The fight between highly skilled trained men was terrifying because Xiu TianZhao and the two men were fighting with swords on a god level, they were guards so Si Ning expected them to be fighting with darts or any dangerous sneaky weapons and when Si Ning got closer did his sharp eyes noticed off the daggers laying on the ground which he suspected it was a result from the ongoing fight and due to the skills they were displaying Si Ning had to stop to assess the situation but due to him freezing for a moment did he saw two arrows sent in Xiu TianZhao’s direction with the corner of his eyes so pulled his bowstring ready to shoot an arrow but it was too late so he didnt shoot since his arrow would never get to the arrows sent and spilt or disrupt their direction, his heart that had been beating fast due to the adrenaline pumping through his body started beating faster as sweat slided down his forehead, his hair damp on his head, his bangs sticking to his forehead due to sweat as a result of him running and it was like watching the arrows in a slow montion even though it was just seconds and he concluded that Xiu TianZhao would get hit but something unexpected happen Xiu TianZhao dodged the two arrows while he was still swinging his sword at the two men before him. Those moves were calculative and it wasn’t by sheer luck Xiu TianZhao dodged them, a feeling of proudness swelled in Si Ning’s heart as he gave Xiu TianZhao a mental applaud even though his skill in shooting arrows had given a lot of Xiu’s men he helped to see him as a god.

"Traitors!"

Si Ning never for once thought that Xiu TianZhao was ever skilled to that extent, he had always seen him as a Playboy who was lazy and doesn’t want to do anything that would bother him, even court meetings he doesn’t attend regularly but right on the battlefield Xiu TianZhao proved him wrong.

"General." Xiao Pei that stood next to Si Ning said, he had just finished taking care of the Xilie’s soldiers that intercepted his path.

Si Ning turned to the direction the arrows were sent, the situation of Xiu TianZhao and his guards was confusing but the moment he laid his eyes on two soldiers of Xilie who were on their knees and getting ready to shoot another set of arrows while their eyes focused on Xiu TianZhao that was when Si Ning knew at once that ’traitors!’ that Xiu TianZhao was shouting was right and it seemed the twin guard were Xiu’s enemy and Xiu TianZhao was fighting them.

The two Xilie’s soldiers setting their arrows had two of their comrades fighting any Xiu’s soldier that want to intervene and disrupt the archers.

First Si Ning had to get rid of the pests so he directed his arrow in the direction of the two Xilie’s archers while Xiao Pei dealt with any Xilie’s soldiers that want to interrupt him. Si Ning pulled and released the arrow and immediately took another arrow from the arrow bag behind him and released it after setting it not up to a second on his bow, the two arrows flew, one forward pierced one of the two Xilie’s archers that were still setting his arrow and the other pierced the second Xilie’s archer immediately after, their eyes widened in shock as they look into Si Ning’s direction but the arrows pierced their hearts and the bows they were holding fell as blood gushed out of their wounds, the other two fighting the Xiu’s soldiers got distracted by the attack and due to that the Xiu’s soldiers were able to overpower them but they quickly recovered to fight back.

Si Ning set an arrow again and directed it at one of the twins but their movements were erratic and Xiu TianZhao kept getting in the way and he knew he would spend forever trying to get a clean shot just like those two Xilie’s soldiers that shot their arrows at Xiu TianZhao, from the angle they were, they could still succeed after being patient but Si Ning doesn’t have all day, If he ran while concentrating on the twin to shoot before he gets closer a Xilie soldier might get in his way which means he would have to shoot them down or if he gets closer he might find himself busy trying to dodge the three men fighting violently without regards for their surroundings but they were given a large amount of space to fight by the soldiers fighting around them. If he joins the fight that means he would waste time and Qiu Bai that was going wild would take more of Xiu’s soldiers and in the end, he might get so tired he won’t be able to fight Qiu Bai at his top form.

"Xiao Pei!" Si Ning called.

"General!" Xiao Pei sunk his sword into the Xilie’s soldier he was fighting then kicked him away and at the same time pulled out his sword and wiped the enemy’s blood stained on his eyebrow with his bloody hands before blood could drip in his eye and obstruct his view.

"Assist TianZhao!" Si Ning yelled as he ran in the opposite direction into the soldiers fighting at the side just to avoid the three men fighting.

Xiao Pei first stood there, his feet and body turned in Si Ning’s direction with dilemma written all over his face like he was debating whether to follow Si Ning or listen to Si Ning’s instruction as his feet got rooted to the spot and not once did he look into Xiu TianZhao and the twin guards direction then he saw Yi Chen who was running towards the direction of Si Ning with a bloody sword as he cut thw throat of one of Xilie’s men who blocked him. He was too far away and was already disappearing among the sea of soldiers so there was no way for Xiao Pei to call him to assist Xiu TianZhao so he could follow Si Ning instead so he yelled out in anger and joined Xiu TianZhao leaving Yi Chen to be Si Ning’s guard for the main time which he would resume immediately after getting rid of the twin guards.

Immediately Xiu TianZhao took a quick look at the person whose sword just collided with one of the twins that was reaching to slash his arm because he was getting tired and getting slow dodging arrows while fighting the two hefty men so this person was his saviour and the moment he saw his former private guard his eyes widened knowing that Xiao Pei would never come alone without Si Ning this made Xiu TianZhao to get distracted when he tried to look around to see if Si Ning was there and this cost one of the twins to finally be able to slash his thigh, it was a flesh wound and not a deep cut since he was able to react quickly but not fast enough to avoid sustaining a wound.

"You traitor!" Xiu TianZhao yelled for the hundredth time as his sword collided with his attacker. "Xiao Pei where is Ningzi! Xiao Pei! Where is Ning! Where is Ning! Ningzi! Xiao Ningzi!" He yelled as his throat vibrated, his mouth wide open breathing hard, he had to yell out for Xiao Pei to hear him due to the noise around and he was too busy to turn to stop to hold a conversation with Xiao Pei.

"Heading for the Emperor of Xilie! Heading for the Emperor of Xilie!" Xiao Pei replied at the top of his voice. Just his reply seemed to agitate the twin he was fighting as he started to fight back harder as he pulled out a dagger.

"What!" Xiu TianZhao yelled as he evaded a blow from his opponent.

"Seems I get to finally kill the invisible guard of our former Master!" The twin Xiao Pei was fighting grin evilly.

Xiao Pei ignored him and yelled. "General is heading for the Emperor of Xilie! Heading for the Emperor of Xilie!"

Xiu TianZhao was breathing hard, his mouth opened, chest heaving but now he knew he had to finish quickly so he would help Si Ning and he was a bit relieved that Si Ning appeared, he was a great General of Xiu so his assistance was needed at the dire moment.
