Chapter 25: I’ll get new ones

Yeongsoo’s arms wrapped around Haeun as he held him close, his breath still slightly ragged from their earlier moment. Haeun buried his face into Yeongsoo’s chest, his cheeks still flushed from embarrassment, but there was a warmth and comfort in the way Yeongsoo held him.

It felt safe.

"I really didn’t mean to," Haeun mumbled, his voice muffled against Yeongsoo’s skin.

"I know," Yeongsoo replied softly, stroking Haeun’s hair. "Don’t worry about it. You don’t have to push yourself for me, okay? I’m okay just like this."

Haeun nodded, feeling a sense of relief. It was still overwhelming—everything that had happened between them and the way things were rapidly changing. He never thought he would be in this kind of situation, yet here he was, in Yeongsoo’s bed, wrapped up in his embrace.

"I guess we’re not really good at this yet," Haeun said, his tone light, trying to laugh off the awkwardness.

Yeongsoo chuckled, his chest vibrating slightly against Haeun’s face. "It’s your first time. You’ve got plenty of time to get better."

There was a moment of comfortable silence as they laid there, listening to each other’s breaths. Haeun’s mind wandered back to all the emotions swirling inside him—the uncertainty, the growing trust, and the unspoken feelings. But there was something soothing about being close to Yeongsoo, as if, despite everything, it might be okay.

Haeun finally spoke again, his voice soft but filled with a little vulnerability. "Do you... really think we can make this work?"

Yeongsoo didn’t answer right away, but his arms tightened slightly around Haeun, pulling him even closer. "I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t believe we could."

Those words, simple yet sincere, eased something inside Haeun. He lifted his head slightly to look at Yeongsoo, searching his eyes for any sign of doubt but finding none.

"I’m not going anywhere, Haeun," Yeongsoo added quietly, his fingers brushing gently against Haeun’s cheek. "Unless you really push me away, I won’t leave you and even if you do I’ll just have to kidnap you and hid you with me."

"..."

For the first time, Haeun smiled, feeling lighter than he had in a while. Maybe—just maybe—things could work out.

"Okay," he whispered, resting his head back on Yeongsoo’s chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath him. "Together."

And with that, they stayed like that for the rest of the night, the tension and awkwardness replaced with something gentler, something closer to understanding.

The morning sun streamed through the curtains, warming the room with a gentle glow. Haeun stirred awake, blinking against the brightness as he took a moment to gather his thoughts. Memories of the previous night rushed back, leaving him feeling both shy and exhilarated.

Haeun glanced to his side and saw that Yeongsoo was still asleep, his features relaxed and peaceful. After a moment of hesitation, Haeun quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to disturb him. He padded to the bathroom, where he quickly took a refreshing shower, letting the water wash away any remnants of sleep. The warm spray relaxed his muscles and cleared his mind, leaving him feeling more awake.

Once he finished, Haeun dried off and dressed in the oversized clothes Yeongsoo had found for him the night before. They were still a bit big, but they were comfortable. He took a moment to admire his reflection in the mirror, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement about the day ahead.

As he stepped into the kitchen, the aroma of fresh coffee filled the air. Yeongsoo was already up, standing by the coffee machine with a mug in hand. He turned to Haeun, a sleepy smile spreading across his face. "Good morning. You look cute," he said, his voice warm and inviting.

"Thanks," Haeun replied, his cheeks heating up at the compliment. "I just showered. What about you?"

"Just waking up. I made some coffee. Want some?" Yeongsoo offered, pouring a second cup.

"Yes, please," Haeun said, moving closer to the counter. As he reached for the mug, their fingers brushed against each other, sending a little spark of electricity through him.

After they shared a comfortable silence over their coffee, Haeun decided to switch the mood. "So, what’s the plan for today?" he asked, curious about what Yeongsoo had in mind.

Yeongsoo leaned back against the counter, considering for a moment. "We’re going shopping for clothes. You definitely need some that fit you better," he said, a teasing lilt to his voice.

"Or I could just go back to my apartment and grab my old clothes," Haeun suggested.

"No way," Yeongsoo replied, shaking his head with an assertive tone. "I’ll get you new ones."

Haeun raised an eyebrow, noticing the possessive edge in Yeongsoo’s voice. "You’re pretty insistent," he commented, a playful smile tugging at his lips.

"Of course I am. I want you to have everything you need," Yeongsoo said, his expression serious, yet softening as he looked at Haeun.

Feeling a flutter of affection, Haeun nodded. "Okay, new clothes it is." he sighed it was the same result as yesterday.

Once they finished their drinks, Haeun moved to put his cup in the sink. Yeongsoo stepped up behind him, wrapping his arms around Haeun’s waist and resting his chin on his shoulder. "You know, I really like this," he murmured, his breath warm against Haeun’s ear.

"Like what?" Haeun asked, his heart racing from the closeness.

"Being here with you, sharing these moments," Yeongsoo replied softly, his tone becoming more intimate.

Before Haeun could respond, he felt Yeongsoo’s lips brush against his neck, sending a shiver down his spine. The kiss ignited something deep within him, and he turned to face Yeongsoo, their gazes locking.

As their lips met, a spark ignited between them, and Haeun felt a rush of warmth flooding through him. The kiss deepened, and he melted into Yeongsoo’s embrace, feeling safe and cherished.

But soon, Haeun pulled away, a sudden thought causing his heart to race. "Wait... what about—"

Yeongsoo interrupted, his expression shifting slightly. "What if we take this slow? I don’t want to rush anything."

Relieved, Haeun nodded, feeling grateful for Yeongsoo’s understanding. They took a moment to breathe, a playful air hanging between them.

"Alright, let’s just enjoy the morning for now," Haeun said, feeling lighter.

"Agreed," Yeongsoo replied, his playful smile returning as he took Haeun’s hand. "Let’s get ready for our shopping adventure."
