For the past few weeks, everything was going smoothly, and despite my concerns that Ivy might tell Zach about Bella’s presence here, nothing happened.

Though busy with leadership responsibilities and a heavy workload at the office, I made sure to spend a few hours with Bella every day, and she never took advantage of my kindness.

The wig was still being processed for her, and I wanted it customized so that it wouldn’t easily fall off, as she had requested.

Bella worked diligently at the factory, and her coworkers admired her for her speed and accuracy. She was an asset, and they appreciated how much she could accomplish in a short amount of time.

Training was progressing well, and she even had the upper hand against the she-wolf she was training with until she suddenly lost consciousness.

When she mentioned earlier that her condition was due to not having her wolf, I assumed she needed rest and carried her to her room.

I had also researched her being a chimera but couldn’t determine the exact DNAs she possessed. I briefly considered analyzing her blood sample, but that could potentially expose her to forbidden elements in our world.

Seeing her unconscious body filled me with worry, so I took her to the healer before receiving news about an issue at the werewolf academy.

’Alpha, the other Alphas are threatening to withdraw their pups if Alpha Zach refuses to assist with training,’ Madai informed me through the mindlink.

Initially, the academy was under Zach’s leadership, and all the tribes sent their pups aged four and above. Despite my best efforts, it seemed insufficient for them, and I was not willing to plead with Zach. I asked Madai, ’Where do they plan to take the pups?’

’I’m not sure, Alpha, but some mentioned training their pups within their own packs instead,’ Madai replied. That is where they went wrong. The purpose of the academy is not because the pups cannot be trained within their respective packs, but rather for integration and breaking barriers.

’Coming together allows them to learn skills from different Alphas of all tribes, ’I explained. He sighed and requested, ’Alpha, please let me explain it to them.’

As soon as the mindlink disconnected, I noticed Dina staring at me, as if she had something important to share. "Go ahead," I encouraged her, sensing her nervousness. "Alpha, she’s pregnant," she finally revealed, I felt numbness in my body.

"No, that can’t be," I exclaimed. "Maybe your skills are fading with age. Check again," I challenged her. She forced a smile and explained, "It’s true, Alpha, but I can’t determine how far along she is."

Bella pregnant? No man had ever been close to her, and she had even rejected me. I quickly checked the surveillance cameras at her house, but found nothing suspicious.

I had been the one escorting her from the factory to her house over time. "She’s not mated, so how is this possible?" I asked Dina, who also seemed puzzled.

A she-wolf becoming pregnant without a mate was a major concern, as she would be labeled as promiscuous. Wasn’t I good enough for her? I asked her to be my Luna, but she rejected me. She also rejected Draven, so who was she messing with? I quickly mindlinked Madai once more.

’Have you seen Bella with any man?’

’No, Alpha. Apphia even joked that Bella might die single because she’s too serious with work, never giving any werewolf attention or room for flirting.’

That was exactly what I thought until I heard the news, so I asked him, ’Then how can she be pregnant?’

’What?’ His surprise was evident through the mindlink, and I couldn’t blame him for it. ’Alpha, there must be a mistake. She can’t be pregnant,’ he insisted. I felt the same, but Dina was equally serious.

’Perhaps she’s the only one with the answers,’ I said before ending the mindlink. It wasn’t long before Bella regained consciousness, her face pale, but the pain and disappointment seeping through me was too great for me to care.

"Bella, how could you do this?" I blurted out. She stared at me with those innocent green eyes. "I don’t understand."

"You don’t? Why did you pass out then?" I asked, hoping she would be honest with me. She was the pregnant one and the only one who knew the father of her pup. After rejecting me, she moved on to someone else without me knowing.

"I must be exhausted from work. Like I said, it’s because I don’t have my wolf yet," she explained.

"Liar," I accused her, noticing the pain in her eyes. "Alpha Zion, please point out my mistake, and I promise to apologize," she pleaded with tears in her eyes, making me question why I had trusted her so much.

Even when she lied, she maintained that innocent facade, and I felt foolish for falling for it. It was the same act she put on after killing Iris, and I was grateful that Zach saw through her.

"Save your apology," I said as I stood up from my chair. How could I have been so easily deceived by her? With one last look at her fake tears, I headed towards the door, but she spoke up behind me.

"Alpha Zion, don’t I deserve to know why you’re angry and accusing me? I believe I’ve done nothing wrong, yet you’re hurling harsh words at me," she questioned.

Turning back to face her, I scoffed at her. Despite her manipulative ways, I was done with her. "Dina confirmed that you’re pregnant. If you have any decency left, you’ll tell me who the father is." She froze instantly, fear shining in her eyes.

"No, it can’t be. Please tell me it’s not true." She got off the bed and hurried to my side. In the past, I would have comforted her, but now I was done with her.

"Not true? Who is the man you slept with?" I asked sternly, prepared to confront the werewolf responsible. However, all she could manage was tears, struggling to speak through them.

"Alpha Zion, you won’t believe it if I tell you," she said, leaving me unsure of how to react. "That’s for me to decide. I want to know everything."
