Crimson Moon Redemption: My Alpha's Brutal Mistake
Chapter 49: Leave that to me (Dina)

Chapter 49: Leave that to me (Dina)

In my century of life, I have witnessed much, but nothing compares to what I am witnessing now with Bella.

No one, not even the Alpha, knows my true age due to my youthful appearance, a reward for my unwavering service to the moon goddess.

This is why I have refrained from taking on apprentices, fearing betrayal or the leakage of secrets. Someone like Bella must remain hidden.

When she revealed her red hair, a trait confirmed by her growing follicles, I knew she was special. Thanks to her, our pack has thrived, becoming the most prosperous in both material wealth and human resources.

Bella is unique, beloved, and respected by all in our community. I believe she is innocent of the accusations against her, but the powers of the Crimson Moon tribe are formidable. If I didn’t know any better, I would suspect the ancient grand witch herself was involved.

However, when it comes to the Alpha’s twin sisters, I hesitate to expose them as the situation is beyond my expertise.

Alpha Zion is kind, and after witnessing his relationship with Bella, I began to believe that he made the right decision in taking the Alpha position from Alpha Zach through questionable means.

Bella’s survival is crucial as her death could lead to catastrophic consequences that no tribe could withstand. Alpha Zion’s care for her is commendable, but I currently lack the means to bring her out of her coma.

The absence of a bond between a wolf or Lycan and Alpha Zion indicates they are not mates. However, Bella still bears Alpha Zach’s mark, so the possibility of her being his mate cannot be entirely dismissed until Alpha Zion finds his own mate.

I have never encountered a pup that refused milk in favor of carrot juice, except for Alpha Zach, who was unique in this regard. This cannot be solely attributed to draining his blood; rather, it is the result of his sperm forming the pup in Alpha Zion’s hands.

Alpha Zach is the pup’s father, and his presence is crucial to awakening Bella from her coma. However, their mutual animosity complicates matters, so I must find an alternative approach.

Perhaps connecting with him through the mark could rouse Bella from her coma.

"Alpha, I have a plan," I informed Alpha Zion, though his attention was fixed on the pup in his arms as he responded.

"What is it?" He sounded irritated by my interruption, understandable given the circumstances. The pup was contentedly drinking carrot juice, and for the first time, the crying ceased, bringing tranquility back to the hut.

"We need to talk in private," I suggested, debating whether a mind link would have been more appropriate, but Apphia was beginning to regain consciousness.

"Bella, where are you? Are you okay?" Apphia mumbled in her sleep, prompting Beta Madai to rush to her side and gently wake her. "Apphia, wake up."

Her eyes flew open at the sound of the voice, scanning her surroundings. "Where am I?"

"In my hut," I replied, adding, "you passed out, but I didn’t have time to have you checked. You might be pregnant too." She wasn’t, but this was the only way to divert her attention from what she saw.

"Really? Are you sure? How is Bella?" She asked, rushing to the bed where Bella lay, Alpha Zion glared at me, and I forced a smile. "She’s just tired after delivering her pup."

It was only then that she noticed the sleeping pup in Alpha Zion’s arms. The bottle of carrot juice was completely empty.

"He’s a cute bundle of joy," she exclaimed as she rushed to take the pup from Alpha Zion. He smiled and began walking towards the door. I followed him and began to explain the situation.

"Alpha, I have a way of quickly getting Bella out of a coma, but you might not like it."

"Tell me," he said seriously. I hesitated but explained it to him. "The mark. Since she’s both a she-wolf and Lycan, we can tell if she and Alpha Zach are mates, and if they are, then his presence can save her."

Alpha Zion looked lost in thought, but it was understandable. "Why do you think they can be mates? Draven had also claimed her to be his mate before."

Oh shoot, I forgot that Alpha Zion secretly loves Bella but Draven, the vampire prince? I had no idea.

Now, the complications continued to surge in my trying to find a permanent solution to this predicament. "I’m not certain, but if you were her mate, then you would have saved her," I pointed out. Pain shone in his eyes, but he forced a smile.

"It doesn’t matter that she isn’t mine. She’s still my best friend, and I’ll treat her like a sister." His heartwarming words filled me with hope, so I continued to explain it to him.

"It’s not unnatural for a she-wolf to have multiple mates. I’ve seen a few in my lifetime but will you want to invite Draven over? The pup likes carrot juice, and it isn’t because of the mark or the enchanted blood transfusion. He likely shares a special bond with Alpha Zach for that to happen."

At first, the mention of Alpha Zach would have made him upset but it wasn’t so anymore. Besides, to lose Bella to a vampire, Alpha Zion would rather choose his monstrous twin brother.

Understanding my point of view, he gave me the go-ahead. "Okay, so what exactly do you intend to do?"

"Well, I haven’t tried it before, but if I reach out to Alpha Zach through the bond, Bella will dream about him and wake up if they are destined mates."

The second option was to wait until Bella steps out of the coma, but that could have other effects on her well-being. Alpha Zion’s response stunned me at the end of it all.

"I’m interested in knowing as well if they are indeed destined mates because from all indications, the pup is his."

Wow, if he knew all this, then my presumptions are right, but the future was still bleak.

"Okay, then you have to let everyone leave the hut, including the pup. If my concentration is interrupted, the consequences will be dire."

He smiled. "Leave that to me."
