Seeing the envelope, he was reminded of Tiana. The child that wasn’t his and the father was unknown.

Raine, seeing Logan’s reaction and seriousness, she knew that he was getting interested in the matter. So, she decided to hit the iron whilst its hot.

"Logan, I know that I might have used some ugly means to get those results taken but there was nothing that I could do in this case," she started rambling about her actions and Logan’s face was dark as he looked at the results in front of him.

He didn’t know where this lab was, but the results were very glaring.

The DNA results verdict looked similar to the one he saw when he tested for Tiana and in this case, there were three documents with two having similar results and one completely different, which raised his eyebrows.

"What does this mean?" he asked coldly as he slapped the documents on the table angrily.

Raine smiled wryly upon hearing that but still responded, "I received some information from someone I don’t know to be honest but I can show you the emails that person sent," and hurriedly took out several photocopies which showed the conversation between Raine and that person.

When Logan got the photocopies, his eyes darkened, and he clenched his fist, crumbling those copies into indescribable balls.

Raine, seeing Logan’s reaction, pumped her fists victoriously and continued narrating her story.

"I was shocked when I received those emails. I didn’t understand what that person wanted to do, but the curiosity in me got the best out of me. So, I used some means to get some samples and did the tests.

The first test is between you and Tiana, which showed what the sender said. You and Tiana aren’t father and daughter."

’Who did this? Who exposed this matter? How is it even possible?’ Logan’s mind was in turmoil as he listened to Raine explaining.

When he took the tests, only his friend Wellington knew about it. At least knew about who was being tested against who. After getting the results, he shared them with his father, mother, and sisters. His children knew nothing of that matter, and neither did Briar.

He didn’t believe that Briar could do something like that. She had forgotten a lot of things. Besides, she didn’t even talk to Raine, so how could she expose such a matter?

Raine, who believed that Briar would be implicated, had no idea that Briar had received a clean pass and wasn’t part of the suspects who exposed that kind of secret. She was busy explaining and making her story look more vivid.

"The second test is between Tiana and Mr. Hilary. Since Selena is dead, using someone with the same genes felt appropriate. Hence the decision and the results came out negative again," Raine sighed heavily as she said that, her tone tinged with pity.

When Logan heard that, his eyes darkened as he lifted his head to look at Raine, whose words were starting to anger him in ways she wouldn’t be able to imagine.

If he hadn’t done any tests related to that matter and knew that Selena was Tiana’s mother, he would have believed this crazy woman.

The second he denounced Selena being not the mother, Raine’s ugly plot got revealed. He found himself calming down and all that fear of finding out that Briar wasn’t who she seemed, vanishing.

There were many evidences that Selena left due to her arrogance. Those diaries exposed a lot, and he knew who Tiana’s mother was, though the father was never mentioned by name. even Briar never mentioned the name except that he was dead. Since he was dead, he no longer mattered.

Raine, unaware that she was digging her own grave, continued to elaborate, getting excited the more she spoke. "I wondered why Selena couldn’t be the mother of the child and why you weren’t the father as well. And then I returned to those mysterious emails and found the answer. Hence, I did an extra test between Tiana and Briar and it came out positive."

"Ugh!" Logan felt like cringing when he heard that.

Briar is Tiana’s mother. Where was Raine taking this from?

If Briar was Tiana’s mother, then she should have still been underage when she gave birth to Tiana. If she was the mother, then Selena should have seen that pregnancy. With the way she monitored Briar and was eager for her to fall into her clutches, Selena would have known.

Besides pushing Selena aside, everyone at the mansion could have seen that. And most importantly, when he married Briar, she was still chaste, and untouched. So how could she have given birth?

He still has that sheet stained with her blood hidden in a chest for keepsake and yet this crazy woman was busy tarnishing Briar’s reputation so easily like that. How dare she?

"So, you are saying that Briar is Tiana’s mother?" after Raine finished explaining, Logan asked coldly, a smirk on his face as he looked at Raine.

Raine didn’t care about the way he was looking at her. She just knew that she needed to expose Briar even if he scorned her right now.

"Um, she is the mother. I tried to look for who the father might be, but because of the short time I failed to do so!"

"Hah! Raine, do you enjoy destroying another woman’s life just because you can’t have what you want?" Logan scoffed as he relaxed on the couch, now that he knew that this woman didn’t have anything solid.

Raine gritted her teeth as she saw his relaxed state and cold tone while defending Briar despite seeing all that.

"If I hadn’t checked all this, do you think that I would have come to you?" she said angrily as she clenched her fists.

Logan snickered as he tore the papers in his hands, threw them on the table, and responded, "You collected the samples using unexplainable means. What makes you think that I will believe that these samples truly belong to us?" was Raine’s dead brain for her to use such a method?
