Chapter 295: Chapter 267: Collapse

The space mothership operated at full speed!

It dragged Yama through the crack into the real world! Countless phase demons flickered and rose, leaping through the giant fissure and invading reality.

Above Anjiu City, the Martinez appeared abruptly, its shadow covering a large area of the city.

"Jump to Anjiu City!" the witch shouted loudly, "There’s a deviation!"

"Proceed as planned!" the captain commanded, his voice trembling with barely contained joy.

The Martinez had targeted Shangjing with the 6 long-range ballistic missiles it carried, releasing them all.

Each missile was a nuclear warhead, ready to rain down death!

"Roar!" Yama, dragged by the ship, also broke free from the chains and pounced downwards, heading directly for the thriving city.

When its mountainous body heavily collided with the ground, the entire city shook violently, buildings crumbled, and skyscrapers collapsed! Countless homes and buildings were instantly crushed to pieces by Yama! Every soul of the victims was devoured and bound by Yama! It feasted and ravaged without restraint.

In the office of the Colosseum Arena, Kirino Reisei saw the sudden appearance of Yama outside the window and slumped in weakness.

Fighter jets, following the Martinez, began bombing key installations.

Shangjing, Kyoto Infinity Headquarters.

The air raid siren had been sounding for 1 minute, signaling the outbreak of a highest-level disaster. The earth shook, and people were filled with panic.

Tenjouin Zina rushed to the rooftop and looked up at the missiles flying towards Shangjing in the sky.

Without even thinking, she knew the targets of these nuclear warheads: the building of Kyoto Infinity Headquarters, Xisheng Shrine, Z Series Research Institute, security headquarters, factory districts...

Emotions such as anger, disappointment, and fear surged in her heart.

Then, she extinguished them all.

This is Kyoto Infinity!

"All Directions Stop!" Tenjouin Zina spread her arms wide, releasing all her magic power!

In an instant, the nuclear missiles and half of Shangjing fell into stasis.

But one deliberately lagging ballistic missile whistled through the city, intercepted by anti-aircraft missiles, and the nuclear weapon exploded in the air, scattering radioactive dust across the land.

Tenjouin Zina could no longer act; she had exhausted all her magic power, felt dizzy and lightheaded, and toppled forward, falling off the edge of the building.

Yanagawa Fumihiko looked up at the shocking turn of events and immediately leaped from A40; he needed to return to protect Lady Honma Noriko.

"Fight me!" A40 maintained its balance amidst the earthquake, chasing with its left arm, "Don’t run! You coward!"

Yanagawa Fumihiko had already left the arena through the tunnel.

"The winner," the referee robot announced, "the samurai of New World Mechanism, A40!"

Pre-set victory fireworks exploded, congratulating it for advancing to the semifinals amid the city’s gunfire and bombardment.

The roar of Yama sounded, and a colossal wave threatened to engulf the entire land.

On Nangong Island, Farosa frowned, watching the battleship and Yama escape.

This is bad. Xu Yang thought somberly. Unsure of where they had gone, but they must have attacked the core area of Kyoto Infinity.

Was it a Reality Manipulator from Black Fire Innovation controlling them from behind? Which one of them had such terrifying power?

"We need to go back," Xu Yang said, hurriedly setting off.

But the remnants of Black Fire Innovation were continuously interfering, preventing them from disrupting the Martinez’s military operation, each of them fighting fearlessly to the death.

"It’s fully unleashed." Farosa looked towards the huge spatial rift that was expanding uncontrollably at an alarming rate; this tide was exceptionally fierce, "Where’s the Elder Dragon?"

As soon as her words fell, a sonorous roar echoed over Nangong Island, opening a gap at the zenith of the heavens; a pair of immense claws took hold of both sides of the rift, tearing it open, and a giant dragon clad in pale scales descended, flapping its wings and hovering in midair.

"What chaos." Mond usually couldn’t be bothered with mundane matters, for life on the ground was ever prone to errors.

It released the ancient Miracles of the Dragon toward the spatial rifts in all directions, issuing a resonating dragon’s chant. The various rifts healed continually, ultimately vanishing from sight, and the phase demons fled outward with the lunar-white Giant Dragon’s roar, vanishing one after another from the edge of Nangong Island.

"Ah..."

"That is..." The remaining Black Fire Assault Squad members pointed at the Giant Dragon in the sky.

"Now, I have descended here," the Giant Dragon spoke in human tongue, looking at Farosa, "responding to the invitation."

"You’re late, and you haven’t exerted any effort, it doesn’t count," Farosa mocked.

"Is that Moonfire Mond?" Xu Yang observed, noting the immense dragon whose wingspan was 50 meters, beyond biological explanation.

"It’s one of its incarnations," Farosa snorted, "The Elder Dragon is very cunning; it’s hard to find its true form."

The white Giant Dragon descended to the sealing point’s peak, overlooking the scattered soldiers from Blackfire Company, gathering them one by one, advising them against futile resistance.

"The plan remains unchanged." Xu Yang led Farosa towards a corner of the island, searching for Pan Ruiyi’s remnants, "We still need to kill Yama, and we must also crush, even seize control of, the Martinez!"

Thinking of Lila left in the real world, Xu Yang wished he could hurry back to her side.

In the wilderness, they found one of Pan Ruiyi’s arms, and Farosa used the Law of Recovery to restore her.

"Huff... huff..." Fully recovered, Pan Ruiyi shook her head to reorganize her scattered thoughts and reconnect her fragmented memories. Looking up at the sky, she asked, "Where’s the Martinez? And Yama?"

"The Spatial Tide erupted," Farosa said. "They got lucky."

"We need to chase after them immediately," Xu Yang frowned.

"Black Fire Innovation really came prepared," Pan Ruiyi took a deep breath. "But what can we do? Both Yama and the Martinez are tough to deal with."

"Farosa needs your help to complete the ritual," Xu Yang nodded. "That’s the primary reason we’re here."

"All disasters will be resolved once I ascend to godhood," said Farosa. "Pan Ruiyi, you hold the most crucial ’cornerstone’ position, being my first knight, a witch sharing an oath with me. Our souls have already been connected, and our fates are inextricably intertwined. My ascension would be incomplete, even harmful, without your witness and participation."

"I have long since vowed my loyalty to you," Pan Ruiyi nodded lightly. "Serving the true Witch Goddess doesn’t feel too bad."

"Once Farosa gains stronger power, and we obtain the Godslayer Weapon," Xu Yang pondered, "we should be able to resolve this crisis."

"Resolve the crisis?" Farosa murmured. "The world has finally begun to descend into true chaos and bloodshed. I do enjoy watching it. Humans always need to learn from their pain."

"We must put an end to the chaos," Xu Yang looked at Farosa. "And protect everything that we are familiar with."

Farosa looked towards the blood-red sky. Indeed, at this point, she had formed many connections in that dirty, vast real world.

"We must at least keep our new home intact," she said.

"Indeed," Xu Yang agreed.

"Witch Goddess, wielding the Godslayer Weapon, you shall slay Yama before all beings," Farosa poured out all the Sand of Stars, scattering it over Nangong Island.

The dust spread, and the soil was covered by the newfound power. In as short as several weeks, or as long as several months, the entire Nangong Island would be secured by the power of the Sand of Stars, its edges solidifying to truly become a stable realm impenetrable to the Phase Demon.

"Captain!" Zhang Yunxi and the other special task force members ran over. "You’re still alive!"

"Our mission isn’t finished yet," Pan Ruiyi nodded solemnly. "Our goal remains the same; take out Yama!"

"What about the prisoners?" Zhang Yunxi looked at the captured Black Fire Soldiers, who were nervously uneasy under the pressure of the white giant dragon.

"Mond!" Farosa called out to the Elder Dragon in the distance. "Consider this a favor I owe you—please watch over this area after we leave, until it becomes completely stable. And take us back to Anjiu City! As for those people you caught, have them work on the island, plant more trees!"

Mond’s avatar spread its wings, letting out a loud roar, and a silver-white floating spell appeared in front of Xu Yang and the others.

"What’s this for?" Zhang Yunxi asked, puzzled.

"For saving the world," Farosa whispered. "Let the world see what the Witch Goddess can do. If I were to restore all the destroyed cities and bring the dead back to life, which mortal would refuse to offer their pure loyalty to the Witch Goddess?"

In the Nestor Industrial Park of Aizu City, Lila was drafting a report about how to build, expand, and cultivate Aizu City.

She suddenly heard a series of ear-piercing explosions and booms and immediately started looking for news. The fearless reporters from Kakuya Media were filming the images of the Martínez space mothership and Yama, which had abruptly appeared above the city, wreaking havoc within the entire scope of the city.

Lila grabbed her sniper rifle and ran downstairs, only to see Sally crawling out of her comm room, hunched over with some orange mucus still clinging to her.

"Is that you?" Sally’s rat ears twitched. "Where’s Xu Yang?"

"The master isn’t here," Lila said, wiping Sally dry with a towel. "You’ve finally woken up."

"I can feel lots of changes," Sally’s hands shimmered with two even more powerful forces. "Everyone’s beliefs have made me stronger."

"Your two powers..." Lila observed the Rat Witch’s dual magic. "One is the emergence of life force, the other is electromagnetic pulse."

Boom—

Earthquakes erupted, waves shook, and geological disturbances caused far-reaching disasters.

The industrial park buried deep in the sea, its glass dome unable to bear the load, immediately developed a crack, and seawater began pouring in at once like a waterfall with the thunder crashing down.

"This place is going to be flooded," Lila grabbed the Rat Witch’s hand and started to move. "Let’s go to battle."

"To battle?" The Rat Witch saw the frontline report. "Such a large warship!"

"You can use the divine power-enhanced electromagnetic pulse to directly shoot down the Martínez!" Lila nodded vigorously.

"Before that... we need to block the crack," said Sally, looking up. "The seawater will flood me and everyone’s radio station..."

Lila looked up at the leaking top crack.

Indeed, if left unattended, the seawater would not only fill the entire industrial park but would also flow into Aizu City along the underground tunnels, ultimately submerging the entire underground metropolis.

"It’s important, but how do we get up there? We can’t fly..." said Lila. "Oh, oh, wait a minute."

She ran toward the prison cells.

"Ready to make amends?" Lila knocked on the iron door.

"Ready," said the Chainsaw Angel.
