Shang Jin parked the car and quickly went to the boot and brought out the wheelchair, he unfolded it and wheeled it to the passenger door, he opened the door and carried Si Ning carefully out of the car, he placed him on the wheelchair and started wheeling him towards the entrance after locking his car door.

Si Ning spotted some suspicious looking people are the parking lot, probably paparazzi so he stared at his feet so they wouldn’t see his face.

"Si Ning, we didn’t even think of a plan, will she listen and go with you?" Shang Jin asked. "Oh no no no no."

Si Ning looked up to see that a bodyguard was standing outside the large church door and the bodyguard extended his hand to indicate that they shouldn’t approach. "Forward Jin." This wasn’t the time to stop, he would never stop here.

The bodyguard wore a dark suit, he was tall and built with a stern expression but Si Ning was glad that Shang Jin didn’t flatter nor stop.

Shang Jin wheeled Si Ning until they got to the front of the two steps leading to the door. "Hi we are invited to the wedding of the Liu family, my wedding invitation should be here..." He started to tap his pocket while chuckling nervously looking for an invitation he doesn’t have.

"This is rude, you can see I am in a wheelchair open the door!" Si Ning commanded forgetting he wasn’t in the ancient era anymore, he wasn’t above anybody and nobody would carry out a command from him.

"Leave the premises at once." The guard said firmly.

Si Ning raised a finger as he indicated for Shang Jin to come closer and Shang Jin bent his head. "Shang Jin this is the prime of your life, he cannot hit you, show him your ID and jump on him." The door wasn’t open which means the wedding was still ongoing and they may be right on time.

"I hope I won’t get fired but since I came to the Elite Hospital for you then I can always leave and go back to our small town." Shang Jin swallowed a lump in his throat as he removed his ID card and straightened up. "I am Shang Jin a doctor working at the Elite group of hospitals and as you can see..." He said confidently as he got closer to hand it over to the guard then he suddenly hugged the guard tight.

Si Ning wasted no time as he summoned his strength, jumping over the two steps at once while his wheelchair fell, he pushed the door open with all his might as his legs gave way and he fell to the floor. "Zhicheng!" He yelled at the top of his voice.

The whole church turned at once in his direction while Shang Jin was busy tackling the bodyguard so he wouldn’t interrupt Si Ning.

Si Ning spotted Liu Zhicheng at the podium standing behind a man who was holding a woman in a wedding dress but Si Ning’s focus was on Liu Zhicheng. "Xiu Zhicheng you mustn’t marry her!" He yelled as all the emotions from his past life when Xiu Zhicheng died busted, he started to cry again because just a few feet from him was Liu Zhicheng who was very much alive. His one and only husband.

"Oh..."

"What.."

"Isn’t that that actor.."

"Si Ning?"

"Are they acting?"

"Filming?"

Some of the guests brought out their phones to record as they started murmuring, most of them now on their feet to see clearly. It was a private wedding but the church was half-filled with people.

Liu Zhicheng wore a shocked expression as he stood frozen to his spot and stared at Si Ning who was trying to stand on his feet with the support of the bench next to him.

Si Ning’s heart squeezed in pain as his vision became cloudy due to his tears. "You selfish bastard, didn’t you say you love me? Why do you want to marry her? Didn’t you tell me not to get married to another person and that I must only love you?" He doesn’t need to shout because the almost empty church carried his words like he was using a microphone.

"A confession?"

"Wow...."

"How bold..."

"What is going on?"

It was Chen An that first took action by jumping out of his seat and ran to Si Ning at full speed, he dabbed a coat over Si Ning to shield him from the flashlight of the paparazzi outside and those in the church trying to take a good picture.

"General." Chen An said more like a whisper. "General Si Ning, you remember me, Commander Chen An?"

Si Ning raised his puffy eyes. "Chen An..." He cried as he realised Chen An remembered. "Why will you let Xiu Zhicheng marry..."

"General wait...." Chen An was unable to explain because Liu Zhicheng appeared next to them and he scooped Si Ning from the floor, carrying him bridal style while the coat covered his face.

"Deal with the media, not a single photo of today must be leaked." Liu Zhicheng said as he started heading out immediately with a determined stride.

Shang Jin and the bodyguard were still battling but the bodyguard was able to subdue him while bowing in apology as Liu Zhicheng passed by him while Chen An closed the door.

Si Ning was so glad that he was able to cut the wedding off as he sighed relieved that his husband was alive and breathing well because when he placed a hand on his chest he could feel his heart beating rapidly, he doesn’t need to raise the coat to know it was him and before Si Ning knew what was going on he was placed on the passenger seat of an expensive car and Liu Zicheng got into the driver’s seat.

Si Ning removed the coat covering him to see that Liu Zhicheng’s head was placed on the steering wheel. It was definitely him, the love, hunger, eagerness, nervousness, and longing he was feeling for the man sitting next to him was so high Si Ning knew he was indeed his Xiu Zhicheng and when Liu Zhicheng raised his head, his eyes were full of tears and he wore a sad expression. "Are you angry that I stopped the wedding?" He asked as a mixture of anger and sadness got stuck in his throat.

"No you didn’t stop the wedding." Liu Zhicheng replied as tears started falling from his eyes.

It was the first time Si Ning would see his sophisticated boss in tears but he was more concerned about the wedding.

"You told me that I must love only you then why must you...."

Before Si Ning could finish his sentence Liu Zhicheng drew him into a kiss, cutting him off as he kissed him passionately, a kiss that exploded with longing to show they had missed each other so much that Si Ning responded that he tasted their salty tears that had mixed.

"It’s TianZhao’s wedding." Liu Zhicheng said when he parted a little from Si Ning, his breath shallow.

Si Ning’s eyes widened. "Oh." He finally felt relieved as his cheeks turned into a lighter shade of red due to embarrassment, he just made a fool out of himself due to the misguided information Shang Jin told him.

"You remembered Si Ning, with how much I waited, how sad I was seeing you with Liu Ting and I always think it is my punishment for leaving you alone with all the burden that you didn’t live happily after I left but you finally remembered me and you woke up and camd me to first." Liu Zhicheng said his voice laid with so much sadness, his hands placed on Si Ning’s cheeks but his hands were quivering. "I am so happy Si Ning."

"I love you Xiu Zhicheng." Si Ning finally said and now he was wiping Liu Zhicheng’s tears. He loved Xiu Zhicheng with the long hair but he also love Liu Zhicheng with the short hair, his handsome husband.

Liu Zhicheng took his hand and placed a kiss on it."You are my one and only eternal love Si Ning, my Empress."

Amid tears and laughter, they knew that they had both found themselves among all the chaos and this time they would live together happily forever.
