Chapter 513: Chapter 451 Yokozuna
```
After a night of bloody chaos, companies of any substantial size were already aware of the situation.
The war reports were startling, Nestor Corporation had dealt a heavy blow to the New Xisheng, causing the brand value of New Xisheng to shrink rapidly. Stock trends had plummeted continuously, and investors within the exchanges of various continents were selling off New Xisheng assets in droves, leading to financial losses exceeding 400 billion—an amount comparable to New Xisheng’s battlefield losses.
Famously under New Xisheng’s umbrella, Enomoto Bank was experiencing a run on its funds. Citizens of Shangjing City frantically withdrew their money, and no bank could bear the brunt of such a massive withdrawal, Enomoto Bank included.
Now in dire straits, the bank attempted to close building entrances and control the flow of account funds while issuing feeble condemnations toward Nestor Corporation.
In the district governed by Heavenly Cardinal Manufacturing, Guangnan Prefecture.
Within the private relaxation area of the high-rise building, a Jade Automaton approached the sleeping pod, gently waking its master inside. Accompanied by a nearly silent electronic hum, the pod’s lid opened, and Lu Sizhou sat up.
She wore only a sheer undergarment, light as a feather, and the adequate sleep with quality robotic service kept her in good spirits.
To manage Xia’s mega-corporation, she had to be ever vigilant and energetic, maintaining her physiological condition at its peak.
Lu Sizhou glanced at the time—it was just past seven in the morning.
"An hour earlier than scheduled," Lu Sizhou leaned on the edge of the pod, looking at the Jade Automaton that had awakened her.
"Nestor Corporation has declared war on New Xisheng Group," the Automaton reported with loyalty. Its counterpart, docile in nature, approached with a jade tray in hand, preparing morning necessities for Lu Sizhou.
"A small-scale military venture?" Lu Sizhou got up to wash and dress.
"A full-blown corporate war," the Jade Automaton reported, "All military forces launched a surprise attack."
Lu Sizhou pondered briefly, moving Nestor Corporation’s affair to the top of her watch list.
She had dealt with Nestor Corporation several times, and while she couldn’t say she harbored good feelings for them, their operational efficiency and armed forces left a deep impression.
It was like what happened in Silla, with Wei Shiyue ultimately joining Nestor Corporation and serving its interests, giving Lu Sizhou the first feeling in her life of being played.
Lu Sizhou looked at her reflection in the mirror: she was never quite satisfied with herself, always a little short, especially when it came to taking over Heavenly Cardinal Manufacturing.
"Once our battle in the Pendulum Archipelago is over, we will intervene," Lu Sizhou said as she put on her makeup, "It will take some effort for Nestor Corporation to defeat New Xisheng."
"I’m afraid it’s too late, Miss Lu," the Jade Automaton hesitated momentarily before relaying, "Nestor Corporation has already encircled Shangjing."
"Rash," said Lu Sizhou, her hands moving steadily as she spoke, "placing their troops in such a dangerous position; they will be destroyed by the Orochi."
"... The Orochi has avoided battle," whispered the Jade Automaton, "The NCER nuclear weapons base has been captured, the naval fleet on Shangjing Bay has been scorched, and the Chika Island has suffered an attack, the state of affairs is unknown. New Xisheng’s regular forces sustained severe losses, and the combat has been fierce."
Lu Sizhou looked at her reflection, an unusual expression flitted across her face, something the Jade Automaton had never seen before.
She walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window, observing the light of dawn casting its glow among the high-rise buildings of Guangnan Prefecture, creating myriad bright spots on the side of the buildings. The architectural style of Heavenly Cardinal Manufacturing adhered to the concept of harmony between heaven and man, where natural landscapes complemented modern architectural craftsmanship, with secluded retreats, terraces, and modern gardens visible everywhere—a livelier sight than the traditional corporate cities.
Military shuttle machines whizzed past overhead, patrolling the skies to maintain safety, ensuring that the war raging in the Eastern Hemisphere wouldn’t affect the daily life in Guangnan Prefecture.
"At this rate, New Xisheng Group will surrender within seven days," Lu Sizhou mused. Unlike Xia, the Northern Archipelago lacked vast strategic depth; once key hubs were critically damaged, a business could not endure.
"According to intelligence we’ve obtained through espionage," the Jade Automaton spoke, "New Xisheng’s leadership has already begun to waver."
"What’s the stance of Kyushu High Pavilion?" Lu Sizhou turned around.
"I am not able to surmise their thoughts," the Jade Automaton said cautiously, "But I think they might see this as an opportunity, a chance to definitively drive Xisheng influence out of Xia."
Driving out Xisheng. Lu Sizhou nodded.
Sharp-witted Honma Noriko had already exerted capital pressure on Xia’s two mega-corporations in earlier years, creating groups within that were intertwined with Xisheng’s interests. To completely take control, Lu Sizhou had always suppressed their development, and now, had even more reason to completely eradicate them.
If one were to ingratiate themselves with New Xisheng now, it would only encourage them to be more arrogant. Lu Sizhou reflected. But is Nestor Corporation really a suitable partner?
Perhaps there really is an opportunity.
```
Lila Nestor was a potential collaborator, prudent and wise. Lu Sizhou had conducted business conferences with her before and had an excellent impression of her.
Due to being tied up in the corporate battles, Heavenly Cardinal Manufacturing lacked the strength to interfere with the Archipelago situation, and Nestor Corporation was advancing irresistibly. In such circumstances, it was appropriate to curry favor with the potential winner, or at least to not worsen the relationship with them.
...Xisheng Investment Group’s prestige had run rampant in the Eastern Hemisphere for too long and now appeared repulsive. It might be time to completely root out this withered vine. Without Honma Noriko, Lu Sizhou saw none of Xisheng’s remaining children as worthy opponents.
Moreover, she had a bridge to establish a good relationship with Nestor Corporation.
"Has Lu Jing still not passed the loyalty test?" Lu Sizhou inquired of another Jade Automaton.
"Nearly a perfect score on the written exam, but failed the psychological assessment," reported the Jade Automaton. "Now graded C-level."
"Then let this C-level Witch take a gift to the Northern Archipelago, arriving before noon. Maybe she’ll even catch the tail end of the battle," Lu Sizhou said as he read the detailed report. "They’re advancing too quickly, not giving us any chance to slip through. And the so-called Ancient Witch..."
They had not yet achieved a decisive victory on the battlefield over Black Fire Innovation, all because of that "Huang Feng."
A new model Witch under the code T01, a "Child of Phantom Light," was formidable on the battlefield. Probably because of Huang Feng’s Command Reality, even though T01’s own magic power was hardly worth mentioning, the troops that engaged with it still suffered an almost causal certainty of defeat.
Ancient Witch against Command Reality, Lu Sizhou thought to himself. Which side would win?
"The status of Orochi and Chika Island is clear," Lu Sizhou pursued the topic. "What about Yokozuna?"
"The latest report—" the Jade Automaton began to collect information. "It’s been intercepted! By a Witch... all by herself!"
Elsewhere, against the backdrop of the azure sky above the sea, the dominant Yokozuna was approaching Anjiu City.
This heavy space mothership was renowned for the thickness of its armor, which sacrificed mobility for superior material strength compared to other motherships.
Now, the Yokozuna slowed down. In the distance, a Witch clad in black armor and a Ghost Face held a large spear, her body draped in Iron Wings. She stood alone against the colossal space mothership.
"Come at me if you dare!" Pan Ruiyi swung the Star-Chasing Spear in her hand, declaring loudly, "You shall not pass this point!"
Facing that formidable Battle Witch with an air of a specter, Yokozuna’s energy main cannon immediately began to move slowly, targeting Pan Ruiyi’s figure, locking on tightly.
"Main Laser Cannon ready to fire," the fire control officer reported to the captain. "Limited hit probability! Only 1.7%"
"Full firepower, destroy her," commanded the captain.
All the joysticks on the control panel were operated at once, as Yokozuna’s densely packed array of gun platforms and missile launch systems roared to life. Thousands of blazing flames burst forth from the ship, launching simultaneously towards Pan Ruiyi.
Included among them was the terrifying assault of the Main Laser Cannon, which with an ominous humming sound, a super-giant crimson beam shot towards Pan Ruiyi. It could easily destroy the Eternal Fortifications or bring down spacecraft, its destructive power was astounding!
Pan Ruiyi quickly engaged the Iron Wings to swoop downward, while forcefully throwing the Star-Chasing Spear at Yokozuna.
Without looking to see where her spear landed, she drew close to the sea’s surface as missiles and gunfire exploded behind her, whipping up towering waves!
The sea boiled continuously, driving Pan Ruiyi to the bottom, where she frantically fled in fear, shivering as the surging waves rocked her back and forth. This was the overwhelming power of a full assault from a warship!
When the series of deafening explosions finally ended, the sea’s surface was littered with broken shells and gunpowder.
Pan Ruiyi swam through the stinking seawater back to the surface, looking up at Yokozuna only to see her Star-Chasing Spear lodged in its bow. She immediately raised her hand to recall the spear, seeing it had left a two-meter wide crater on the surface of Yokozuna’s alloy armor, unable to damage the ship itself.
The water warships meant to support the airborne mothership had mostly been destroyed by Wei Shiyue, and the remainder were incapable of escort, leaving Yokozuna alone to contend with Pan Ruiyi on the ocean’s surface.
To continue the attack, she had to find an opportunity, Pan Ruiyi clenched her teeth, holding the Star-Chasing Spear, leaped out of the water, using the Iron Wings to propel herself to a vulnerable spot beneath the hull, and hurled the spear towards the noisy engine room!
Bang!
Another heavy strike, the spear tip pierced the metal shell, causing some cracking. She quickly recalled the spear, preparing for another stab.
She can’t seem to breach this giant can, Pan Ruiyi worried.
Until a clear dragon’s roar sounded from the sky... Wei Shiyue! Seeing the reinforcements arrive, Pan Ruiyi’s morale was bolstered as she waved her spear upward for another attack!
