Chapter 26: Then keep.....WALKING

As they walked into the clothing store, Haeun felt a rush of excitement. Brightly colored racks filled with clothes surrounded them, and he couldn’t wait to find some outfits that fit him properly.

"Alright, let’s find you some clothes that actually fit," Yeongsoo said, his eyes scanning the aisles. "You need a wardrobe update."

Haeun smiled, nodding enthusiastically. "I’d love that! Maybe some comfy pajamas too?"

"Sure! You can pick whatever you like," Yeongsoo replied, pulling a few items off the rack. He held up a cozy sweater. "What do you think of this one?"

Haeun grinned, taking the sweater and holding it against himself. "It looks warm! I’ll take it."

They moved on to the next section, where Haeun found a couple of casual shirts and a nice pair of trousers. Yeongsoo encouraged him to try everything on, waiting outside the fitting room with a small smile on his face.

After a while, Haeun emerged in one of the new outfits, feeling a little self-conscious but excited. "How does it look?"

"It certainly fits your frame," Yeongsoo said, his eyes lighting up. "We’re definitely getting it."

Haeun beamed, feeling more confident. They continued picking out clothes, and soon their arms were filled with new items: T-shirts, sweaters, and a couple pairs of jeans.

Once they were satisfied with their clothing haul, they moved to the checkout. As they approached the counter, Haeun’s heart raced with excitement.

The cashier scanned their items. "That’ll be 150,000 won," she announced, and Yeongsoo handed over his card without hesitation.

"Wow, this is all so much," Haeun said, watching the total rack up.

"Just think of it as an investment in your wardrobe," Yeongsoo replied with a smile.

After paying, they headed out of the clothing store, their arms laden with bags.

"Now, onto shoes?" Haeun suggested, glancing at Yeongsoo.

"Definitely! Let’s find you some cute ones," he said, leading the way to the shoe section.

Haeun spotted a pair of sleek white sneakers that he instantly fell in love with. "Can I get these?" he asked, holding them up.

"You can get whatever you like honey, no need to ask ," Yeongsoo replied, smiling. "They’ll go great with everything."

"Alright, then I’m taking these cute duck theme slippers, then you get this cat themed ones. They’re so soft, I bet they’re comfortable we can wear them at home.."

"Sure darling, whatever you like.."

Haeun blushed when he saw the aunties staring at them as quickly drag Yeongsoo away.

After picking out the sneakers and the slippers, they browsed through the pajama section, where they found matching sets that were soft and cozy.

"I can’t believe how many cute things there are!" Haeun exclaimed, loading up the cart with colorful pajama sets.

"Eunja does most of the shopping, so i don’t really buy any cute stuff and pick out neutral colors like white or black. I didn’t mind since I love white. But coming here myself, I guess I really cute stuff too.."

Yeongsoo nodded he guessed being a CEO had its own rules, he thought fortunate enough not to get the business sector of the family but now that he was about to have his own family.

He was beginning to have second thoughts.

Once they finished shopping for clothes and shoes, they moved on to household goods. Haeun’s eyes widened as they browsed through the aisles filled with kitchenware and decor.

"Look at these!" Haeun said, pointing to a set of cute matching kitchen towels. "They’ll brighten up the kitchen."

"Yeah," Yeongsoo agreed, tossing them into the cart. "And how about some fun mugs?"

They selected several quirky mugs, imagining their cozy mornings together. Haeun also grabbed a set of colorful plates that caught his eye, while Yeongsoo found a funky plant pot he couldn’t resist.

As they headed to the checkout for the household items, Haeun felt a mix of excitement and disbelief as the cashier scanned their items.

"That’ll be 120,000 won," she said, and Yeongsoo handed over his card again.

After the payment, headed towards the kids section to get some things for the baby.

Haeun had been wandering through the baby section, eyes scanning the racks of tiny outfits and shoes. He was lost in thought, imagining their child—wondering if it would be a boy or a girl, thinking of names, and smiling at the adorable, tiny shoes. He picked up one pair, then another, comparing them in his hands, before noticing how quiet it had become around him.

Looking up, he realized Yeongsoo wasn’t beside him anymore.

A frown tugged at his lips as he glanced around, suddenly aware that they had somehow gotten separated in the store. "Where did he go?" Haeun muttered to himself, scanning the aisles.

He wasn’t too concerned—Yeongsoo was probably just a few sections over, but still, it felt odd not having him close by. As he debated whether to call him or continue looking, a voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Looking for something?"

Haeun turned and saw a man—a tall, confident blondie standing a little too close for comfort. The guy’s eyes flicked from the baby shoes in Haeun’s hands to his face, an amused smirk pulling at the corner of his lips.

"Yeah," Haeun answered curtly, stepping back slightly, trying to maintain some personal space. "I’m just shopping."

"For your kid?" the alpha asked, his tone a little too familiar. His gaze was lingering, invasive in a way that made Haeun grit his teeth in annoyance.

"Something like that." Haeun’s tone was clipped as he turned his attention back to the shelf, silently hoping the guy would take the hint and move on. But, of course, he didn’t.

"You here alone?" the alpha pressed, stepping closer, his scent starting to fill the air. It wasn’t overpowering, but enough that Haeun’s body tensed involuntarily and feel light headed.

Haeun felt a rush of annoyance. He hated this—how alphas thought they could just walk up and impose themselves like this. "No," he said flatly, hoping that would be enough to shut him down.

"Really?" The alpha’s smirk deepened, clearly unfazed. "I don’t see anyone else around."

Haeun’s hand tightened around the baby shoes as he felt the alpha’s pheromones beginning to affect him. His heart raced, but he wasn’t about to show any weakness. "Back off," he snapped, glaring up at the guy. "I don’t need your help or your attention."

The alpha’s smirk faltered for a second, surprised by the Haeun’s resistance. He took another step forward. "C’mon, no need to get defensive. I’m just trying to—"

"I said, BACK OFF!," Haeun interrupted, his voice cold and unwavering despite the faint dizziness creeping up on him from the alpha’s presence. He refused to let this stranger push him around.

Before the alpha could respond, a sudden, intense wave of familiar pheromones flooded the air, cutting through the stranger’s scent like a knife. Haeun’s body immediately relaxed as he recognized it— it was Yeongsoo’s.

Yeongsoo appeared at the end of the aisle, his dark eyes locked onto the alpha standing too close to Haeun. His expression was calm, but there was something dangerous simmering underneath. His presence was overwhelming, his pheromones now filling the space, making it clear that this was his territory.

"Is there a problem here?" Yeongsoo’s voice was low, menacing, as he approached.

The alpha took a step back, finally sensing the threat. "No problem," he muttered, his bravado deflating as he backed away. "Just talking."

"Then keep....WALKING," Yeongsoo said, his tone sharp and final.

Without another word, the alpha quickly turned and disappeared down the aisle, not daring to look back.

Haeun let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding. His body relaxed now that the stranger’s pheromones were gone, replaced by the reassuring scent from Yeongsoo.

"You okay?" Yeongsoo asked, his voice soft as he reached out, brushing a hand against Haeun’s arm.

"Yeah," Haeun replied, shaking off the lingering effects. "Just some idiot who didn’t know when to back off."

Yeongsoo’s jaw tightened slightly as he glanced in the direction the alpha had gone. "I should’ve been with you."

Haeun gave him a small smile, trying to lighten the mood. "I handled it."

"I know you did," Yeongsoo said, his hand settling at the small of Haeun’s back, becoming more protective as ever. "But that doesn’t mean I like it."

"Well, next time, don’t wander off," Haeun teased, nudging him gently. "You’re supposed to be my shopping partner."

Yeongsoo’s serious expression softened just a bit. "Next time, I won’t let you out of my sight." He said it with a slight smile, but there was an edge to his words that showed he meant it.

Haeun rolled his eyes, but there was warmth in his voice. "Possessive much?"

"You have no idea." Yeongsoo’s gaze softened as he pulled Haeun a little closer. "Come on, let’s finish up here. We’ve still got more shopping to do."
