"I am glad," he smilingly said before adding as he looked at Briar. "I heard that you made an appointment with Briar?"

Lisa didn’t expect that Briar had already informed Logan about that matter, but she didn’t show it and answered politely, "Yes, we did!" without elaborating further lest she say things that would come back to bite her in the ass.

Seeing the conversation moving smoothly, Briar took that chance to exchange numbers with Lisa before urging Logan and Lisa to move.

They were attracting too much attention, and she didn’t like what she was seeing.

With guards flanking them on all sides, Briar ditched her husband and started chatting animatedly with Lisa. Talking about the salon where she planned to do her hair.

By the time they were out to the parking lot, Briar and Lisa had successfully made an appointment for the following day.

When they got outside, Lisa’s driver had also arrived, so she bade farewell to Briar and reminded the other to not forget before respectfully biding Logan farewell.

After her departure, Logan gently pulled Briar to the car and, like a gentleman, let her get on first before joining her.

Inside the car, Briar tiredly leaned on his shoulder as she asked about the welfare of everyone when she was gone. "How were the kids? They weren’t naughty and caused anyone problems, right?" concern and worry were visible in her tone.

Logan took her hand in his and couldn’t help but feel how soft her hands had become. "The kids were well-behaved. Ate on time, came back home on time and did their homework on time, as well," he reported the kids’ activities earnestly without hiding anything.

"Phew .... That’s good. I was worried for a bit. Tiana is more hyperactive. When she gets too excited, she tends to go astray for a bit. Its good hearing that she was well behaved. There was a hint of pride in her tone as she talked about the kids, Logan couldn’t help but recall how Raine tried to push Tiana as Briar’s child.

Meanwhile, on Lisa’s side, the moment the car glided away from the airport, she excitedly took out her phone and made a call to her husband.

She didn’t bother to think for a moment that he was at work, considering the fact that it was afternoon. She was too excited and wanted to share such good news with him.

She didn’t believe that he would ignore her or be angry with her once he knew why she disturbed him.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

The call rang several times and even hung up since no one was answering, but Lisa was persistent and didn’t give up. Unfortunately, after trying several times, her husband still didn’t answer.

She felt disappointed by that, but she quickly calmed herself down. He must be busy since he wasn’t responding. However, the excitement in her was way too much. She needed to share that piece of news with someone, and a name came to mind.

Without further ado, Lisa dialed her best friend’s number. The two had been close since high school and, fortunately, married into better families. Although it wasn’t all roses, at least their lives were much better compared to some of the ladies they knew in the society.

[Hello!] her friend didn’t disappoint her and answered quickly and that brought a smile to Lisa’s face.

"Dear, how are you?"

"Yep, on my way home!"

[Good! I am preparing a late lunch. How about you stop by my house and join me?]

Lisa’s eyes shone when she heard that. Her friend’s suggestion saved her so much trouble.

"Sure, then let’s meet at your house. I have so much to tell you!"

[Hehe, hearing your tone. Do you have some juicy gossip to share?] her friend asked excitedly, interest visible in her tone, which brought another smile to Lisa’s face.

"Um. I met a sweet couple. I can’t help but want to spread the sweetness I got stuffed with!" Lisa playfully shared with her friend, whose response was well expected, making Lisa eager to meet her friend as soon as possible.

After itching her friend’s appetite for juicy gossip, Lisa merrily enjoyed the drive to the other’s house even though her husband didn’t return her call.
