
As everyone knows, to promote magic, a movie titled "Ilvermorny" was made. Overnight, it became a global sensation, and whether it was the three little protagonists or the supporting characters in it, everyone became famous overnight.
With the movie being so popular, a great script naturally deserves some credit. And to enhance the drama within, some people in the school were naturally set as antagonists.
Actually, it can’t be said they’re real antagonists, more like the protagonists’ arch-nemesis, like Malfoy in "Harry Potter." Although not a heinous villain, they would constantly create trouble in the protagonists’ lives.
These minor antagonists, although not utterly evil, needed a couple of tricks to highlight the protagonists’ wisdom and bravery, at least they should have some followers. These followers can only come from the same college, in "Harry Potter," they’re from Slytherin College, and in "Ilvermorny," they’re from Mercury College.
It’s been mentioned that this college produced many Black Magicians. The most famous one, the greatest antagonist in this series of movies, is also from this college. Furthermore, their smooth-talking and trickery behavior weren’t welcomed by the other three colleges.
All of this is movie fiction, not real-life scenarios. But in this world, there’s never a lack of fools who can’t distinguish reality from fiction.
After Spiritual Energy Recovery in the Nine Major Kingdoms, humans transformed from Non-magical Race to Low Magic Race. Ordinary people like Gwen, with exceptional talent, can also mobilize surrounding Power of Natural Elements. Although they can’t cast world-shaking magic, they can at least conjure up a fireball.
To ordinary people, this is already quite impressive with dreams of becoming a Grand Mage tomorrow. Having never encountered Demon Gods, they don’t realize their minor skills are insignificant compared to Demon Gods’ power, hence they disdain those from Mercury College who trick their way to power in movies even more.
Today, students from Neptune Academy arrived, and a few are influenced by movies. While Wanda was present, they restrained themselves; as soon as Wanda left, they began with sarcastic remarks, saying people from Mercury College don’t rely on their efforts but rather on deception, having malicious intent; claiming those who borrow Demon God’s power are traitors to humanity.
Actually, people from Mercury Academy initially didn’t bother to argue with them. Neptune Academy also didn’t take these absurd claims seriously; Batman from other universes, unfamiliar with prior context, couldn’t comprehend. But alas, there was Bruce in the academy who instantly got riled up.
Bruce, although a high-ranked angel, DC’s angels use the power bestowed by God, which is universal. He can utilize it here as well, and he had enough to teach a foul-mouthed teenager a lesson.
Primary Universe Batman and Arkham Batman knew Bruce’s prowess, and to prevent him from acting, they promptly stood out to stop the speaking teenager. As a result, young people not being impudent aren’t youthful; he used his barely learned magic to splash a basin of water on Primary Universe Batman.
Actually, it’s still nothing much; Primary Universe Batman wouldn’t mind. But what he shouldn’t have done was aim poorly, a water ball not only splashed on Primary Universe Batman but also on Arkham Batman.
In some way, Arkham Batman represents all players with perseverance, determination, perfect completion, and finishing all collection tasks. Such people won’t easily forget grudges.
He was about to act against this teenager from his academy when Bruce also joined in. The result was the two collided: Bruce was knocked down by a punch from Arkham Batman, and Arkham Batman was dazed by the Holy Light on Bruce and fell down. With this, how could both sides not start fighting?
"I swear I wanted to intervene," Primary Universe Batman said, "however, the situation got a bit too complicated."
Strange initially thought he was making excuses, but at this moment Jarvis brought the surveillance video over. Having watched the entire chaotic fight, Strange was speechless.
When Arkham Batman and Bruce started fighting, just when words couldn’t catch up with actions, Night Owl darted towards Bruce. Logically, they were from the same academy and had decent relations before, Night Owl was supposed to help Bruce fight Arkham Batman, and he did intend to do so.
But Bruce never plays by the rules; seeing Night Owl rushing towards him, he swiftly dodged behind Arkham Batman, then a Holy Light Strike struck Night Owl.
So at this point, having been double-crossed by Bruce, shouldn’t Night Owl team up with Arkham Batman to pummel Bruce?
But he didn’t, instead, he exerted force against Arkham Batman, and the two fought.
Night Owl couldn’t beat Arkham Batman, practically enduring nine punches every three seconds. Primary Universe Batman wanted to tackle Night Owl, but genuinely feared Arkham Batman might really kill him, even crippling him was unacceptable, thus he thought to intervene.
But Bruce held him back.
Just like that, he missed the precious opportunity to intervene, and Night Owl was promptly knocked down. Seeing Arkham Batman still intending to finish him off, Big Adventure Batman couldn’t sit still and quickly stepped in to obstruct.
Arkham Batman wasn’t truly intent on killing him; he merely wanted to throw this annoying guy out. But Big Adventure Batman wasn’t aware, staunchly preventing him from approaching.
Meanwhile, Bruce charged up to stand alongside Big Adventure Batman against Arkham Batman. Arkham Batman had this urge to punch Bruce whenever he saw him, hence despite facing two opponents, he didn’t fall behind at all.
Arkham Batman swiftly knocked down Big Adventure Batman, and while pursuing Bruce, Bruce hid behind Primary Universe Batman. Primary Universe Batman wished to avoid fighting Arkham Batman and had no choice but to retreat.
But let’s not forget, Mercury College still had the sarcastic master Injustice Batman. When the youth criticized their college earlier, he was already simmering with rage. Could he let Arkham Batman be so arrogant from Neptune Academy?
Thus, he formed an alliance with Bruce to confront Arkham Batman together. At this moment, Night Owl also got up from the ground, and the three ganged up against Arkham Batman like playing a boss battle.
Primary Universe Batman seeing this three against one being rather unfair feared Arkham Batman might really lose against Night Owl’s side and had no choice but to join the fray.
Big Adventure Batman, being from Primary Universe Batman’s faction, seeing Primary Universe Batman join had to participate too. The two sides thus confronted each other.
What about other academy members? They’re young but not blind; Arkham Batman’s punches left afterimages, and no one was his match for even one round. They hadn’t learned magic yet, who would dare to confront him?
So the situation came to a standstill. And then Strange and the others arrived.
It was not difficult to see that there was a key figure in this melee; without him, the scene wouldn’t have been so lively.
Strange squinted his eyes at Bruce.
"Don’t you have anything to say?" Strange asked as he looked at him.
"What do I have to say? I’m the victim!" Bruce wiped the corner of his mouth and said, "It was that person who insulted our academy first."
"Then why don’t you hit him? Why hit others?"
Shiller quickly tugged on Strange’s sleeve. Strange reflected for a moment and realized what he said wasn’t appropriate; after all, he was the principal and shouldn’t encourage students to fight.
But actually, Shiller just didn’t want Strange to expose the essence of the Supreme Magician too early. He was still counting on Strange to use profound magic knowledge to stall the Batmen.
"I didn’t mean to hit others," Bruce said. "It’s just that both of us wanted to hit him, and then we bumped into each other. I thought he was going to hit me, so I just retaliated."
"Then why did you hit him when he was helping you?" Strange pointed at Night Owl.
"I had a little grudge with him before, and I was afraid he’d trick me."
"And you have no grudge with him?" Strange pointed at Arkham Batman.
"I have grudges with all of them, so didn’t I deal with the strongest one first?"
"Then why did you drag him into it?" Strange pointed at Primary Universe Batman.
"He’s the second strongest here, so he could deal with the strongest. I just wanted to find him to protect me."
"Why did you eventually team up with them to fight against them?" Strange first pointed at Night Owl and then at Primary Universe Batman.
"We’re from the same academy!" Bruce raised his voice, "It was Neptune Academy that insulted us first! Of course, I have to help my fellow students against them! Otherwise, wouldn’t I be a traitor?"
Strange slapped his forehead. He realized that campus bullying indeed existed in the school: Bruce was bullying everyone.
"Spread out! Go back to your seats!" Strange roared. Seeing that he was really angry, everyone obediently returned to their seats.
"I must emphasize to you, this is a school, not a martial field, nor a trench. You should help each other, be harmonious and friendly, not seize every opportunity to fight!"
"Here he comes, here he comes," Bruce, even though he didn’t dare to move, didn’t keep his mouth shut, "The teacher who slaps both sides with fifty strokes and muddles through in bullying incidents is here."
After saying that, he gave a look to Injustice Batman not far away. Injustice Batman said with a calm expression: "Classic setup. Next, I’m afraid after class, an insignificantly seeming student will wait at the door to tell us not to mess with the bully because he’s the principal’s relative..."
Strange was so exasperated by the two of them that his head buzzed.
"You! Stand up!" Strange shouted at the teenager who swore earlier, "Why did you insult another academy?!"
"That’s how it’s in the movies," the other party said aggrievedly, "This academy has produced so many Black Magicians, I’m just stating a fact..."
But the Batmen exchanged a look.
The Batmen didn’t know that this school had only been established a short time, with a school history of less than two years. Seeing the intentionally aged marks on the castle, they assumed it had been around for at least a few hundred years, where some dark history would be normal.
They naturally took what this teenager said seriously — that this Mercury Academy had indeed produced many Black Magicians, leading many people to hold prejudices against them now.
And as for the so-called movie, they understood it as a documentary or an adapted film kind of thing. After all, if the magic culture had a long history, then it would be normal for some literary works to record these phenomena.
Most importantly, look at the people admitted to this academy. Other ordinary people they didn’t know about, but didn’t they know Night Owl, Bruce, and Injustice Batman like the back of their hands?
The Batmen from Neptune Academy exchanged a look, conveying the meaning, "This Mercury Academy surely has something wrong."
