Chapter 147: Chapter 147: 3-0

"This b**** is just pretending and I can tell you that Logan doesn’t love her. What does she have that Logan can actually like? This kind of shameless vixen, who knows how many men she had slept with before. How can you applaud and let Logan just marry a nobody? Aren’t you afraid of being laughed at?"

Logan never thought that he would return to the room to be slapped with such vicious words.

To think that Raine dared to utter such inhumane and hurtful words. To dare to scold his wife and even include him and his friends in that as well. How could she do that?

"Sniff .... Sniff ...." And hiding in Janet’s embrace was a familiar person, someone who had warmed his heart and made him believe in love again.

What kind of grievances did she suffer for her to cry in front of people she had known for just a short time?

Just how much did Raine bully her to the extent of cowering like that?

The more he thought about it, the angrier he became.

He wanted to rip Raine’s tongue at this moment, but when her voice sounded filled with reliance and grievance, he lost it.

"How dare you, Raine?" Logan bellowed at Raine as he marched into the room, his eyes red with anger and fists clenched.

He watched as Raine seemed stiff on the spot, but he didn’t care about her at the moment.

That little girl trembling in Janet’s arms was all he wanted to hold at the moment.

"Logan, I .... Its_" Raine wanted to explain herself as she turned around, but he cut her off with a warning gaze and that shut her up.

Briar, on the other side, upon seeing Logan, escaped from Janet’s embrace. Her eyes were red and tears streaming down her cheeks.

Just imagining how pitiful she was looking right that moment, for a moment, she thought how nice it would be if she could record that moment.

Unfortunately, such embarrassing acts shouldn’t be seen by too many people.

She looked aggrievedly at Raine and squeezed her eyes, making more tears fall down even more.

Logan at this moment had reached her, and without saying a word, he hugged her in his embrace and she wrapped her arms around his neck, sobbing lightly.

’His heart should be breaking right now!’ she happily thought as she looked at Raine, who stood there trembling in defeat.

When Raine saw that Briar was looking at her, she glared at her hatefully and didn’t want to say something. After all, with how Briar was acting, if she said a single word, she might not be able to explain herself. She had already lost face in front of Logan after getting caught saying all those words.

No matter what, she wasn’t going to be provoked by Briar to lose herself. But just because she didn’t want to do it, it didn’t mean that someone else was willing to just let this matter go like that.

How could Briar let Raine go? She wanted to discredit Raine in front of Logan and make sure that even if Raine brought the truth one day in the future, she would be defeated badly and be taken as a fool.

Seeing how badly she was doing her best to suppress her anger, she suddenly smiled at Raine and that stunned Raine who didn’t expect Briar to do something like that.

Seeing Raine’s reaction, Briar shamelessly mouthed at her, ’You will never win!’ before she resumed sobbing.

"You ....!" Raine, upon being provoked like that, was unable to suppress her emotions at all. Her face scrunched up badly and pointed angrily at Briar. And that was heard and seen by everyone in the room.

Logan scooped Briar in his arms and gratefully looked at Janet and the other four and said, "Thank you for everything, but I have to go!" and without waiting for their response, he turned around and started walking away.

However, Raine, who had been provoked by Briar, was so angry she couldn’t accept Logan being fooled by Briar like that. So, she emotionally burst and yelled angrily, "Logan, this girl is a liar! She is just fooling around and toying with your feelings. She isn’t what she seems. Don’t let her_"

Raine was so desperate. These people weren’t seeing what she was seeing. Briar was doing all this deliberately and showing her what she was truly like but pretended to be all nice and innocent when facing others.

How could she let such a person remain by Logan’s side?

Even if he hates her in the end, as long as she gets rid of the cancer, it would be worth it.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t everyone who shared the same thoughts with her as she got cut off by an angrier voice, which made her body tremble.

"Raine, if you have nothing to say, then pack your bags and leave. Don’t make things ugly here!" Wellington’s icy voice rang in her ears and she shuddered with fear.

Raine looked at Wellington, whose expression was so dark and icy that at that moment she believed that he was capable of doing anything and became speechless, and at a loss for what to say.

She helplessly watched as Logan coldly left the room with Briar, who was still sobbing while her head was buried in his embrace, and she felt even more wronged.

Why wasn’t anyone believing her?

As Logan reached the door, Raine exploded as she saw Briar making a three sign briefly before it was gone.

Even until now, she was still taunting and provoking her.

Wasn’t Briar just telling her that she had lost against her three times in a row now?

Unfortunately, all that could be seen by her and the others as if charmed couldn’t see a single thing.

Raine felt very aggrieved. No one was on her side and they all looked at her coldly.

As if that treatment wasn’t enough, her world shattered when she heard Logan’s voice. "Let me not see you anywhere near me or Briar. I will let you go for the sake of our past friendship. The second time you dare try something like this, I will take everything that is dear to you. I guess you don’t want to have a taste of how ruthless I can be!"

Raine stumbled as she felt her body weak upon hearing that warning.

That was the first time that Logan had ever said such hurtful words to her and, on top of that, a warning. He was warning her because of a woman who was tricky and double-faced. He was holding that woman like a treasure, and yet she was nothing but a faker.

How could he do that to her?

Unfortunately, she could only swallow her grievance and suffer the scorn of these women she used to look down upon.

If only she had known that it would end this way ..... those were her thoughts as she sat blankly moments later by herself like a fool.
