Cunning General Si Ning
Chapter 293: History

Chapter 293: History

"What do I do what I do, I just kidnapped a patient that just came out of a coma." Shang Jin said as he took a deep breath turning into the highway. "Do not tell me that the person your boss is getting married to is your fiancee?" His eyes widened in realisation. "I am literally shaking because I can lose my job Si Ning you are such a bad influence." He added.

"Give me your phone." Si Ning said, Shang Jin had been rambling on without stopping even though he received no reply.

Shang Jin reached into the breast pocket of his lab coat and brought out his phone which he unlocked with a slide and handed it to Si Ning. "Your accident was on the news but I think your agency was able to contain it and you being in the Elite hospital is a secret too...."

Si Ning tuned him out as he went straight to the browser and typed ’Xiu and Xilie Nation.’ He entered search as it started to load, he doesn’t care about checking the news about him when he was more concerned about if his experience in Xiu was all a dream, he had no idea what to expect but the moment it loaded with a summary of Xiu and Xilie Nation, Si Ning couldn’t believe that those Nations existed and in history, he even saw a site where a history book titled ’the tale of the Dragon and the Phoenix’ was displayed with a blazing red cover, Si Ning clicked on it and right there, the summary written was about the war that lasted three months between Xiu and Xilie nation, even the Emperor of Xiu, Xiu Zhicheng, his Empress Si Ning and the Emperor of Xilie Qiu Bai was mentioned. SI Ning was so shocked after reading the comments of those that read the history book to see that their tale was real that his mouth fell open.

"Oh, that book." Shang Jin who stretched his neck and was able to peek at what Si Ning was looking at said as he turned into a narrow tiled road. "My friend studying history learnt me the hardcopy years ago, I remember the Empress had your name, he was a hard-working person who commands a large army and rode bravery to war to defeat Xilie, a total opposite of you and he won in the end but his life was sad."

It was him.

Si Ning couldn’t believe he could just hear about the book from Shang Jin. "How was it sad?" He had to ask.

Shang Jin shrugged. "I remembered his mother died and the servant he loves most died too then the Emperor, his husband died so he was left alone and lived a sad life till the end."

"You mean he didn’t die after the Emperor?" Si Ning was now confused, he remembered he had a dream and hugged his other self and waking up in the modern day era means he must have died in Xiu.

"Oh no no." Shang Jin shook his head. "As the Empress, he took care of the palace and Princes till the Crown Prince became the Emperor then he left the palace never to be seen again, he had your name that is why I remembered it well and you won’t believe there is also a rough guy there named Shang Jin who led a tribe called Yang tribe, funny right?" When Si Ning didn’t reply made Shang Jin did a quick turn and he was surprised to see that Si Ning was crying. "Are you okay Si Ning? Why are you crying?" He asked, worried. "You shouldn’t be feeling any pain."

Si Ning couldn’t believe it, it wasn’t a dream, nor a story, it was history, his history, their history and he right now should be a reincarnation of the General Si Ning Empress of Xiu. "I am just happy I woke up." He wiped his tears with his hands, living like an empty shell must have been painful.

"I am happy you woke up too, I use to rehearse what I will say to you when you wake up but I can see I don’t even need those rehearsals because conversations between us flow smoothly and Si Ning you have turned so mature not even hiding your emotions and acting like a proper adult, I used to be worried about the kind of adult you will become." Shang Jin said as he brought out a handkerchief and handed it to Si Ning.

"Did the Crown Prince become a good Emperor?" Si Ning asked. "Did the second Prince live well and what about the Empress’s sister?"

"It is quite hazy, I was more focused on the Empress Si Ning but the Crown Prince turned out great, the Empress sister had your sister’s name too, I think Aunty must have named you and Si Nan after them." Shang Jin frowned as he thought of something. "Actually the history wasn’t that focused on his family so I can’t remember." He admitted.

"You should speed up Shang Jin, several vehicles are passing us and we have to stop the wedding." Si Ning said, frustrated as he felt relieved now knowing what happened.

"You are mistaking Si Ning, you’re stopping the wedding not me and do you mind telling me why you want to stop the wedding, did you guys share some promise ring?" Shang Jin inquired as he turned by a traffic light.

"Not only that, we got married." Si Ning said firmly, his expression solemn.

"Ah?" Shang Jin almost pressed the brake due to shock but he quickly recovered. "Oh this is illegal and big news, let me step on it I don’t care if I get a ticket." He stepped on the accelerator and started speeding even Si Ning got scared a little, he just got out of a coma and wasn’t ready to enter another one.

Shang Jin’s phone vibrated in Si Ning’s hand and ’Aunty’ came up on the screen with a photo of his mother, him and Shang Jin when they were little displayed on the screen, Si Ning knew it was his mother calling and Shang Jin gave a look at the phone while he went back to concentrate on driving. "Put it on speaker."

Si Ning complied and answered the phone and he switch it to loudspeaker mode.

"A-Jin I can’t find Xiao Ning." A female voice laid with panic said. "I know your shift will soon start but I had to run downstairs to get an orange juice in case he wakes up but I went downstairs three times to get different orange juice because I don’t know the brand he might like but when I got back I can’t find...."

"Aunty Aunty he is with me, he is with me." Shang Jin had cut in because Ge Mengshu had started crying while talking in a rush. "He is with me." He repeated

"Mother." Si Ning said quickly the moment his mother stopped talking to listen to Shang Jin. "Mother are you there?" Tears started falling and he didn’t bother to wipe them.

"Xiao Ning my little Ning my beautiful son, how are you? Where did you go? You woke up...."

Si Ning listened to the crying and worried voice of his mother. "I was so hungry so I went out to eat porridge I will be back soon."

"Why didn’t you tell me, I would have make you one, what do you want to eat when you get back I will make it for you Xiao Ning."

"Do not worry mother I am fine." Si Ning reassured her, that he wasn’t hungry.

"No you must tell me what you want to eat, I will tell Xiao Nan to come too so that we can all eat with A-Jin, I am so sorry Xiao Ning for coming late, I saw you on t.v but I believed that it can’t be you that you are studying in school, quickly come back I will buy a phone for you and take your time eating, eat slowly you hear me but first what will you eat?"

"Seafood... soup with bread..?" Si Ning said nonsense as he waited for his mother to say a word because she must have been confused about his request. "And cake to celebrate my waking." He added as he grinned nervously.

"Okay, I will put a lot of crabs and lobster." Ge Mengshu finally said.

Si Ning sighed, relieved. "Thank you mother, I will see you."

"I will see you my son my lovely son."

Si Ning ended the call and wiped his tears, he handed the phone to Shang Jin without a word, he was glad to see that she didn’t panic, she had always been a strong woman.

"We are here." Shang Jin said as he pulled up in the parking lot of the heaven’s will church.
