"Welcome back home, second mother!" three childish voices rang in her ears, welcoming her the moment she alighted from the car.

’Home sweet home, indeed!’ Briar was touched as she looked at the children she painstakingly raised and used her youth on them.

It wasn’t really a loss to raise them all these years. She loved them more and more.

Briar opened her arms as she looked at the kids with a beaming smile and cheerfully responded, "It’s good to be back! How about one big hug?" before asking teasingly.

As soon as she said that, the three rushed towards her, giggling and showing happy faces. Logan, watching all that, smiled unconsciously at the scene of such a happy family.

When Selena was still alive, he didn’t recall seeing something like that. Perhaps this was fated from day one. The deities always know about everyone’s destined path. From the beginning, he might have not realized it, but now that they were here, he was going to cherish what he had with everything that he had.

Briar, when she was embraced by the kids, automatically forgot about her husband and all the focus was on the three.

The butler and the servants carried the luggage inside, leaving room for the four to chat happily as they headed inside.

Logan could only follow while shaking his head at being ignored. The kids didn’t even pretend to greet them. He doubted if they saw him at all.

When they got inside, Briar opened the bags where the gifts she brought for everyone were.

The beef was all sent to the kitchen. Their family rarely ate dried and smoked meat, but since it was there and brought by Briar, they all looked forward to eating it.

There were dried fruits, vegetables and the like.

Last but not least, she took out several familiar herbal bottles, which were added to the kitchen pantry for future use.

Once that was done, the suitcase with clothes was brought upstairs where Briar unpacked it and not a single spiritualist cloth was found.

Briar took all the clothes to the laundry basket so that they would be washed later.

With everything unpacked, she freshened up and changed into something light before joining the kids, who were waiting for her downstairs.

It was now November, and the kids had more than a month before the third term of school came to an end. When that comes to an end, they would officially be on another wonderful holiday, which they all looked forward to.

With her return, Briar entertained the kids who had skipped classes somehow on that Monday and entertained them by telling them village stories of when she was still growing up. The mansion was filled with laughter, everyone felt jovial just seeing that wonderful atmosphere.

Later that night, Briar was the smaller spoon as she was embraced by Logan after a vigorous, intimate moment. After not being together for days, they were both hungry for each other.

"When do you want to get married?" Logan suddenly asked as he planted a kiss on top of her head.

Briar hummed as she fidgeted in his embrace, feeling his burning skin on hers, which was calling for trouble. "You mean the wedding?" she asked dazedly, doing her best to ignore the temptation falling on her.

"Yep!"

Upon hearing that, Briar pushed aside the temptation matter and craned her neck so that she was looking at Logan somehow, but the other straightened her neck as he scolded, "Are you not afraid of getting disabled by doing such tricks?" his tone was very stern.

Briar rolled her eyes as she rubbed her back against him, forcing the man to let a grunt, which made her sneer before responding, "Sorry about that, hubby! I just wanted to have a look at you!" her tone was very coquettish. It made Logan speechless as a glint of helplessness flickered in his eyes.

"Okay! Okay! Just don’t do it! Now, give me an answer!" his tone was urging as he said that.

Seeing that he was serious about the matter, Briar’s gaze flickered mysteriously before calming down.

"Um ..... since this will be my first and last wedding ... um .... How about we do it next year? I don’t want to have a rush wedding! I believe that there is a lot to prepare and consider."

"So ..... Do you mean that we should have it next year? But when is that?"

"Oh~ how about in February or March? That would give us a lot of time!" she suggested nervously.

Honestly, getting the wedding as soon as possible would be actually good, but Briar didn’t want to wrong herself and give those ladies something to talk about during their tea parties.

A woman’s wedding comes once. That’s if she wasn’t planning on getting remarried several times. In this lifetime, she only loves Logan and doesn’t see herself marrying someone else again. With that in mind, Briar knows that moving at her own pace, and having the wedding prepared in a way that would make her happy for the rest of her life, would be the greatest gift she could ever ask for.

Besides, there was that last impending matter before closing the Pandora’s box once and for all. If the wedding date was set this year, Briar was certain that a lot of money would be wasted. Money just doesn’t grow from the trees. People work very hard to earn it.

With that in mind, postponing the ceremony till next year would give everyone time to adjust as well as prepare seriously. Besides, Briar was certain that by the time the ceremony gets hold, she would be on the advantageous side.

Logan didn’t understand why Briar was postponing the wedding when she first suggested it, but after some thought, he realized that it would be too hasty to get married. It would be as if they wanted to hide some unexplainable truth.

Briar deserves better, and he was going to give her that.

If the wedding would be held next year, then it shall go as that. At least when the time comes, he will give her the best wedding ever. And one that isn’t rushed.

With her words ringing in his mind, ’This will be my first and last wedding,’ Logan couldn’t help but want to put more effort.

He wasn’t going to let her down and make her regret marrying him.

With that thought in mind, he acquiesced to her wishes before coaxing her into another round of passion.
