Crimson Moon Redemption: My Alpha's Brutal Mistake
Chapter 88: Who angered you? (Iris)

Chapter 88: Who angered you? (Iris)

"We have to stop the coronation before it’s too late, Iris. The stupid bitch forgave our brother after all we made him do, and the Crimson Moon Tribe is now stronger than ever," Ivy informed me when I was in the middle of an enchantment.

So many years of planning have just been trodden upon by one bitch. For what? I won’t let it happen.

"I still need a few days to complete the process, or we’ll lose everything," I informed Ivy. She has been my monitoring agent planted around all the tribes as well as the witches’ coven.

My greatest competitor is Madam Superior, and as much as I wanted to use her to destroy Annabelle before I strike, we haven’t been able to find out her plan, and things are moving too fast at the Crimson Moon Tribe.

After ensuring that I had a link to control Zach, it was time to fake my death, and Annabelle was the scapegoat. The problem is, I had no idea she was the original red-haired girl.

That girl was meant to die, but when Kari appeared, she was rather gullible and an easy pawn, so we didn’t see a need to kill her but to rather use her.

Little did I know she was a different kind of agent under Madam Superior, and hearing about her death only reminded me of my brother’s ruthlessness.

The fact remains that my love for Zach has always been a ploy to win his trust, and every time I prepared his carrot juice, I spiked it with my specially prepared portions.

However, it didn’t work the way I planned because of that elixir in his system. When I was leaving, I taught Ivy how to prepare some, and continuously, she kept supplying Kari with everything. We had the tribe under our control.

After Annabelle was saved by the Crimson Moon, we were glad that Zach still went after her to kill her, but their reunion destroyed half of my portion. They should have never come together, and their mating for the second time destroyed half of my powers.

We tried everything to make them hate each other, but what did we get? A love that was rather unbreakable.

Gaius has also been a contributing factor to their failure, but we still had a means of watching everything happening at both the Crimson Moon and Lunar Echoes Tribe.

"Zach will kill us if he finds us, so I agree for us to go and ask for forgiveness instead. Once we are accepted back, we can pretend to like Annabelle and destroy her later," I revealed my plan, but Ivy reminded me of a rather devastating one.

"What about their pup? A male chimera is even more dangerous than the female, so he should be destroyed."

I had to agree but... "how can we kill him with the likes of Zach, Annabelle, and even Gaius?" Ivy asked. I was at a loss but thought about something else.

"First things first. Let’s find our way back to our brother’s heart. We are blood after all."

"What do we tell him about your disappearance? Everyone knows you are dead," Ivy reminded me, but I smiled at her.

"Don’t worry, I have a plan, and don’t forget we aren’t alone in this. Mom and dad will surely support us. I will send them a message now."

After sending a message to our parents, I picked up my crystal moon. For as long as it doesn’t break, I shall be able to control Zach’s mind.

However, if it breaks, then so would be the end of all my powers, but I didn’t have a choice at this moment.

We locked the cave and covered it with weeds, just so no one would locate it.

Mom and dad left the confines of the tribe to find their passion and eternal life. The elixir that red girl gave to Zach was formerly supposed to be for my parents because there was only one of its kind.

Up until now, even Madam Superior has not been able to make a replica because it was passed down to her. With that sacrifice made, there was no way she would have refused to give it to that little girl.

Now, my parents have been on the journey of seeking another elixir to give them eternal life. This is the reason dad never wanted Zach to be the Alpha because he was undefeatable, but who knew that after everything Zion did, Zach would build his own tribe?

We arrived at the Crimson Moon Tribe in time to witness the fight because everyone was distracted, and in that moment, I wished that Thaddeus would kill Zach for the Lycans to take Annabelle away, but who knew that even with a Lycan, Zach had some tricks up his sleeves?

We only seized the opportunity during the matter concerning Annabelle’s mother.

"Since you are harboring vampires, I too deserve pardon," Ivy said. I removed the crystal moon from my bag the moment we gathered attention from everyone present.

"Indeed, we deserve pardon too."

Zach was looking tired, and I could tell he hadn’t rested in a while, but his gaze was filled with such indifference.

"Iris? How are you alive?" He questioned. I ensured to activate the Crystal Moon before responding to him.

"I have no idea. That bitch pushed me when I asked to speak with her, thinking I would die, but I didn’t. I woke up with a strange woman, and she healed me."

This wasn’t the way I planned my return, so this was the only excuse I could give at this moment, and with the crystal moon, he should believe me.

"I never pushed you. You screamed for help, and I offered one, except that you fell for whatever reason I don’t know," Annabelle replied, glaring daggers at me.

Thankfully, my spell seemed to be working on Zach because his eyes changed color after I caught his reflection in the crystal moon.

"It’s your words against mine. I’m the victim here, and my only mistake was not reaching out sooner to inform Zach about what you did. I had multiple fractures which took time to heal, because my wolf was weakened by it and for some reason, the mindlink wouldn’t work," I lied smoothly, feigning all the seriousness I could think about.

"Don’t you dare accuse my daughter with lies," a red-haired beautiful woman interrupted. Annabella, looking as beautiful as ever, and most times, I wondered how many mates she’s had in her lifetime.

Though beautiful, she must have lived a century, but her life was not a concern for now, as compared with my desire to destroy her daughter.

"How would you know?" I questioned her. "From the way I see it, you both must have planned it to steal this tribe for the vampires," I accused, using the powers of the crystal moon to win the minds of the tribe members.

"Indeed, it must be true. Why would the Alpha allow vampires when it’s against the constitution? Now Annabelle is exposed. She kept denying that she never pushed Iris, but now the truth is out. She deserves to die," one of the tribe members I manipulated through the crystal moon exclaimed, the others roared in agreement.

"Yes, she should die for doing this to the Alpha’s sister."

Ivy smirked, and I knew I was on course, especially when Zach was lost for words. Gaius was angry, but I knew that even he wouldn’t be able to do anything against his Alpha.

"Dad, you don’t believe all that they are saying, do you?" A boy around the age of four to five spoke up. I was stunned. The resemblance made it undeniable that he was Zach’s pup, but how?

"He’s a chimera, don’t forget. Because of his vampire instinct, he grows faster than average pups," Ivy drew near and said to me. I understood clearly due to how his words almost had an effect on Zach, but the power of the crystal moon was too strong to resist.

"Zach, you have to listen to your mate," Gaius hinted through gritted teeth. I hated him even more, but the spell was gaining strength, just like my other spells from before.

"Annabelle, did you do it?" He asked. Anna looked upset, but what she did next stunned everyone.

Without warning, she slapped Zach hard on the face, all eyes widened as she spoke through choked tears. "I can’t believe I forgave you. You still don’t trust me."

As to whether it was her words or the slap, I couldn’t tell, but Zach’s eye color changed, and he swiftly pulled her into his arms. "Why are you upset, Belle, who angered you?"

It was as if he wasn’t the one who spoke just now, and Annabelle seemed to have caught something. "Wait, wait, wait," she pulled away from his embrace.

"Don’t tell me you are under another spell."

Her words seemed to have awakened something in Zach, and before I knew to lower the crystal moon, he pointed at it with anger. "That ball in her hand," he mentioned. Annabelle swiftly kicked the crystal moon from my hand before I could save it.

Luckily, it didn’t crash, but it was close to her feet. "No, please don’t break it. I’m begging you," I cried, hoping to tap into just a bit of her kindness.

If she forgave Zach, then she won’t be mean to me, right?
