"General everybody has gathered." Xiao Pei reported.

Si Ning opened his eyes, he was now fully dressed in his armour and had been in his room looking at the map Xiao Pei gave him but instead of him to study it, he closed his eyes to think because from all his imagination he never imagined the reserved army to be a hundred and fifty in number. It was a very small number so he was confused about how to proceed.

The rules of the world were to take a step at a time so Si Ning stood up and closed the map handing it over to Xiao Pei who was dressed in armour, he frowned because Xiao Pei would stay at the Si residence and not go to war yet he wore armour but Si Ning didn’t say a word about that because all he could focus on was what he would say to get support for Si Nan because to leave a young girl like her was something he wasn’t comfortable it, it was when he got to his room he realised that.

Si Ning stepped out of his room and quickly walked over to the courtyard to face the guards and servants of the Si residence, Si Nan was waiting for him, standing behind her was Yi Chen, Jiang Ye that now had little colour on his face, Wei next to him looking better than ever, Jiang ChenMu next to Jiang Ye glancing at him with a worried look. Si Ning could see he was blessed with stubborn guards that won’t listen to him because when he got closer to them he saw that Wei was sweating even though the weather was mild, Jiang Ye next to him looked tired but instead of him commenting on their appearance, he stood next to Si Nan.

"Your Majesty!" The people facing them bowed to pay their respects to Si Ning as they shouted their rhymed greeting.

Si Ning watched as they all became silent ready to listen to him. "I! General Si Ning, the Empress of Xiu is ashamed to stand before you and say I was not aware of the attack that was planned to destroy me, destroy the Si legacy, destroy yours and my home."He started his speech, his low voice but loud enough for the whole compound to hear him. "They dared to poison me and attack my Palace, I lost many of my servants and guards at the Palace just like you also lost a lot of your friends and family at this residence." He realised his hand was starting to shake so he clenched it into a fist. "A Nation called Xilie saw me as a weak man who they can tamper on and they succeeded but the mistake they made was not able to finish me off and now it is my time to tamper on them, step on them, crush them and I will not stop until I finish them off! Because I do not leave things half done!" He concluded his speech.

The whole compound started to yell praises, some started to kowtow, Yi Chen nodded while Jiang Ye smiled weakly even Wei brought out his sword and raised it to start yelling with the rest.

"Long Live His Majesty!" Shi Junhao shouted.

"Long Live His Majesty!" The rest also shouted.

"I Si Nan!" Si Nan started when the compound went quiet once again. "Your Young Miss will be in charge of the Si residence, they might have burned part of the house down, cut us in half but we will build our home up and remain strong both in our form and in our heart!" She said in an audible loud voice.

The whole compound heart got lit and some that wore dull faces became bright and they all looked up to the two siblings like they had seen their savior and with determined expressions to show they were ready to build again.

It didn’t take up to an hour for Si Ning to sort things out, it was like they had been waiting for him so after he started commanding, the whole compound was neat again and Si Nan took it upon herself to lead the house and see that all the debris were cleared and some carpenters arrived to start dismantling the roof of the main hall that was damaged, while the things like documents that could be salvaged were taken to the late Ge Mengshu’s room.

"I promise that when you are back elder brother you will be surprised to see how renovated and beautiful our house will be, I will start sword training because we Si are not weak and you are not weak nor do they see you as weak, they are afraid, that is why they attacked but just like elder brother said, they made a mistake and leaving the job half done, I do not need Xiao Pei here because he belongs to you, I have Shi Junhao now and Shi Zhuxue is already working with Yanlin." That was the last thing Si Nan said to Si Ning before walking away and right then Si Ning knew he had to leave things in her hands and trust her completely.

The Si treasury was large and when Si Ning discovered part of it was in the ceiling of his room, he was shocked because he never thought he was sleeping under massive exchange silvers that could even feed his whole army for years. The other part of the Si treasury seemed to be hidden in different storages of other parts of the land and house properties that belong to the Si family while others were with trusted allies.

To share the reserved soldiers was a dilemma but from what he could see and what Jiang ChenMu told him that the reserved force had improved a thousand folds but Si Ning had no way of knowing. He started to lead the few soldiers out to meet the rest of his men outside the city while ignoring Wei who was starting to beg.

Si Ning turned to see Song Feng riding at full speed to meet him, this made him stop in case an emergency had occurred in the palace and Song Feng was there to report it.

"Your Majesty, please take me along." Song Feng requested.

It was then Si Ning noticed that Song Feng even had a bag securely stacked at the back of the horse which he guessed was full of medicine and medical appliance.

"But we have our Doctors and they are well trained." Jiang ChenMu said to Si Ning as he wore a confused expression, the reserved force belong to Si Ning and Song Feng was an Imperial Doctor so they had no right to take him along.

"Please for old time sake, for the sake of our friendship, and for my payment for not executing my father and even leaving Xiu to his charge please let me follow and serve Your Majesty." Song Feng said.

Si Ning took a deep breath. "You have a wife and a child to look after." He pointed out the obvious.

"I want to follow your Majesty!" Song Feng said, his eye beseeching.

"Fine." Si Ning agreed not wanting to command Song Feng to go back because he had a slight feeling he needed a friend to talk to not someone like Xiao Pei that only listen to orders and Song Feng looked like he was about to cry. He watched how Song Feng bowed with a subtle happy expression as he fell behind the rest.
