Crimson Moon Redemption: My Alpha's Brutal Mistake
Chapter 32: Help (Alpha Zion)

Chapter 32: Help (Alpha Zion)

"Alpha Zion, I didn’t tell you because I was ashamed when it happened, and only one person at the Crimson Moon tribe knows about it. Even he betrayed me in the end, but it didn’t occur to me to take herbs to prevent this," Bella confessed after she managed to convince me to come to her house.

Things weren’t looking good when we left the healer’s hut but the long walk was able to calm my nerves.

She looked genuinely ashamed and remorseful. Due to everything she did for Zach, we still owe her, even if she chose to be with someone else. I can never send her out of this pack; it’s her rightful home.

"I want to know exactly how it happened and who got you pregnant," I inquired. She didn’t seem like someone who would give in easily, so she must love the person to be carrying his pup.

"It happened during Alpha Zach and Kari’s engagement party. My pheromones were out of control, and I thought a glass of wine would help me feel better, but it made it worse," she revealed, wiping a tear.

For whatever reason, the news broke her as much as it did me, and I began to wonder if she didn’t like the werewolf she slept with.

"I don’t know how I ended up in that room at the pack house, and I sneaked out before having the chance to see the man I did it with," she concluded, her head lowered.

"Wait, you mean you have no idea who the father is?"

She shook her head, making me regret my words. I accused her when I didn’t know the details because I was disappointed.

"I’m sorry, I thought someone in this tribe got you pregnant." She shook her head and informed me. "I wanted to tell you, but I was so ashamed of what I had done and what you would think of me. But with this pregnancy, I couldn’t hide it anymore."

At first, she told me that she had no secrets, and now this. How could I rule out the fact that she might still be hiding something?

"Is there anything else?" I asked seriously. She shook her head. "No, Alpha Zion, now you know everything, including my greatest shame."

Her words caused something to move inside me, and my wolf, Javal, confirmed, ’I think she’s telling the truth.’

"It’s alright. Since the whole thing happened before you arrived, I will take responsibility for the pup until we determine who the father is. If he refuses to accept the pup, then I will adopt him or her," I decided, but she didn’t seem to agree.

"No, Alpha, you’ve already done so much for me. I can’t burden you with this. Let it be my responsibility alone."

How could I let her bear this alone? If things had gone as planned, she would have been Zach’s Luna, but he ended up hurting her. It was my mistake for scheming to win the Alpha fight, so I would clean up his mess and take care of the woman he damaged.

Now the vampire prince was claiming her, and I doubted he would want her pup. At least this would make him forget about her, and she could stay in our tribe.

"What I’ve said is final. You saved Zach’s life, and he’s still my twin brother. I will take care of you no matter what," I assured her. Her expression wasn’t as bright as I had hoped. "Do you have other plans?" I asked, she sighed.

"If you hadn’t found out that I saved Alpha Zach back then, would you still have taken responsibility for my mess?"

Her question unsettled me, but I had to be brutally honest with her. I didn’t want to at first, but after you explained how it happens, you can’t be blamed. Your heat kicked in when you didn’t have your wolf, and in this case, anyone can mate with anyone."

For the first time, she smiled. "Thank you, but I still can’t let you take that responsibility. It will disturb your relationship with your mate when you find her."

I thought she had a realistic thought process. "Zach and I have the same DNA. If he was the one to save you and not just failing but also hurting you, I don’t mind sacrificing my mate to make you my Luna," I said honestly, but she shook her head in refusal.

"To be honest, I can’t see myself marrying someone who looks like Alpha Zach. I will feel haunted."

So, that was it. There was no way to change my appearance, so I will just have to deal with her as I would a sister.

"It’s alright, I will still take care of you, and you don’t have to answer to anyone about the father of the pup you are carrying."

She smiled. "Thank you, Alpha, I will never forget your kindness."

A week passed, and things were smooth. I monitored Bella regularly, and since she wasn’t showing yet, no one suspected her condition except those who already knew. The situation at the training academy had been resolved, but Bella’s unusual cravings were concerning. The only person I knew who liked carrots, especially in juice form with orange and ginger, was Zach.

However, Dina reassured me that it was normal for Bella to have strange cravings, so I tried not to dwell on it.

The expert arrived with a synthetic wig for Bella, and I took him to her. "We need to shave your hair so you can wear this until the new wig is ready."

Both Bella and I were hesitant about shaving her hair completely, but it was necessary to maintain the length of the wig and allow her natural hair to regrow.

I was curious to see if Bella’s natural hair was truly red, adding another layer of complexity to the situation. After the expert finished shaving Bella’s hair, she showered while he packaged the hair strands.

"Make sure no one finds out about this," I cautioned him sternly, and he nodded in agreement. "Yes, Alpha."

When Bella returned, she was wearing the blonde synthetic wig the expert had provided, and everything seemed normal except for the fact that it wouldn’t last long. The wig would likely lose its shine within a few weeks, prompting me to ask, "Where did you get your first wig?"

She smiled and replied, "My mom gave it to me."

It’s no wonder that it’s difficult to obtain she-wolf hair for a wig in these tribes. After sending the completed wig to Bella, she expressed her excitement upon receiving it.

"It feels like I have my own hair back, but it’s been days and my hair hasn’t grown at all. Could there be an issue?" Her eyes dulled, and I could faintly guess the reason, based on my experience with pregnant she-wolves in the tribe.

"You’re pregnant, and your pup will be taking everything it needs for growth, including hair, from you."

Nodding in agreement, we chatted for a while before I left her house as night approached. I never stayed overnight, and after showering, Bella’s voice reached me through a mindlink.

’Help, Alpha Zion!’
